Blame It on the Shame #1-3

Blame It on the Shame: Complete Series

Rate this book
The COMPLETE series in ONE box set. No cliffhangers.
I never wanted anything of his...until her.

Shame. It wounds us. It damages us.
Or, for the few poor souls out there like me...it defines us.
I'm the son of the devil, himself—the most feared mob boss who ever lived.
I was cursed from the moment I took my first breath.
I hate him...and I never wanted to become him.
And I sure as hell never, ever, wanted anything of his.

Until her.

My name is Ricardo DeLuca. There are two things you need to know about me.
The first? Is that I'm in love with the girl who belongs to my father.
The second? Is that it turns out I'm my father's son after all.
Only worse.

My name is Lou-Lou, and you probably think I'm a bitch.
You would be right—because I am.
You think you know all there is to know about me because of the man I belong to.
What you don't know—is my past, because I'll never tell you.
What you don't know is my shame.
Because if you did—you'd be worse off than dead.
You'd be broken.

There are two sides to every story...this is ours.

Warning: Due to strong language, some violence, explicit sexual content, and some dark elements, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Trigger Warning: This series contains elements of emotional, sexual, and physical cruelty. Any readers with sensitivity to the above topics should proceed with caution, and at their own risk.

Please Note: This is a spin-off series of the full-length novel 'Blame It on the Pain' (featuring a different couple.)
Part 1 of this series is considered the prequel to that novel and the events in Part 1 take place before any of the events in 'Blame It on the Pain' do. Part 2 of this series follows the same timeline of Blame It on the Pain and if you have not read that book, you might miss some little 'Easter eggs' and things might not be as clear to you. Part 3- (the final installment) takes place after 'Blame It on the Pain'.
While it is not required that you read Blame It on the Pain before starting this series, it will enhance your experience.

This definitely was such a wild ride. Even though this series was not exactly my most favorite by this author, I definitely had an amazing time with it. The countless conflicts and plot twists the author has put me through were breathtakingly beautiful and very well done. The pacing of the storyline was average. However, I struggled a bit to get through the whole series. But what I know for sure, that those characters are definitely going to stick with me for a long time, especially considering that I really enjoyed the other book which was called blame it on the pain, about side characters from this trilogy.

Honestly, I am just completely blown away by this series. Literally EVERYTHING about it has me obsessing and gobsmacked over how it went about. The writing is amazing, the execution exceptional and the characters are intense. I had a few mixed feelings about this book at the beginning, I literally didn't know how to feel. I was torn between stopping and continuing on just to sate my curiousity. I asked for recommendations on an a-hole alpha and Ashley Jade definitely delivered!

I literally do not know life beyond Ricardo DeLuca and the sexiness that he brings to the table. Everything about him had me falling hard. And though were times where I wanted to slap him upside the head for being an idiot, I love him. It's the kinda love where I want to anger bang the crap outta him yet embrace his gentle caresses. And with Lou-Lou, I loved how strong she was. A survivor & though my heart absolutely crumbled at her and her life, I admired her strength. But I also wanted to shake her sometimes, because she needed to get her head straight and not make stupid decisions and say stupid things that she'd regret.

And while there are events that I think I would have done differently just to avoid the heartache and grief, these characters experienced. I've come to realize that it was all apart of the journey. It was something that needed to happen in order for them to get to the place they needed to be. The minor characters in this story is also something the author be commended on because never have I felt such a deep bond with people who WEREN'T the main characters. And while there times I wanted to kill them, I still loved them. And that's how good the author's writing is, because she made ME feel like I was apart of their family and I loved it.

Big ups to Ashley Jade for single-handedly ruining me for any other mafia/fighting series! I'm in an even bigger book funk then I started out with and I don't mind much because I just want to live in Ricardo's world just a lil bit longer!

I don't think I caught my breath for one second while reading this dark, dirty, twisted mafia series. Ashley Jade truly pulled out all the stops for this incredible series.

The Deluca name is synonymous with evil, pain, suffering, dirty deeds and underhanded deals. Once you are entrapped in the Deluca world the only way is out death. Ricardo's fate was sealed at birth and Lucianna's at the age of 15.

