A practical guide encouraging authors to see how effective they can be at helping to promote their own books. It covers how marketing works, what opportunities there are, how authors can help, how to get noticed, and how to get local publicity, providing a real insight into the publishing process.
It stated the obvious, but I suppose most of these books do. Rule 1: Be creative. Rule 2: There is no rule 2. Rule 3: Same as rule 2. So that’s where I am going wrong!
I thought this book was very useful, I can't really write so I don't think I'm ever going to be a author but I am interested in publishing and marketing. It was good to see what the author is being told to do and how authors feel about publishers/people in charge of marketing their books.
