Life can slide out of control when you least expect it.
Of his group of friends, Zach is the only one yet to find his kinky-ever-after. The contract killer, Harlequin, is still on the loose, Zach’s dad is ill, a result of the stress caused by knowing the family amusement park is being used as an exchange point by drug runners, and Zach is faced with problems much tougher than the mathematical equations he’s used to.
Daniel Raynott has had his eye on Zach for some time. Now that Zach is no longer in his class at the university, he can act on his instincts and give Zach the guidance he desperately needs. As a Dom, Daniel demands obedience. As a man, he falls hard for Zach’s vulnerable innocence.
A boring summer has a lot of appeal, but Zach has about as much control over events as he does a trip down the helter skelter. He finds himself in danger more than once. Will Daniel be able to protect him or will the holiday season culminate in tragedy?
Lucinda lives in a small village in the English countryside, surrounded by rolling hills, cows and sheep. She started writing to fill time between jobs and is now firmly and unashamedly addicted.
She loves the English weather, especially the rain, and adores a thunderstorm. She loves good food, warm company and a crackling fire. She's fascinated by the psychology of relationships, especially between men, and her stories contain some subtle (and some not so subtle) leanings towards BDSM.
This is the third installment of the Fairground Attractions series and best enjoyed after Ghost Train and Merry-go-Round.
Zach is so envious of his friends and their happiness. Is it too much to ask for a Dom of his own? He's been having a huge crush on professor Daniel Raynott for what it seems like forever but he can't imagine himself to be worthy of the older man's attention. But when, during a pool party at Clem's house, Daniel declares clearly that he's very interested in pursuing a relationship with him,Zach's world becomes a happier place. It seems like, despite his insecurities, he's the perfect sub for the domineering professor.
Things between them get hot and kinky, but there's no time for Zach to really enjoy his first experiences with his Dom,because his father suffers from a heart attack and worst of all,Zach is kidnapped by the Harlequin assassin.
Helter Skelter is really fast and despite how short it is,the story really packs enough adrenaline to speed up the heartbeat, between the hotness and the danger. Adam,Stevie,Garth and Zach all have their happy, kinky relationships, the investigation is at ending details and the group of friends are safe from the Harlequin...or are they?
All three books in the series are fun to read and I really recommend them.
You almost think this book could be an ending to this series, but is it really? Things that make you go hmmm. Those boys of the fairgrounds should know how to stay out of trouble by now, but they seem to have it called to them like a magnet. Harlequin is still around watching and after Garth and Stevie already being hurt, everyone is on guard. But Harlequin has fooled them all. After a rainy day and shutting everything down, everyone is expected to meet at a certain spot, but Harlequin fools Zach. Thinking he needs help, like he asked, Zach follows, but quickly finds out he's being taken for a ride and he has no choice. Before Harlequin can do any major damage to get what he wants from Zach, Zach is rescued. But there are secrets being kept and it's not realized until all three boys are caught by Harlequin again. Thankfully after a threat, he lets them go to go do the work he's been hired for, but he's been captured. Everyone thinking it's finally over, when Zach receives a text showing a smiling Harlequin on the run. So do they live in fear or accept maybe that it's just a warning? Zach was already in a state with this book. The tension from Harlequin, his dad maybe having to retire, to definitely having to retire for health reasons, being jealous of his friends new relationships, and then being around a certain professor that gets his heart pumping in ways he never thought. Everything is all muddled in his head and when he's kidnapped, it's terrifying even more to think he will never be able to even say goodbye. Especially for his dad. But I love that Daniel isn't there to just play. He means serious business and he knows just what Zach needs to clear his head. He knows what Zach needs period. And he does what he's made to do. Takes care of Zach in all ways. Until one point anyway. And he wasn't happy about it. I've absolutely loved this series, but this to me almost felt like a cliffhanger with Harlequin running around. I mean the rest of the guys are moving on with their lives, with school and their mates, but it almost feels like there is unfinished business. Maybe another book? Because if you've been keeping up, we all know Harlequin isn't done with his work.
this was a really good series.. this one was fun and interesting.. it was action packed which is always fun. this was a quick read.. and wrapped it up well.. i was happy to see zach get his hea... it also kept me curious to see what was happening next. very good story!
Helter Skelter is the third book in the Fairground Attractions series by L.M. Somerton. This book delivers action, suspense, BDSM and humor. Zach and Daniel heat it up and get you glue to the pages to see what happens. It's a quick read like books 1 and 2, definitely a satisfying addition to the series.
I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
3.5 stars... I enjoyed this one but not as much as the other two it just seemed a little the same but with a different friend this time.
Zach has been mooning over his professor for the last year. He knows he is the one for him but why would someone so smart and sexy as him look zachs way.
When zachs dad ends up in hospital from heart attack after all the troubles at the fair ground Daniel offers to taken care of him.
The romance is instant same as the others but what I didn’t like was Zachs mother told Daniel to bring her young 20 odd year old son home and look after him with a winky face after meeting him for 2 minutes despite the fact he was his professor and years older.
Asides from that I liked it and we got a conclusion of sorts that I really enjoyed.
This is the third book in The Fairground Attractions Series. An interesting book the writing was okay. I do wish that it was longer things just don’t feel complete as short as these books are, but I have enjoyed reading them. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters likeable. Zach and Daniel are the MC’s of this book. The elements of BDSM is more hardcore than the first 2 books but middle of the road compared to other books. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.