Ricardo was never going to follow in his father's footsteps, he was never going to be like him. He hated him for his evil doings and promised himself he would make something of his life outside the Deluca name. But deals are made and can't be broken. Ricardo's curse and downfall is protecting the ones he loves's. His father always told him not to love anyone or anything because it will ultimately become your demise.

Lucianna, living in her own hell was "saved" by Bruno Deluca. He took her in and made her his own. But with Deluca there is always a price. She believed him when he told her he loved her and that she could have anything she wanted.

Lucianna and Ricardo have a toxic, love hate relationship. Forbidden fruit always tastes sweetest. The angst, pain, love, hurt and undeniable chemistry are the driving force behind this epic tale. Both wounded souls that are drawn to each other like moths to a flame.

This series his fraught with tension, heat, angst and love. Not for the faint of heart, it is dirty, raw and bloody. Edge of your seat, page turning and heart pounding. 5++++ Stars

Probably my favorite from Ashley Jade thus far! Ricardo and Lulu are everything!! This series took so much out of me. I still think about it from time to time and remember all of the gut wrenching moments. I had previously reviewed on Amazon and then was banned so don’t have access to my original, immediately after the first read, unfiltered thoughts! Read this series though, especially if you haven’t read Ashley Jade before. It will have you hooked!

Okay I have severe mixed emotions regarding this book

I really hate reading books that are pretty much rereading the same exact thing but from someone else's POV and that's what this is we get caught up on what was going through not only Ricardo but Lou-Lou's head as well. It was very long very tedious, and I found myself skimming through quite a bit of it. It was like rinse repeat every chapter Ricky and Lou-Lou had a serious love hate relationship up until the ending. Then it was all love love and oh she some how miraculously gets her wish and she ends up pregnant although she was never suppose to be able to have children ever again. So how they managed that i have no idea. Anyways the story was interesting if she would have cut back on some of the dern drama it would have been a lot better because I truly loved the characters well the guys and momma mostly the chicks were just crazy if you're a KU subscriber check it out

WHAT THE FUCK?!?!

I'm not even sure I can form coherent sentences right now - this entire series was explosive... incendiary.....provocative.... beyond the realm of ALL things you'd expect.

If you need a trigger warning, just stop reading this and close your browser window now.

On the other hand, if you want to read the wildest, most insane story that will ever grace your eyeballs... READ THESE BOOKS. They start with "Blame It on the Pain"

Edge of your seat, heart pounding, out of this world twisty, turny, angsy, balls to the wall.... it's a STORY of epic proportions!

Ever since finishing Blame It On The Pain, I've been dying to figure out Ricardo and Lou Lou's story because you can tell from BIOTP they definitely have one, their connection was already felt from the other book.

Ashley Jade has woven an strongly dark and absolutely engaging story about two people who are, in the eyes of everyone around them, not meant to be together but despite these, two people who the Fates have intertwined despite all the odds.

Ricardo DeLuca knows that if you have a weakness, it/they can be used against you, from reading BIOTP, you see that he does develop two and they keep his heart humane, despite his upbringing.

Lou Lou on the other hand never had a loving embrace to fall back on, her life has been tragic since childhood (you'll see what I mean..) and though she meets her "savior", it doesn't stay idyllic for long.

When two broken souls collide, you can expect two things to happen; either they tear each other apart until one becomes the victor or they fill each others holes and fill in the cracks that mar their being. For these two though, it was both.

They were each others salvation as much as they were the others destruction.

To Ricardo, there is nothing, and I mean nothing, he would not do for Lou Lou. It might break him, it might literally erase who he is as a person but if it needed to be done for her, he will make it happen.
Lou Lou goes through so much in the hands of the DeLucas. She is such a strong heroine and it's heartbreaking witnessing her life as she lives it. Nothing of her life was easy, nothing good, and nothing hopeful. From the get go, it was always about making everyone around her happy.

At least, that's how it was until Ricardo.

Except, when money, greed, power, and corruption holds your fate and the fate of your only loved one within their control, how can one overcome this, protect all they care for and still, survive intact?

Can they even survive intact?

This story is heartbreaking, its gory and descriptive in so many ways. It will twist your heart until you bleed out, hang it to dry until it starts cracking and peeling, leaving you to wonder if it can be salvaged.

I LOVED the Blame it on the Shame series. Every page is an adventure, an experience. You will get to feel every emotion under the sun as you experience every event with these people.

