Explosive action, bullets flying, heroes, villains, and love, you don’t want to miss this next installment in Reese Knightley’s Out for Justice series. Read Ricochet and Collide before diving into the next story!

-Rampage -
Three strong, independent, and protective badasses are on the cusp of romance when tragedy and disaster come at them like a landslide. While they chase down a sex trafficking kingpin with a devious plan, life throws one challenge after another in their path.
Grumpy Phoenix sniper, Storm, wears a perpetual frown to keep others at bay. There’s a reason they call him stormy, which has nothing to do with the color of his eyes. He equates communicating with people to chewing on glass. It’s not that he doesn’t want to connect, it’s just that he sucks at it.
Easygoing FBI Agent Roscoe Burns navigates an unexpected tragedy that sends his comfortable world in a tailspin right when he’s found what he wants in life. But then, sometimes life has a way of providing the extraordinary.
Spirited Phoenix tracker, Wild, is reeling from a past he thought he’d left behind. When a golden chance for something greater emerges, his propensity to overthink things might just ruin his chances.
Storm, Roscoe, and Wild flirt around a burning attraction as Phoenix continues the fight against crime. Communication, tailspins, and tragic pasts are just some of the things these men will need to face when death comes knocking. Can three strong men survive the trials they face or will history destroy them all?

*Note from author - Rampage is not a standalone novel. To get the full enjoyment out of the story and characters, reading from book one is strongly recommended. Trigger warning: Human trafficking, mention of child abuse and murder

** 3.5 stars ** I liked this book ok. It was suspenseful, had a lot of stuff going on throughout the book. I liked that each MC had a well-built background but most of the book they were described individually more than as a whole plus the romance was a bit strained as if written to fit. I would have liked if it was MM rather than MMM. Don't get me wrong, physically they all were attracted to each other, and their intimate scenes were pretty intense. It was when sudden love declarations came out that I was confused as to when they managed to fall in love. There were chapters where I struggled to continue a bit. And there were so many villain names thrown in that it felt like I needed a list to figure who was who. It was well-written but something was missing for me to love it like the first two.

Audiobook review

Hold on you your hat’s everyone, things are about to get Wild (pun fully intended). Rampage is full of action, of all kinds. Bullets are flying, things exploding and Phoenix is trying to make the world better and safer by bringing down one monster at a time. This time they are taking on a human trafficker. It dangerous and for Storm, Roscoe and Wild it’s not only the heat of the fire fights they are facing, but also the heat between all of them.

I would recommend heeding the author’s note and start from the beginning with this series. I’ve read (listened to) all of the previous books, well both of them. Yet I still had more than a few moments where I had trouble placing all of the characters and their moniker’s/nicknames. There were just so many of them and every now and then it caused some confusion and distracted me from the events taking place in the story.

I love a good poly romance and was so excited to dive into this one. I mean navigating a relationship with two people is hard enough, so adding a third into the mix and making it work is fascinating to me. It also makes me kind of picky, I need everyone to be equals in the relationship that there is a balance and a genuine attachment between all of them. We did get that with these guys. There was no pre-existing relationship and they started out on equal terms, they made sense from the start and none of them disappeared. They were all individuals and they all had their place in the relationship. They worked.

My main issue with this book is that it failed to catch my attention. That’s all on me and should not in any way discourage anyone from picking up the book. So if you’ve read the previous books, do give this one a try you might love it. I can’t really put my finger on my disconnect, only that it was there for me.

Tristan James is a master with accents! I love them all and can’t get enough. He’s also has a talent for narrating mysteries. He makes the listener feel the heat and intensity of the moments as he adds so much feelings to his words. Sadly, not even his amazing talents kept me invested in the outcome. I didn’t dislike by any stretch of the imagination, I just failed at engaging. Anyway back to James, he has many different voices for the characters which helps keeping them apart. He knows what he’s doing and it shows in his narration.

I know myself, and I have a tendency to stick with a series to the bitter end. But this time I think I’ll try something new and try to stop here (time will tell if I can manage). Because at this point I feel finished, and I won’t leave with any negative feelings towards the series but will leave on good terms. However, I do believe fans of this series will be in for a treat (and probably a roller coaster or two) with the next book and Fear’s story.

Back to the time jumps and off page sex

There were some poor mistakes in this one - like spelling the name of a secondary character wrong - and the plotline went all over the place.

I liked the relationship between the three of them better than any of the suspense elements, but even that had its own issues, including the previously mentioned references to sex occurring off page and time jumps.

