I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. This was a great book to read. There are more ways to have a baby then to have the two people getting together to make that happen, Teele wanted a baby and her friend helped her find the right solution to the problem. This was after Teele sworn off men. Now on the other hand there is Ross who donated his sperm to the sperm bank and guess who got the sperm Teele. Ross had no intentions of having a baby and he sure didn't have plans to have a family by artificial insemination.
Teele was sick of men acting like children and Ross of sick of gold digging women after his money. This was an exceptional book. I couldn't put it down for all the drama and twists in the story. This book was made to entertain you and it most certainly did that for me. I would recommend this book if you want a good laugh, an enjoyable read to entertain you for several hours. Make sure you have done all you plan on doing before you pick up the book to read because you will not put it down until you have finished reading it. The author did a great job on the book. I can't wait for the next book by Ms. Hart

Teela McDaniels wanted to have a baby and be a single mom without a troublesome male in her life. Because artificial insemination was such an expensive procedure, her BFF who works in the clinic decided to help her out – with stolen sperm. But when she finds out the little grocery store where she works has been bought out by Ross Day and many employees will be losing their jobs, she has lots more on her plate to worry about as she faces joblessness! Guilt-ridden, her BFF revealed the identity of her baby-daddy, none other than her new boss, and Teela’s life hit rock bottom! How is she going to cope with all of this?

Wow, I loved this book and know you will. Well-written with strong, likable characters and an entertaining storyline. Plenty of twists and lots of drama to keep you page-turning. Beware once you start this book you'll find it hard to put down. Ross and Teela will take you on an emotional roller coaster. Throw in some stolen sperm and things get interesting. I read an arc copy via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review.

Well, what can I say?
Mediocre, at best. The H and h both have serious issues.
But the problem goes deeper than that. Each chapter is purportedly from both his, and her perspectives. Yet, the entire thing is written in third person. It’s just...odd.
As a romance, it’s mediocre. The story line, is mediocre. The hea is again, mediocre. But, it was, for me, the format of writing third person, yet assigning each chapter to a character, that made it just annoying to read. Not a book I would likely recommend.

Lindsay Hart does it again, she writes an exceptional story. so well-written and easy to read. I loved it from beginning to end. I highly recommend getting this book and reading it.

This is receptionist twenty-nine year old, Teela McDaniels, and acquisitions billionaire Ross Day’s story line. BABY MISTAKE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Teela and Ross) BABY MISTAKE follows in the aftermath of Ross Day’s acquisition of a small town grocery chain where our heroine Teela McDaniels works. But Teela has one more surprise that is about to be revealed-the identity of the ‘misappropriated’ sperm donor used to artificially impregnant (her). Enter Ross Day, billionaire, business owner and new boss of Teela McDaniels-oh and don’t forget-the father of her unborn child. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text but some of the terminology was adolescent in nature including the use of the words boner and box.
BABY MISTAKE is a fun and flirty but oft-times emotional story. The premise is engaging; the romance is steamy and hot; the characters are immature, energetic and colorful

I had soo much fun reading this story. Lindsey Hart can't write a bad story. They are always good, well written, rich characters that you can relate with.
It starts out with Teela who is nearing 30. She has had bad luck with men. They are always takers and never care about her. The last one was a mean drunk. She decides to give up on men, but she wants a baby. Her BFF since they were 2 years old just so happens to work in a fertility clinic and during a power outage, she tool some supplies to help Teela. They did the turkey baster bit so now she is just about 2 months pregnant when she finds out the store that she has worked at for years has been sold. The guy who has bought it buys up mom and pop grocery stores and turns them into his chain grocery stores. When Teela hears they will be firing an older woman, she gets flaming mad, gets in the new owners gorgeous face and quits and threatens to hurt his business. When she goes home and tells her friend what happened, how the new owner is the devil, her friends tells her that if the owner is the devil, then she is birthing the devil's spawn.
Ross didn't grow up rich. He created an app to compare prices on groceries and to have them delivered. He made tons of money so now he is starting his own line of grocery stores by buying up old mom and pop stores that are loosing money and converting them to his line. He is tired of all the women wanting to be with him, not for him but for his wallet. So he has given up with women. When he takes over the latest store, one of the employees gets mad about him wanting to fire an older employee. He is just looking out for his bottom line. It's business not personal. He gets turned on not just by her looks, but by her passion, but he knows not to go for it. When she shows up the next day, when the doors were locked, she still had the keys, and asks him to come to her place so they could talk alone, he thinks she is hitting on him. When he gets there and she drops the bomb that she knows that he used to be a sperm donor years ago and that she is now pregnant with his sperm, he looses it on her. He thinks that either she is lying about being pregnant with his goods, or she is trying to get money from him.