It is dark and disturbing but it contains bursts of hope in between the cracks, and that's what'll keep you going.

If you love stories that will make you feel everything, that will keep your emotions high, if you enjoy stories that will keep you enthralled, then this series is most definitely for you.

Sometimes the world needs a good BAD guy.

This is a first for me, let me explain, the book is a definite 5 stars and more but not (just) because of its story. This author with her message at the end has touched my heart in a way that's never been done.

Now to get to this review, this book was intense. I wasn't so sure on it at first, you see it started out a little too slow. I also thought I had it all down to a T. I was wrong.
This author, Ashley Jade, she throws you curve ball after curve ball after curve ball (you get the point) you think you have it all figured out and BANG! she smacks you with something totally unexpected.
I loved this book, it was twisted and effed up but it was impossible to put down. I'm sad to see it end (I'm *bleeping* crying because it's over) but, I'm so very happy with its ending.
I'm especially happy that this was the box set and I was able to read all 3 parts in "one" sitting. Some things happen that leave you saying what the *bleep*? Other things leave you cheering for people that in real life you'd most likely piss your pants if you met them (no matter how attractive they are). And then sometimes you really pray for the bad guy to win. This book was a complete mind *bleep* and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I don't know about anyone else but I floved. This story isn't for everyone but if you do come across it give a chance I'm *bleeping* happy I did.

First off I will is say this series is smokin hot with some Mafia goodness which is a bonus but not the reason I'm giving it 5 stars. Here's why I am. Reading this series it gives a sense of hope, strength and love even in the face of unimaginable defeat.
Lou-Lou over the series develops as a character tremendously. She has an attitude and did come off as standoffish. Being repeatedly taken down again both physical and mentally she has learned to roll with the punches and build a wall. While falsely being told what is good for her and what love is. When Ricardo Deluca enters her life he along with his friends start to give her the strength and tools to break through those barriers and overcome those obstacles. There are some heavy subjects in this series. At times you think how much more are they going to suffer. That's the thing though sometimes you have to get dirty, bleed, get bruises to climb out of the hole someone put you in. It's this gritty realness and progression no matter how bad is what I love. This series will break you down, heal you and makes you feel stronger after.

Holy fucking shit!!! This series has given me such an emotional hangover. I was recommended this series and I am so glad. I loved every heart wrenching, horrible, wonderful moment. If you are looking to go on a journey that makes you become so invested you feel like you are there living it with them this book is for you. The author will blow you away. I highly recommend this book.

Love the author but the book dragged on for me

While the first part of the book had me hooked and I LOVE the characters..The constant repetitive internal dialogue made it hard for me to keep my interest. I pushed through because I wanted to know what happened but I had to start skimming 40% of the way through. Warning, this book is VERY dark. Ashley Jade did a great job creating the darkness and bringing the traumatic aftermath to life with the characters. So much respect for that. She doesn't hold back so those of you who may feel triggered.. proceed with caution

It was good initially but moved too slow for my taste. Also, the heroine was annoying with her sass. Perhaps endearing initially, this "show" of strength, but this bravado later became an annoying distraction.