I'm also still ultimately baffled by the overall story arc, which seems to just pull bad guys out of nowhere whenever things hit a lull.

Still, there's something eminently readable about this series that's keeping me picking them up, and that's the fantastic found family that anchors Phoenix together.

So many questions...like why did mommy and daddy dearest rectify their situations after their baby bird left the nest. Was the hostage the reason why there is a clip of the birthday party. Who are the politicians involved in trafficking. I mean for this to have a global reach. Legal , state and federal officials have to be involved

Out of all the archetypes for a romance lead, the brick wall and the shameless flirt are not among my favorites. I can take them if I like the partner, but they're not favorites. This book has one brick wall (Storm) and a flirt (Roscoe) and a flirt with commitment issues (Wild). I had a hard time connecting with them as a triad. Especially because it was a constant push and pull between them where one walked one step forward and the other two walked a step back.
I did like the plot though. It was interesting. I am confused about how many people seem to know about Phoenix when in book 1 Noah says they are ultra secret and ultra elite. But they're working with the regular police and fbi and the likes. That does have me scratching my head.

Enjoyable but not as cohesive as the first two books

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series so I was very much looking forward to book three. Unfortunately this book didn’t work as well for me as the first two.

I really liked the three main characters Storm, Wild and Roscoe. The back stories are interesting and flesh out the characters more. Storm has intrigued me since the beginning so I was glad to get his story.

My issues came more from the style and the story pacing. The story is very disjointed. It jumps between the three POVs and with significant time jumps as well. The first 45% of the book is so herky-jerky that I felt like my head was spinning. I also felt like pieces of the story were missing. Part of that is due, I’m sure, to time lag since the last book. But other elements just seemed to happen in isolation and lots of things just didn’t jive for me. I can’t cite specifics without spoilers but a couple are pretty glaring so I think most people will know what I’m referring to.

The chemistry between the three MCs is well written and you can feel the connection. The poor communication is aggravating and that’s a particular annoyance of mine. Roscoe’s secrets at the beginning are the most annoying as there’s no reason for them.

There almost seems to be a strained effort to keep this story arc going in order to continue the series. This isn’t really necessary. They could have tied up the bad guy story that started with book one pretty easily here and then just moved on to a different bad guy in the next book. Phoenix will still be Phoenix without Lakhonins.

As I said, I loved the first two books so I’m definitely looking forward to book four which will be a day of release download for me. You can’t hit it out of the park every time so while not a home run this book is still a single which still helps the batting average!

I don’t know what it is about this series but I love it! We get Wild, Storm (❤️) and Roscoe in this and with the hints from previous books I knew it was going to be great.

I loved the sense of family in this. Roscoe has custody of his niece and nephews and he fought hard for that. And he was genuinely a great person.

Storm is my favorite. He was gruff on the inside but had the biggest heart and loved those kids more than anything. And Roscoe and Wild were his world.

Wild. My sensitive and caring Wild. He had parents who didn’t stand up when they should have and it messed him up. But these men and this family helped heal him.

I cannot wait until the next installment. All these men are amazing and I love reading about their happy endings.

Good Suspense With MMM Romance

Rampage is the third in the Out For Justice series and should be read in order. This one read to me as more of a thriller as the plot is a little more complex than the two previous books. That isn't to say there's no romance here - there's lots of pining between Storm, Wild and Roscoe and they do, of course, get their HEA, but there's less on-page steamy stuff than you might imagine. I'm invested in the overall story arc, so I really enjoyed the investigation aspect and how Storm and Wild uncovered their layers to reveal how their past has shaped them...the sweet slow burn poly romance is a total bonus.

Had to DNF after about 15%, and has me questioning my desire to keep reading the series.
Received a 1 star for the following:
Questionable grammar like "he drug his eyes..." had me biting my tongue.
The repeated use of "sexy" as an adjective about killed me- six times in two pages! Use a thesaurus. I didn't even make it to a sex scene, don't even want to imagine how that went over.
The text needs extensive editing and revisions. It felt like the author rushed and couldn't be bothered to revise for better enjoyment.

Series getting better

This would have been rated higher if not for Wild's antics... As it was, it almost ruined the chemistry between the trio and that I really cannot overlook.

Nonetheless, the writing is finally getting better. The editing still needs to be more thorough but like the writing, it's better in this and hopefully improves as the series progresses.

