Ravi Belagere was a writer and journalist based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. He was the editor of Kannada language tabloid Hi Bangalore,which he founded along with R. T. Vittalamurthy, Ra. Somanath, Jogi, and I. H. Sangam Dev. He used to run a show called Crime Diary, which used to air on a regional Kannada-language channel ETV Kannada, that focused on crime in Karnataka, and he started Prarthana, a school for children in Bangalore.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ 1956ಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಕೊಲೆಯನ್ನು ಯಥಾವತ್ತಾಗಿ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ರವಿ ಬೆಳಗೆರೆ ಅವರು.

1956 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು 6 ಜನರ ಭಯಂಕರ ಕೊಲೆಯಾಯ್ತು. ಅದಕ್ಕೂ ಮುಂಚೆ ಅದೇ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರೋಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಕೊಲೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆಮೇಲೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಒಂದಷ್ಟು ಕೊಲೆಗಳಾದವು. ಜನರನ್ನ ರೊಚ್ಚಿಗೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದ ಬೇಲೂರು ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ಅಯ್ಯಂಗಾರ್ ಮನೆಯವರ ಕೊಲೆ ಹೇಗಾಯ್ತು? ಎಂತಕ್ಕಾಯ್ತು? ಸೇರುಗಟ್ಲೆ ಚಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಹೋಯ್ತು? ಕೊಲೆ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಎರಡೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಲೆಗಾರ ಹೇಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಹಾಕೊಂಡ ಅಂತೆಲ್ಲ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಬರವಣಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರವಿ ಬೆಳಗೆರೆಯವರು ಬರ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೂತ್ರೆ 2 ಗಂಟೆಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆ, ನಿಂತ್ರೆ ಒಂದುವರೆ ಗಂಟೆಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭರ್ಜರಿಯಾಗಿ ಓದಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೆ ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕ. ಮಜಾ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ರವಿ ಬೆಳಗೆರೆ ಹುಟ್ಟೋಕು ಮುಂಚೆ ಆದ ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನ ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಪಕ್ದಲ್ಲೇ ನಿಂತ್ಕೊಂಡು ನೋಡಿದಂಗೆ ಬರೆದಿರೋದು ಮಾತ್ರ ಬೆಂಕಿ🔥

Murder mystery. And yes it's not a fictional story but a real story of terrible massacre of 13 people in 1956 in Bangalore.
What surprises me is that these murders happened in today's heart of Bangalore- Gandhinagara.
Itseems this came as a series in Hi Bangalore paper, also as a series in crime diary.
Can be read at one go.
Read this before bedtime and the characters kept haunting me in the sleep(just cos this was a real story and they were real characters).

ಒಂದು ಗುಟುಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಓದಿ ಮುಗಿಸಬಹುದಾದ ಪುಸ್ತಕ .
ರಂಗವಿಲಾಸ ಬಂಗಲೆಯು ಬೇಲೂರು ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ಅಯ್ಯಂಗಾರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಬಂಗಲೆ , ಒಂದೇ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 5 ಜನರ ಬರ್ಬರ ಹತ್ಯೆ ಆಗಿ ಹೋಗಿತ್ತು, ಸತ್ತವರು ಯಾರು? ಉಳಿದವರು ಯಾರು? ಕೊಲೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಆಯ್ತು? ಪಾತಕಿಗಳು ಹೇಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬಿದ್ದರು? ಹೀಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸಹ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಲೇಖಕರು ಹತ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ತುಂಬ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟುವಂತೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡುವವರ ಕ್ರೂರ ಮನೋಭಾವ, ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ಆಗುವ ವೇಳೆ ಅವರ ಮನೋಭಾವ , ಆಗಲು ಸಹ ತಪ್ಪಿತಸ್ಥ ಭಾವನೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ರೋಷಾವೇಶ ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಕೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹಲವು ಭಾವನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ವಿವರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ
ಆದರೆ ಮೊದಲೇ ನಾ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡಂತೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೆ ಪದೇ ಪದೇ ಹೇಳಿ ಕುತೂಹಲ ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ , ಹಾಗೇ ಈ ಘಟನೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಯಾರ ಚಿತ್ರ ಪಟವು ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆ ಆಗಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರೋದರಿಂದ ಅದು ಸಹ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಬೇಜಾರು ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡಿತು.
ಆದರು 1956 ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡೀ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಬೆಚ್ಚಿ ಬಿದ್ದ ಬರ್ಬರ ಹತ್ಯೇ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಓದಿದಾಗ ತುಂಬಾ rarest ಅನ್ನಿಸಿಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ ಪತ್ತೇದಾರಿ ಇಷ್ಟ ಇರುವವರು ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಓದಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು..