Book 1-This book had it all and I loved it!! It had nail biting, steal your breath action that had me nervous and my heart beating a mile a minute!! It also had romance and scorching hot sex!! Lou Lou drove me crazy, but as I got further and further into the book I started to understand why she was the way she was. And Ricardo was a dream come true and really hot and sexy!! I loved the way he stood up to his father, but he also knew how to manipulate him too. This ties right in with Blame It On the Pain and I REALLY look forward to more books in this series!! I definitely recommend this book and I know if you read Blame It On The Pain and loved it as much as I did, you will love this book too!!
Book 2-What can I say to convince you to buy this book when it is going to rip your heart out, make you cry (at one point I was sobbing) and make you want to slap the author for putting you through all that!!! I have to admit, this is this kind of book I love/hate because it pulls me so far into the story I start to get emotionally involved with the characters!! I have a major book hangover but I wish part 3 was out NOW!!! If I could give this book more than 5 stars I most certainly would!! I have no doubt in my mind if you have read the previous Blame It On The Shame and loved it, you will love this book more!!! I've only done "the ugly cry" with very few other books and I read a lot, because this book touched my soul and shook me to my core I won't forget about it for a very long time!!! I'm purposely not telling you anything about this book because I refuse to give ANYTHING away, it's that special that you need to experience every word for yourself, believe me, it's better that way. So buy this book and go through the emotional rollercoaster for yourself, then you can be where I am now, counting the days until part 3 will be out. The author is not kidding about the triggers and how dark this book gets!!!
Book 3-If I could give this book 10 stars I would!! To say this book blew me away is putting it mildly!!! I wish I was gifted like the author so I could write an eloquent review that would convey the way I feel about this book, but I'm going to try like hell to convince you what an incredibly AWESOME book this is!!! By 4% in I was crying (and I don't mean just tears in my eyes!!) and things just went crazy from there!! I started to lose faith in Ricardo and the darkness that had taken hold of his very soul. He has always been my BB throughout the Shame series, but I was really starting to question that, and that made me sad. I can't even begin to tell you how many emotions I went through reading this book, but the most prevalent emotions were sadness, despair, passion, shock, horror, happiness, and sheer devastation!!! This book consumed my thoughts, even when I wasn't reading it!! The way Ricardo loved Lou-Lou was like nothing I've ever seen before. One of my favorite lines is Ricardo thinking of her and saying,"No, I miss her like one would miss having a vital organ...in a basic, raw, and necessary for survival kind of way." Wow!!! My heart broke so many times for both of them and I fear my neighbors thought someone was torturing me with all the crying, no sobbing, I was doing. Only to have some hope as I anxiously continued to read. When I was happy I had an underlying fear about what was going to happen next, and believe me that fear was not unfounded!! The sex is off the charts hot, but who would expect anything less with Ricardo and Lou-Lou?!! This is definitely Ashley's best book and I have loved them all!!! I hated getting to the end of this book because I knew this was the end of the series but I also have faith that Ashley will write more fantastic books that I will love!! Maybe a little less, because there will NEVER be another Ricardo and Lou-Lou and I feel a sort of kinship with Lou-Lou for reasons I won't go into in this review. I've never seen the spot-on feelings a person goes through as a survivor and it made me love Lou-Lou even more!! If you are ready to go down the rabbit hole and feel things you never thought you could while reading a book, then I can't recommend this book enough!! Don't worry, you will be able to climb back out and wonder how one person can have the talent that this author has!! I could probably gush until my space runs out how absolutely amazing this book is but I think you should get to buying and enjoying this wild ride!! I know I did!!!

First, the thing I want to say is that I LOVE these books. I have read them multiple times and each time that I do they get better and better. There is so much emotion, devotion, and love that is in these books that it sometimes takes your breath away. I have to walk away from them sometimes just to let my mind process what has just happened and to get over all the emotions before returning to it because all you want to do is find the person in the book and harm them, or hold them, or cry with them. Now that is an author worth reading!! Now onto the reviews!

Book 1 Blame it on the Shame
Wow, I mean what the freaking wow...
Okay so I read 'Blame it on the pain' and that book blew me away. I totally loved Ricardo and tolerated Lou-Lou in that book. Of course, we know that more is going on with these two then meets the eye, but nothing is said.
So in comes 'Shame' and we are back to holy crap!! This book has just hit every nerve I have. The good, bad, happy, sad, and ugly. I feel everything Lou-Lou feels, even if I personally have never been through it.
Ricardo is in so much pain and suffering when it comes to his life and family I am surprised that he can find any happiness at all.
But these two well it's two early to see where it's going, to be honest. But I am so ready for this ride.. and what a ride it is going to be...

Book 2 Blame it on the Shame- Part 2
Okay, so where to start. God, this book hit so many emotions for me that it has taken me two days to get off the high it created and get my thoughts together for this review.
So, this book is just one of the very best I have ever had the opportunity to read. I thought 'Shame 1' was an emotional rollercoaster, HA. Nothing prepared me for this book. I have read some emotional books, and I can't really tell you what it is about these characters but it is like you are living their lives. You are in their bodies, living their lives, feeling everything they are feeling. It is hard to feel for characters like that, but Ashley is able to put you in her books
Lou-Lou is such a strong and broken women all at one time. God what she goes through is beyond anything I could ever imagine. And yet she still fights to get the freedom she craves so much.
Ricardo is fighting for everyone to be free from his father's horrible wrath. He is so worried about everyone but himself, that it burns inside him until he unleashes it in the most unpredicted way. I never saw it coming!