I have several reasons to give this story a low rating. Firstly because it's not a stand-alone. Authors are nowadays lazy to build a full story and prefer to send the readers grazing information in the previous books... the other reason that pushes me to rate this book 1 star is the content itself. I read dozens of Menage stories so far and I didn't like any of them. No, I am not against the concept, when there is love for two there is love for more.. but authors - at least those I read - haven't grasped the whole idea and lifestyle in those relationships, they just model the couples' outline on Menage stories what's a huge mistake. This won't be the first Menage story that I'd like.
* The cover doesn't upgrade the level either. If anything, it lowers the rating.

Action-packed, Intense, Twists and Turns....

Finally, Wild, Storm and Roscoe! It is a rollercoaster ride, for sure, what with Wild, always overthinking every little thing, Roscoe having a lot on his plate unexpectedly and Storm knowing what he wants, when he got around to it, but trying to think of a way to convince the other two.

It does not help that they have this nemesis who is bent in wreaking havoc on them and their team, I can assure you that it will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time! And the love of family is the strongest when everyone just open their hearts. I can’t wait for the next installment of this action-packed series.

Congratulations Ms. Reese Knightley! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

An EPIC read of 6 books in this series BUT there are actually 4 series with 19 books out so far (more to come). All the MC's are interconnected within their series and they all get their HEA. There are pop-up appearances of the MC's from the other series regularly. They could probably be read as stand-alone, you would just miss a lot of the nuances of the secondary characters, who have had their own story or will have their own story. I love them all!

I read this series first, then Code Of Honor series. Next is the Cobalt series, then Operation Justice Force. So many books, so many great MC's and so many entertaining stories.

Wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this one at first. The chemistry wasn't there for me.. but then it was and my complaints dried up, so I'm not even going to try to explain the issues I had at first. I'm trying so hard to line up events with this series and the other two I've read, but my sense of time is.. bad. I looked briefly for a reading order re: in-world chronology, but I guess I'm the only weirdo that wants that? Anyway. Super enjoyed this one and loved seeing some familiar faces pop up (I've missed Forest, okay? And also the gang at Cobalt Security).

I actually read the follow on series before this series and have been super disappointed. Honestly the amount of pettiness keeping these guys apart until the end is such a shame. They deserve better.

This was better than the second book but there still is something about the author's writing style that makes her books drag. The time transitions are not smooth which makes the story jumpy. Although her stories try to straddle two genres, it comes at the cost of the plot. Either focus on the plot and action and be in the thriller/action genre or make the story about the relationships and don't weave in far-fetched bad guys and storylines.

As for the characters, I first ran across them in the series Operation Justice Force. I wanted to learn their story, so I was glad to see they had their own book. I was disappointed in Roscoe as a character in this book. He wasn't believable. First, it was illogical that he would hesitate in taking a PMC position over his FBI job when a PMC contract pays so much better and he had a boss that was out to get him. His indecision went on way too long. I also thought it was contrived to have Roscoe abruptly leave Storm without telling him why he had to leave in the middle of their discussion. And as usual, the story had the ever-popular unrealistic trope of him falling too hard and too quick for both of them. I just didn't buy it.

There is something about the way Lash is woven into the story that does not work for me. I also thought Lash and then Wild taking off to Oregon without the team made no sense. I could see Mac and Noah doing that but not Lash and Wild. I found Wild's backstory and the setup about his parents too machinated and unrealistic. I was glad, though, that this book provided some resolution related to Jordan. I thought that should have been in the second book.

Overall, 2.5 stars but I rounded up because it is better than book 2 and I like Storm. The writing tends to drag out things, cover mundane stuff in too much detail, and jump around inconsistently in the timeline. And please, stop telling the readers everyone's eye color thirty times in the same book.

I'll read book 4 and then make a decision if I will continue the series.

Three is not a crowd

These three men make my heart sigh with happiness. Their connection and chemistry has all the feels. I love how one moment they’re so tender with each other and the next, watch out, as the sparks fly.

The karaoke scene had me laughing out loud. Roscoe’s sense of humor is so impish; it’s awesome. Seeing Storm smile and let down his guard made my day, and Wild makes me laugh with his playful attitude. Their pasts though broke my heart. There are some adorable surprises in this book, and Roscoe is my forever hero.

Speaking of, Roscoe’s boss is a jerk and I hate the situation he found himself in. Thankfully, Phoenix won’t allow him to flounder. I think I’ll rethink playing in the mud from now on, but I do love showers. I really thought it would be Storm who frustrated me the most but it turned out to be Wild. I wanted to yell at him but still give him lots of hugs.