The really funny part is when they get together to learn more about each other, for the kids sake, they can't seem to keep their hands off each other. Just about every time they get intimate, they get interrupted by one set of parents or another.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the enemies to lovers story of Ross and Teela. Ross was a billionaire businessman who buys businesses and turns them into a success. Ross buys the small grocery store where Teela works and tells them there will be people fired. Teela gets angry and fights with Ross, eventually quitting and threatening to have everyone else quit too. Teela was emotional and thinks she is right about the store, but she is also pregnant and needs a job. Teela got pregnant after swearing off men after a series of failed relationships, she decided to use artificial insemination to have a baby. When Teela's best friend, who works at the fertility clinic sees how much money it costs, she shows up one day with a sample and they do it themselves. She stole the sample, but told Teela it was about to expire an be thrown out, so it wouldn't be missed. When Teela learns the sample was from Ross, who donated before he made his billions and needed money, she thinks she should tell him about the baby. Ross is furious and thinks Teela is looking for money, but eventually they settle into a truce. Ross is very attracted to Teela and she agrees to work things out about the baby, allowing him to be a part of things. Ross and Teela are both fighting their attraction to one another and when they give into things, they are in for a surprise. They decide to try a relationship but things don't always go smoothly for them. I really loved this book, i laughed and at times wanted to cry. I really loved Ross and thought he really wanted to be with Teela and have a family, even if it was unexpected. Great one.

Teela has been mistreated and overlooked in multiple relationships. Ross has dated a series of women only interested in his bank account. When Teela tells Ross what she has only just learned - that he is the father of her baby - he assumes she is also after money.
The odds stack up against them making this a great story about love overcoming the odds. A few twists and turns are included to keep it from becoming predictable. Ross was a wonderful though flawed book boyfriend. Teela’s fiery spirit made her a heroine to admire.

Wow talk about wanting a baby so desperately that you have a friend who will steal an insemination for you! This is the story of Ross and Tella. Ross is a billionaire who started from the bottom with little money to his name as while trying to develop that app had to be a sperm donor to make ends meet of course this was before he hit it rich. He is now in real estate and buys/sells grocery stores and that is how he becomes a billionaire. The story starts off with him at one of these mom and pop stores that he just purchased and he is there to deliver the news that some will be let go while others will be retrained to meet his standards. Little does he know this is where he meets Tella whom is carrying his child, but neither know this. Tella is the “do it all” at the store, very valuable, but there is also an older lady that she wants to make sure that is not axed as she is currently raising a grandchild and cannot afford to lose her job. Ross informs her that Tella is not being let go as the only female being let go is one up in age which is her friend and she lets him have it – threatening she will boycott and have everyone quit including the vendors. The story takes off from there as she then finds out from her friend Amy that the stolen insemination is from sperm donor Ross.
The banter between Tella and Ross and all of the embarrassing moments are to die for. You will enjoy this book as it’s a page-turner, I could not put it down.

July 4, 2019This was the first book that I have read from this author, and what an enjoyable read it was. Both Teela McDaniels and Ross Davis have been burned by past relationships, and both have come to the conclusion that they are not meant for marriage. But Teela wants a baby, so her BFF Amy, who works in a fertility clinic, sneaks out a prime sperm donation, that had been sitting around a while, and inseminates her with it. And it takes. Meanwhile, the Mom & Pop store that Teela works for, gets sold to Ross Day, billionaire, business owner and unknown to Teela, a home grown man, who donated sperm, to help finance his first business, an app. Sparks fly between them from the start, but after Amy confesses that she used his sample, Teela feels obligated to tell him about the baby. What follows are some laugh out loud scenes, when Teela's hormones are on overdrive and Ross finds for the first time, someone who he thinks about all the time. Can they both get over the baggage that they have been carrying around from the treatment they have received by those of the opposite sex?

WOW! I absolutely loved this book and would happily give it ten stars. “Baby Mistake” is the story of Teela and Ross. Teela has had some awful relationships and is off men forever, but she would really love to have a baby. Ross has also had some terrible experiences with women, he is wealthy and doesn’t believe that there’s anybody who would want to be with him just for him. All of his time and effort goes into his business, he buys up small grocery stores and adds them to his profitable chain. Ross has just bought the store that Teela has worked at for the last eight years. I’m not giving you any more details, I don’t want to spoil your reading pleasure. I’ve read a lot of books from Lindsey Hart and this one is definitely up to her excellent standard. It’s well written with a unique storyline that I haven’t read of before. The characters are wonderful and there are some very hot and exciting scenes. The story is also very amusing, in fact, some scenes are downright hilarious. Honestly, do yourself a favour, read this book now, I guarantee you’ll love it as much as I did.

