Tiago: (A Night of the Kings, Book14) by Shanye Ford. I have the biggest smile on my face right now and it just won’t go away (which I’m okay with). I’m just so happy to get Eve’s story, when I saw the ARC invite, I jumped on it and read it ASAP (entire book last night), I couldn’t put it down. There are so many things I liked about this story- Samantha’s heartfelt advice was emotionally charged and very insightful. The connection you feel between the two main characters keeps you on the edge of your seat and invested in the storyline (hoping it’s the outcome in each scene you want it to be). Book 14 ends on a major cliffhanger but if you have followed Shanye Ford as I have, you know she will make it worth your while as you wait for the next installment. I have read the entire A Night of the Kings series, and each book is wonderfully crafted with dual POVs, seriously hot dark and sensual romance along with a lot of personal drama. I highly recommend this book and series to others looking for hot, sexy, and brooding alpha males. I was graciously given an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Are you as big a fan of Shayne Ford's work as I am? Maybe?!? I'm gushing here and not just with praise!! "Tiago" is everything I've come to expect from her work and yet … it has an element of something else. An instantaneous, combustion and slow build all at once. It's the combination of realist meets romantic. Just as in all her stories, her characters have the type of personality that instantly attracts you and pulls you in, making you a part of the story not just a bystander. That being said, there are side characters and a sense of mystery that automatically make you wonder what will happen and what are they up to. If you've been following "Night of the Kings" then you know some of these characters and we get a glimpse at what their lives are doing now. If you haven't, not to worry, This will stand on it's own. You just won't have the back story. What a great introduction to what no doubt will be an awesome tale.

Flirty Fun & Exciting!
What a TWIST. Two plays on the same four numbers choosing left or right sent my fingers flying through the pages with flirty exciting banter infusing a smirky smile and an upbeat in spirits and on edge throughout this perfect flowing slow building read that explodes into warm goosebumps and a thrilling hot cliffhanger that I desperately want more of. Eve holds a place in my heart I feel her hurt, her want, her loneliness, her hopes in her dreams of the future she sees in others and wants so desperately for herself so koodles to this brilliant author who pulls the emotions from the reader and lulls you into her web of words and making every bit of her stories feel incredibly real and so darn heartfelt. I loved this and thrive to read more.

To enjoy this amazing book to the full, it certainly helps to have read James & Rain Sexton’s story in the Night of the Kings Series. The essence and aura of James comes through in the meeting of these two main characters and it just feels so right! Eve Malone lives alone in NY, a young professional, still looking for her ‘ONE’ !! Her only problem is, that she certainly sucks at dating! Fate is awaiting just for her, but she never believes it! Has she now missed all her chances at Love with her bad choices and self doubt? Can her cold, divorced, successful boss Samantha Jackson heartbreaking advice make her see things differently? Learn how to spot opportunities and live them to the full! Rain makes Eve a referral to a top escort service in Manhattan and this pushes Eve to set up and make her first choice Christian! Wrong guy, wrong room! Who is this beautiful stranger, The Thunder, and a James Sexton look-a-like? What is his story? Is he too young for Eve in her contemplation of traditional love? Will Eve ever catch the perfect love? What are his dark written words he is reluctant to show Eve? Now that Eve has tempted him to look deeper into her, can Eve capture his essence? The hot erotic coming together of these two main characters was mind blowing, so perfect, that I had to reread this perfect moment, to capture the flow of their palpable, hungry lust! A magnificent scene in this amazing highly recommended read.

Excellent !!!
Having already read Shayne Ford's romances, I did not expect the story at all. It is a slow climb since the doubts of Eve (already met as a friend of Rain in the previous books and who was already searching for herself in her sex life) until the temptation to be approached by the "Christian" which one thing is certain for him or for the reader, is not the Christian she was supposed to meet.
The story is very well written, exciting and once started I could not stop reading.
The characters are also excellent: how a woman in all respects, cute, can come to doubt herself to the point of wanting to meet excorts because her affective attempts have always ended badly before really starting? And how can a young man who understands that a young woman comes to him by mistaking him for someone else to sleep with him, can be tempted by the situation? At each page the question is: and now, what will they do?
Not to mention that if we know everything about Eve, Christian's character remains quite mysterious.

I have read James and Rain’s story and met Eve as Rain’s childhood friend. Now Eve Malone has her dream career, dream job and an apartment in New York, but she is lonely. She has tried dating, but her dates, or she, always falls short, so she asks her friend Rain to arrange a date with a prestige escort agency where she meets the mysterious Christian, but he is very evasive and hiding something. I love Eve and are rooting for her to find her true love. Tiago is a great start to Eve’s story, shrouded in mystery and assumptions but, ends in a cliffhanger.