So the bottom line is- this is a MUST READ! You don't have to read 'Pain' to know what is going on. But they do run parallel to each other. So when you see Jackson and Alyssa in 'Shame 1 & 2' and you want to know their story that's why.

Book 3 Blame it on the Shame- Part 3
"No, I miss her like one would miss having a vital organ.. in a basic, raw, and necessary for survival kind of way."

This is just one quote that just makes you pause and take note of how much Ricky and Lou Lou feel for each other. There is so much emotion in this book that it takes your breath away sometimes. I had to put the book down and whip away tears I had no idea were falling. And other times I had to look away with the sheer fear of what was to come next.
This story is one for the ages. This is a story that will be read and reread again and again.
There are not enough stars to give this book and I am so happy to have been able to read this book as an advance reader copy for my honest opinion.
Thank you, Ashley, for this story.

One of the Wildest Emotional Rollercoaster Ride

This series is an emotional mindtrip. The journey of Ricardo and Lou-Lou (Lucianna) will leave you grabbing tissues, wanting to punch some thing, and a small part of your heart will be broken as you follow them along this amazing journey called love. It’s clear that their lives are not their own to live but in order to survive they must do what is necessary and even though that means risking their own lives in the process they will do that because their love for each other and their friends is stronger than anything Bruno DeLuca can throw at them.

Ricardo is DeLuca’s son but there is no love for between them and Bruno knows that his son will never fall in place to claim his spot as the head of the DeLuca mob family so he keeps him on a short leash by giving him his fight club to manage as well as coaching his 2 best fighters Tyrone & Jackson. However, Ricardo claims Tyrone & Jackson as his brothers and family so he will do everything in his power to keep his father from hurting those he loves. Ricardo never expected his world to implode when Lou-Lou walked into his life. He also never knew what betrayal felt like when he realizes that she was sent their to seduce his fighters and to be a spy for DeLuca.

Lou-Lou has been with Bruno since she was 15 when he rescued her from her sexual abusive father. He was her knight in shining armor at the time because she had no one and he took her in and made her feel loved. Their love was toxic from the start but Lou-Lou is so broken that choosing to be with a mob boss is better than staying and being assaulted and abused by her father. She believes she owes everything to Bruno and does anything he asks even when he becomes her new abusers all in the name of love. She yearns for freedom so when she is given her new assignment to live in the apartment building and get to know the fighters and Ricardo she is so happy for the freedom that she jumps at the opportunity. What she never expected to happen was to meet Bruno’s son and find out how much he grounds her and gives her what she has so desperately needed all these years. He gives her hope, love, tenderness, and doesn’t allow her live in the darkness.

Ricardo knew Lou-Lou was off limits because she is his fathers but the pull towards her is one he can’t stay away from. She makes him feel like no one every has and he will do anything to keep their love. She is the air he didn’t know he needed and she gives him hope that there is more to this life than he is currently leading.

These 3 books will take you on the wildest ride of your life. There is so much heartache and devastation for all those involved. You will need a lot of tissues and stress balls to get through their epic journey but it is worth every pain staking moment to witness their love come full circle. These books will suck you and won’t let you go. Happy Reading!!

Solid 5 stars very good read

This series is really mind blowing and not for faint- hearted. I thought I've read the best series so far and not long ago (Caged trilogy by S. Savage) but this is at the same level. The reader needs to read the Blame it on the pain to fully appreciate the story and its characters. All the characters are connected and becomes evident as the stories unfolds. This series is a not nice, sweet and happy, love story. Quite the opposite very dark, raw, brutal, almost inhumane. It shows all the ugly, twisted, horrible side of human nature without much hope and close to reality. The first two books catch you unprepared and drag you down into black and scary place you can't even imagine showing the depths of human cruelty in Bruno Deluca behaviour. He inflicted pain and misery on all the main and supportive characters of this series. Ricardo and Lou Lou barely survived. The third book is difficult to read as suddenly we see what has become of Ricardo after having endured what the monster father Bruno inflicted on him. And the sight of new Ricardo is far from nice and in fact totally heart breaking. Both main characters Ricardo and Lou Lou are psychologically damaged personalities that scream for help and that's why hang on to each other. Lou Lou has been through hell and back and that may explain her personality but still she is not the nicest of the people to be with. I won't go into details as that takes away the pleasure of reading and experiencing the raw emotions, I would just say if you are ready for a crushing emotional tidal wave that will swallow you then that book is for you.