I love reading this author's books. There is always a really good story to go along with the amazing characters that pull you along for the ride as they search for their HEA. This book is no different. Meet Teela and Ross. Teela is a strong, independent and determined woman that knows what and where she wants to be in life. She doesn't have a man to get her pregnant so with the help of her BFF, she gets artificially inseminated. Ross is a wealthy man that honestly is tired of being sought after for his money. The day these two meet there is fireworks. Teela gives Ross a piece of her mind as she protects her coworkers. This is only the beginning of what is in store for these two. What until Teela figures out the sperm is Ross's and Ross finds out his sperm got out when it never should have. This book has a few twists, a few good laughs and of course plenty of sexy hotness along the way. Do Teela and Ross find their HEA? You betcha but it's the bumpy ride to get there that makes it worth it!

Lindsay Hart has another excellent read, keeping your mind trying to figure out what will happen next. Teela has sworn off relationships with men and Ross had as well backed off relationships with women.
Ross had purchased the grocery store where Teela worked and announced some workers were being let go. This upset Teela and started a battle between the two of them. Teela is pregnant and is hoping to keep her joy for as long as she can work. But after arguing with Ross about who should stay and who should go, she quits her job. Teela finds out who the babys father is, even though she is not supposed to know, She wants to make sure the father knows who his child and and wants the child to know who its father is. She announces to Ross that he the baby's father and here we go again with another battle between them.
I could not put the book down even though I knew I need sleep. The suspense between the two of them will keep you reading. I hope you enjoyed the book as much as I did.

Teela decides that she's done with me and don't need them have a baby. Enters her best friend Amy to make it happens. What they didn't expect was the anonymous donor was closer than they were prepared for. Ross (aka sperm donor) is Teela's new boss and things are about to get complicated.
Overall, I liked the story. There were some parts that I thought were a little unbelievable like (**Spoiler**) Teela quitting her job on Ross's first day as the new owner. I don't know any newly pregnant woman who works at a mom and pop store that will do that only on the grounds of principle. Especially considering had no other job in sight and expected others to quit too. Sorry, but that was stupid and no one in her right mind would do that. The characters are relatable and showed just how caught up we can get in our emotions and be or say stupid things. We've all be there. Luckily, I know it's only a story and I got past it. It's a quick read, and I think you'll enjoy it too.

I don't know any newly pregnant woman who works at a mom and pop store that will do that only on the grounds of principle. Especially considering had no other job in sight and expected others to quit too. Sorry, but that was stupid and no one in her right mind would do that. The characters are relatable and showed just how caught up we can get in our emotions and be or say stupid things. We've all be there. Luckily, I know it's only a story and I got past it. It's a quick read, and I think you'll enjoy it too.

This was a heart warming story of two people who had given up on love and a baby that was wanted from conception. The characters in this story were real and heartbroken but with the help of a baby on the way made them take stock of their lives and the decisions they had made. Love does not always come easy, it has to be cared for and wanted. It can be hard top open your heart to another person when you have been hurt so many times in the past. Teela's decision to have a baby as a single parent is changed when the father decides to be part of the pregnancy. Ross never expected to know anything about the babies his sperm donation created but when he does he realizes that he wants to be a father to this baby. More importantly he want to get to know the baby's mother as well. He was attracted to her before he knew about the baby and he finds he wants her for herself not just as a mother for his child.

Teela just wants to have a baby without the heartache that a man brings with him. Her friend Amy sympathizes with her so one night when the power goes out she steals a donation of sperm and some equipment and brings to home with her to inseminate Teela. Teela ends up pregnant and she is happy about it until she learns that she might be out of a job. Her market just got bought up and there will be some downsizing. The person that bought it is Ross Day and he is known for firing a lot of people after a buy out. When she ends up quitting but none of her friends follow suit it upsets her and she vents to her friend Amy about the Troll Day and learns that he is her baby daddy. Will she keep the baby a secret from him or tell him about it? Will Ross want to be a family with her?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Ross has always wanted to buy a grocery store in his hometown. When the opportunity to buy a store in his hometown opens he jumps for the chance. The owners of the grocery store that Ross decides to buy doesn’t tell their employees that they sold the store. Teela works for the grocery store and she is very upset when she hears that the new owner is Ross and he is going to be firing some of the employees that have been there forever. Teela confronts Ross about him firing certain employees and she eventually quits. Amy, Teela’s Best Friend, happens to works at an artificial insemination company. Teela has been trying to be artificially inseminated but it is just to expensive, buy Amy comes to the rescue. This is a book that will keep you entertained from the beginning to the end. I really enjoyed reading this book.