This is a very good start to Tiago and Eve's story. I liked the way both characters met. I liked the writing and description. There is an instant mutual attraction between Tiago and Eve. In this first book we see that they really like each other and they start to get to know each other and I think Eve trusts Tiago at this point. However, I think that as soon as Eve finds out who Tiago is she will feel betrayed and let me tell you; its not going to be pretty. I cannot wait to read the next book to see if I am right!

A tantalizing tease!

This author has a way with her writing that leaves her readers wanting more and this newest release doesn’t disappoint. I loved how the characters meet and what happens next will have you cheering for Eve. It’s a love/hate feeling for me when you are so into the story and then bam it’s the end and you need the next part now, but the author will have your back when she gives us more of what we expect from her, more heat, more mystery and sexiness a plenty. Can’t wait for it!

OMG, you need to read this book. It ends in a cliffhanger but holy cow what chemistry and sexual buildup this story has. I wish I was reading the next installment now. Shayne really knows how to keep the reader totally enthralled with her characters and her storylines. Her men are all soooo alpha! This whole series should be read starting at book 1 thru 14. Highly recommended.

Oh boy! I'm tickled that Eve has finally found what was missing in her life. Someone that makes her feel fulfilled and content but is it based on subterfuge? Christian isn't what he seems to be but I feel he also has his reasons. I can't wait to see what happens with these two as things are brought to light. Shayne Ford is a true mistress at pulling me in and stringing me along in a way that I beg for more.

Firstly I must warn you that this does end on a cliffhanger. Now, I personally don't like cliffhangers as I am an impatient person and want it all at once, however I have read Shayne Ford books before and so I will make an exception. This is James and Eve's story and it is an exciting and thrilling read, I just need the next one now.

Eve malone just couldn't get a man of her own ,this book went into detail about her wants fear and need..tiago came into her life in such a funny way it will have you smiling and boy talk about a mix up hahaha. Their chemistry to big for this book their coming together you just have to read especially the ending ..truly beautiful n deserves all the stars and more .thank you shayne.

An incredible story about Eve and her misfortunate love life. Rain hooks her up with some fun after a mishap at work... very funny but could of cost her dearly. I really enjoyed this book. Eve and Tiago's story got off to a very promising start with lots of emotion, sweetness, humor, drama and slow simmering heat. This book takes place in a much bigger series and does feature cameos from characters from it. However, I feel you could very comfortably pick this up and start reading and not be lost or confused. Eve is a heroine that I think many readers will relate to. She is very genuine. Her fears, dissatisfaction with her love life and the yearning she feels for love are all very relatable. Tiago was charming and swoony but he definately has secrets. This does end on a cliffhanger. So be prepared to wait for the next book. This is my honest, voluntary review.

Classic mixup leads to a hookup

This really should be called "Eve" instead of Tiago. You spend ALL of your time with Eve and Tiago doesnt appear until the last bit of the book. They meet in a classic mixup and things progress from there. Eve is the typical overthinking female who runs her mouth too much, she blabs and blabs. Her POV is fun and I wouldn't mind if these were her stories instead because everything is about her and from her experiences in this book. If you're looking for immediate i fo about James' mysterious hot little brother, there isn't much in this particular novel.

I Waited 13 Books For Eve’s Story

When I began this series what sucked me in was Rain and Eve’s conversations. Reminiscent of Rory Gilmore and Lane I appreciated their 18 year old takes on life. Now Eve is 25. She’s a fully productive woman in society. Yet, the minute she meets a man she’s attracted to, she regresses back to that insecure, jealous, needy teenager. It is disappointing. Also disappointing is how the author doesn’t know that there is a two hour time difference between NY and CO. Sad really.

The wrong room

Talk about fate taking a hand, Eve has booked a night for sex and when she arrives at the hotel told which room to go to, Eve get the room wrong and ends up next door instead, although everything goes really well something is odd, he doesn’t treat her like a client, no table is set for dinner which was supposed to be the start of their evening. Surprise’s are ahead for Eve also for Tiago. Great book

So happy to finally get Eves story and so far it’s perfect. Eve seems to have everything going her and from the outside looking in you would think she has it all together but she’s missing one thing that she desperately wants but has practically given up on, love enter Tiago and the story begins clouded with steam and suspense and can’t wait for more !!

Not Good

Very dissappointed with this installement. Same thing over and over. Took forever to introduce Tiago. The night if kings series before this are worth reading. This not so much. I will read the rest of Tiago stories. I skipped chapters and still didnt feel like i missed anything. *sad face*

Well this was unexpected. I’m glad Eve is enjoying some happiness, but this is undoubtedly going my to blow up into a big mess because of the misunderstanding when they first met. Can’t wait to see how it all unfurls.

I see Shayne Ford is dragging this storyline out. Their are five novels in this Tiago series. I don't think I can hang in their to purchase the next.
