Crispin visits Wills in the liberal town of Athens, four hours from the Georgia coast. He worries their relationship won't have changed much from their time in Savannah's stilted high society. But without the strictures of their repressive upbringing, he and Wills find something else entirely.
The continuation of Wills and Crispin. Two boys, best friends since kindergarten, and now lovers. But living in Savannah and be more than friends isn’t really an option.
Now Crispin travels to Athens, to Wills, where Wills studies and live with his twin brother in an apartment. They can be free and enjoy each other. And that’s exactly what they do!
I loved this kind, passionate story. These boys are intense in their own special way. Words are important but not all the time. They can just do without, their bodies speak louder. Written in a captivating way, I felt connected. It had an amazingly joyful vibe. Their sexy togetherness is hot and intense. I loved this super short story dearly. Please let there be a continuation. I really want to get to know them better and see them grow together.
A really great continuation of the Crispin and Wills saga!
Part 2 is everything I hoped to find, more characterization, more local color, more flavor, more romance and more steamy southern style sex. McBryant beautifully ups her game and I can't wait to get into the next installment!
5 stars for Like Sunshine by Julia McBryant. This is book two in the Southern Seduction Series. This story is touching and touched my heart in many ways. I am relatively new to the male/male genre, but I have to say this series is shaping up to be one of the best I have read in this genre. Yes, it is really short but it still pulls you in, and gives you all the feels. Will and Crispin pull at my heart string so much. In this book they are in Athens together and it is so much different than being in Savannah is. They actually get to go out as a couple. They get to hold hands and go on dates in public with out having to worry about anything. They get to see what it would be like if they were out as a couple. They both have issues with coming out of the closet to their families. They just don’t know how to do it. I want to say I think Wills is closer to being able to , Crispin is still closed off to the idea it seems. Julia McBryant has a way of writing that give us, the readers an idea of what it would be like to be gay in the south. My heart is breaking for these two. I want them just to be able to be out and be happy. I honestly can not wait for more of this story.
Adorable and sweet, sexy and short. I totally got into this story.
Two best friends, living in separate cities, get together over a weekend. At first it's a bit awkward, neither knowing how to act, but soon they bridge the distance between bodies and realize that they just needed the physical connection to get back to their steady, happy place. But life is real and Wills' brother Henry isn't thrilled about their very public display.
Crispin and Wills' story was very sweet and real. The tentative way they greeted each other at the start, the love that poured out of them when they were comfortable again, all of it just told their story so well. I enjoyed the author's writing style and the descriptive way she engaged the characters as a couple, despite any protests by outsiders.
This was a short, sweet, engaging read that just kept me wanting more of their story.
OMG! Guys!!! I'm absolutely in LURVVVVE with Crispin and Wills! <3
I'm also a big fan of these short erotic romances. They are just the thing when you need a dose of love with a touch of angst and a whole lot of sizzle.
Crispin and Wills found a place in my heart right away and they are now in my top 5 favorite couples of all time! This second installment picks up shortly after they left off in the first book 'It's Enough' (Southern Seduction Short: Crispin and WIlls 1). These need to be read in order so be sure to grab the first installment! These guys are so engaging and you will be just as invested in their future as I am! There's just enough angst to make it thrilling, there's the sense of fear that they might be outed and the love... so much love that these two have for each other and last but not least is the sizzle, because when they get together the chemistry is explosive!
I am in love with Crispin and Wills. The book title is perfect because they are literally "Like Sunshine".
These boys are so in love with each other and it's hard to be secretive when all you want to do is just be together and not care what others think.
Wills and his twin, Henry, live together and Crispin drives from school to visit with Wills. Who knew that Henry swings both ways? Certainly not Crispin. But, who cares really. Apparently Henry thinks that Wills should keep his relationship behind closed doors, because as Henry puts it "Your digging your own grave". Wills shuts him down like right now and offers up his own shovel.
I really loved this book and now onto the next one...
In the second book of the series, we get To see Crispin and Wills back together again but this time in Athens. While Crispin visits Wills at college, they are able to be more demonstrative about their feelings, which can’t help but make their love grow stronger. As these stories are short, I felt like we got to know these two men a little better in book 2 and get a better understanding of their pasts and how that shapes their relationship. Looking forward to seeing this relationship grow!
Crispin and Wills are so sweet. It's obvious how being apart weights on their hearts, and it's touching to see their happiness for being able to just hold hands without fear,or their appreciation for small touches that they can't take for granted. Like Sunshine is intense, fun and hot. My only complaint is that it's too short. I want more!
Author Julia McBryant is not only an amazing author, but so sweet and funny to talk to. Crispin and Wills have known each other since they were 5 years old. Never did they realize their friendship would turn into such a sweet romantic love affair. Shy at first, in public, they gradually got comfortable with showing their love for each other in public. Things heat up gradually in the bedroom, dance floor, other places. Crispin gets past his shyness and ends with a bang! Pun intended
A weekend of freedom is what visiting Athen becomes when Crispin makes his way to Wills, and they are able to hold hands in public, and be boyfriends rather than pretending to be something else.
Hardly able to keep their hands off each other makes this a very hot book, and even though Henry have everything about them showing their affection, it doesn't dampen their happiness.
The m/m book is hot. Definitely read the first so you can keep up. I love how these two are figuring out what they want and how much that want each other. I can’t wait to read what’s next
Julia McBryant has done it again! I loved every minute of this book and cannot wait for more! There's something to be said about great writing and let me tell you friends this author has it. Come explore how love wins in the South with Julia McBryant!
I love the way Julia writes this series. It makes me feel like I'm there. I'm Wills or Crispin discovering the joy and pleasure of love with my best friend. Can't wait for #3
Another installment to Wills and Crispin’s story! Each of these shorts act as a little vignette into their relationship and it’s starting to get even better! I’m excited to see how the story unfolds.
I really enjoyed Like Sunshine which is second book in the Southern Seduction Series. I love Crispin and Wills! These two best friends will work their way into your heart. Julia Mc Bryant did a wonderful job, I really hope that there is more to come with these two, I want to read more :)
What a wonderfully well written fast reading love story with lots of heat! When Crispin goes to visit Wills at school its the first time since their relationship began they can be together as a couple, most of the time they have make plans to be together based on lies to their families. Being together and in the open helps them to understand and their relationship to grow by showing them what it would be like to be together as a couple.