I received this book as a gift of an advanced read copy and I would like to give an honest opinion of what I read.
My goodness I laugh so hard I cried at times. I loved the character so much. I wish I had a friend like Teela. I think that she would have made life just fantastic with her humor, and her outlook on life. To think that she did all of this on a whim on stormy night without questioning with her best friend Amy was such a great idea. Both Teela and Ross have had their share of bad relationship, though different from the other they had so much in common. That they were secretly drawn to each other from the very start but in denial. It was like watching a flower form from a bud and slowly start to open. It even weathered the storms that came. The predicaments that the two of them got into was hysterical. I wouldn’t want to wish any of that on my worst enemy. This is one awesome book to read and I am so glad that I did.

This is another great fun read from the very talented Lindsey Hart I always enjoy her books as her characters appear so real and the stories flow so well

Loved this from start to finish. Lindsey Hart did it again with another great, cute amazing story. A woman Teela is set on being a single mother because of all the bad luck she’s had with men. Her best friend helps her with this and has an idea for her. Ross Day is a Billionaire who takes over the grocery store that she works at becomes the devil to her lol. They have choice words with one another and things get heated. Teela quits her job because of how he wants to run the store. She’s talking to her best friend about the situation that happened at work when he friend reveals a big secret. She’s having her bosses baby!!! She’s in big shock and doesn’t know how to go from that point. Ross finds out that she is pregnant and he is upset at the situation. But eventually things get settled and they talk about it. This story has a cute twist to it and will have a great HEA!!

Well, Ross is s corporate raider and he’s just bought the mom and pop grocery store Teela works at.
They don’t get off to a good start. At all.
And it’s downhill from there because she’s already pregnant with his baby before she even met him. Teela is eight weeks along with misappropriated sperm. Because Ross wasn’t always rich, that’s a relatively new development.
Ross is off woman, bitter that he’s seen as only an atm.
Teela is off men and doing the solo mom thing.
It just got crazy in here. Cuz they are gonna be parents.
Sassy, smart, funny, feisty. Yep.
I loved that they addressed their issues, you know, like adults, who communicate.

Teela wanted a baby, without a significant other because she hasn’t had good luck with relationships, but couldn’t afford the fee for artificial insemination. So happens her bestie Amy, works there. So will they miss a sample and some supplies? They do a turkey batter rendition and Teela is pregnant. Then the grocery store she works at is bought by Ross, a hometown boy who is back, and has to lay-off some people. He is not her friend. Now, wait a minute...Amy has a confession to unload, Ross is the donor for the baby. Teela does the right thing to give Ross the opportunity to be involved in the parenting, or not. Now mix up some hormones and unmistakable attraction. Yup, they are having a thing. Have no fear, Amy has another secret to share. Nicely written and a lightweight, entertaining read.

Teela McDaniels works for a mom and pop “Whole Foods” type of store. Hometown boy, Ross, has made a small fortune and has come home to invest and diversify his profits and buys the current owners out. As he starts to make changes, Teela shows her fiery side and sparks fly from there. Ross is attracted to Teela but completely annoyed at the same time as she shares her righteous indignation of his plan for making the store profitable. Little do they realize that she is carrying his baby because of an outrageous plan by her best friend to help her have a child. Teela is done with men and done waiting for one to have a child. The story has some funny twists and turns. I really enjoyed it. Lindsey Hart always has a creative way to weave a story and this one is no exception. Fantastic story!
This novel has turned out to be such an entertaining story about Teela who wants to have a baby in the worst way but wants nothing to do with men. Amy, her best friend grants Teela her wish & makes it happen illegally. Amy eventually tells Teela who's the sperm donor & coincidentally it's her enemy, Ross. Putting their hatred aside, they do what is best for the baby. These 2 characters are so lovable, their parents each having their own unique reactions to their baby news. My favorite part is Ross' mom (Mrs. Day) saying: "So dear, how long have you been pooching my son for?" This mom cracks me up laughing at her bluntness as well as the whole novel is littered with plenty of chuckles. I loved it & Lindsey Hart continues to tickle my funny bone!

Wow what a story I laughed so hard then I shed a few tears I love emotional stories and tough women who are soft on the inside but don’t show it. I didn’t like the way Teela got the sperm from her best friend who works at the fertility clinic and it happens to be Ross Day’s there’s something funny going on not funny haha but funny strange. When Ross learns that Teela is pregnant with his baby he’s not happy and he believes that she is after his money like other women he’s dated, Ross has purchased the store that Teela works in and Ross goes to fire a grandmother but she needs the job to look after her granddaughter and that doesn’t go over well with Teela and she lets Ross have it. This is a fantastic story and another hit by Lindsey Hart and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