“This is where you belong.” I love this family so much. I love how protective and possessive they are of each other but also how sweet they can be. They make me so very happy. Well done, Reese Knightley.

Ricocheted Collides with Rampage

Book three in the "Out for Justice" series is not as good as the previous two books,, however it still is a good book to read.

In Rampage the storyline continues with a group of individuals known as Phoenix who work with government and private sector groups to stop human trafficking amongst other criminality.

There is drama, suspense, some jovial aspects intertwined with serious romance and sexual encounters between three individuals who fall in love with one another.
Storm, Wild (who are part of Phoenix) and Roscoe (who is FBI but who may or may not join Phoenix) come together when Disco one's family is targeted. All three men struggle with personal demons as well as issues involving becoming involved in a relationship. This storyline was different and difficult to focus on and follow thoroughly.

All in all Rampage ricochets from one to another then collides into a rampage when one of their own is targeted by criminals who go after his family. This is when the entire team pulls all resources to save Moscow's family. Will they manage to save everyone? Read the book and find out!

A hot page turner to the end

In this third book of the Phoenix series by Reese Knightley, we are taken for a roller coaster ride with Storm, Wild and Roscoe. These three men are trying to connect with each other as they deal with the aftermath of the previous book.
But trying to sort out the feelings of three very different men is tough enough in normal situations, add in their very high stakes game.
Reese takes the personalities and builds on them. She creates a triad that is real and has very real lack of communication problems.
This book is high paced with lots of action and laughter, but you get the sweet moments with Storm, and of course all the sexy moments. But I love how this is built and woven throughout the story. Reese does an excellent job.

If you like high paced, page turning action sequences, with heat, read this..
And now we have to wait for book 4//

When you call in love it holds no barriers (color, size, shape, age, gender or limit) truth of love is reflected in this story.

FBI special agent Rosco has gone from bachelor to raising a family. He didn't turn to his best friend to lean on. Phoenix the special elite force is ready for a mission and Roscoe can not join in per orders from his new boss. Storm & Wild partners within Phoenix are there for him if he can just reach out to them. Most think they are a couple but they have never crossed that line hostile fear it would not work, it appears they are missing the link to connect it all together Rosco. This story is about all the baggage everyone carries and that person that touches your soul & allows you to be vulnerable and feel at home. This is a story of families come in all packages & love holds them together. V3,S3 a gay romance more reviews @my2centsbooklover

The audiobook is out now, and the narration by Tristan James is just as good as the first two books in this amazing series! I love this series and have been waiting for the audiobook to come out, so it’s no surprise that I finished it in 2 days.

I definitely recommend reading/listening to the first two books in the series first. Although each book in the series focuses on a different couple (or trio, in the case of this book which has a MMM romance), the books in this series are not really intended to be read as standalones. There is an ongoing plot throughout the series, and a large cast of characters that would probably be confusing if you tried to pick it up from this book.

If you enjoyed Ricochet and Collide, there is a lot to love in this book too. The action sequences are tense, with high stakes that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The romance sequences are sweet and sexy and I found myself very invested in this trio.

A real lovely story.

Honestly I skipped this book three people in a relationship is not for me. By the end of book 5 I loved all the characters but my favourite was Storm from the start. So I thought I would go back and skim read it. Well I ended up reading every word. Its a beautiful story. Wild is gorgeous and what he went through was do sad. Roscoe is great and his family is beautiful but thought he took to long to change jobs. But again I loved Storm he is such a caring man that will protect all he loves, a beautiful peace keeper. The drama in the book was really good and enough. Dont know if I would read another mmm just so glad I did read this. Would love to see more about Rush and Quick and Allison. At one point Allison was with Jake thrn kissing Rush!!!!!
Highly recommend the series.

This was a very dramatic story as the team struggled with everything coming at them and their families. Add to that the complex relationship between the three men and there was a lot of emotions, feelings and passion. Easy to read and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content.

I am so sorry I can't give this book more stars because it is worth many more!! Nothing like human traffickers and drug dealers with tons of fights and loads of love to get your heart pumping and this book has a running start from page one!
Roscoe, Storm and Wild all have a crisis in their lives that makes it hard for these three to be able to be together but with love and a lot o trust and a few kids this triad comes out the winners.
Now if we can only get the bad guys to quit beating on the good guys!!
Phoenix is rising with the speed of light. Much shuffling is going on and new people are being added as we speak for more action and adventure. So buckle your seatbelts and hold on tight because we have the next installment coming out soon!