I liked the fact that the author connected all the characters, the basic and main events are described in the Blame it on the pain. This series looks at the same events from others people point of view as they were developing at the time of the first book, which is so refreshing and enlightening I really liked it. The plot pace is very good, there is strong connections between the main characters and the supporting characters that play meaningful role in the events development. The storyline itself is excellent and gives the opportunity to describe and rise awareness on delicate and sensitive matters and ethical issues. That was my first series by this author which I thoroughly enjoyed despite the story being so dark, raw, and brutally honest, not praising human nature but rather showing what it is capable of good but mainly bad.

Overall if you like dark stories romantic or not that please read and enjoy!

Words cannot describe how much I loved this book. As a disclaimer.. Yes, it is a dark romance. Yes, there are some things in this book that are not for everyone. With that being said, I. LOVED. THIS. SERIES. SO. MUCH. Im beyond devastated its over. I want more! I want to know what the future holds for them!
Lou-Lou - God, how I love her. She has to be one of the strongest, most amazing female characters I've read. (And I've read a LOT of books!) Your heart breaks for her. It sings for her. I feel so many emotions for this woman. She's my new favorite female characters..ever. EVER. That's how I feel about this "piccolo superstite".
Ricardo - He's now my dark prince. Every woman deserves to have a man love her the way Ricardo loves Lou-Lou. Mob boss or not - the way he loves Lou-Lou so endlessly, so selflessly, so perfectly.. He gives ME butterflies. Sure, there were times when he wasnt so perfect. When his hurt had him lashing out. And those times, I felt just as gutted as Lou-Lou. His obsession with her, tho? Wow. And his love and devotion for those he truly cares about and loves? OMG. Really. We all need our own Ricky in our lives.
The twists and turns this series had me gasping, screaming, and shouting. Ashley Jade has given us such a well thought out story.. Perfectly written. I wouldn't change ANYTHING. Except maybe .. MORE. Please? Im not ready for it to be over. :(
How much these two love each other goes so deep. Deeper than I've ever thought two fictional characters could have. What they sacrifice? What they do to protect one another? I could only hope to one day feel an ounce of that in real life. That's how much this series brings the feels out in me.
And let me say this: This series really does show you what being a SURVIVOR is. Because both Lou-Lou and Ricardo are survivors. I dont know how ANYONE could think otherwise. I've personally been through some rough things in my own life..And this book reminded me just how strong and brave that *I* was. That *I* persevered and overcame. It showed me how *I* survived my own demons. And for that alone, Ashley Jade has my upmost respect, love and loyalty.
Read this series. I swear, you will NOT be disappointed. I couldnt put it down. I was actually mad at real life for interrupting my Blame It On The Shame time. I'll be reading this series (and author) over. And over. And over.

Book 1 Wow what a fantastic story
It had me gripped from the start I couldn’t put it down.
This was an amazing story.
I really Like Ricardo he might be the mob boss son but he is nothing like his father,
Lou Lou, I really like her character she is feisty and she don’t back down to anyone not if she doesn’t have too anyway.even after everything she has been through
I didn’t like Bruno DeLuca,
Ricardo’s Father Bruno he helps Lou Lou get away from her Abusive Father, when she is 15..But is her life any better with him… You have to read to find out
This is a dark, intense and emotional Roller coaster of a ride..
This is only the second Book I have read by this Author I can’t wait for more.

Book 2 After the end of book one I couldn’t wait to get my hands-on part 2
The book draws you in and you can’t stop till the last page,
This book has it all it is such a roller coaster of a ride. It brought out so many emotions in me.
From the start, it is action packed it is fast paced.

I really feel for Ricardo and Lou Lou all they want is to be happy together but that is just impossible with Ricardo’s father still breathing.

This book is dark twisted and it is very emotional in places my heart goes out to them.

Then you have the Evil one as I call him Bruno he is just pure evil in this book, he does something that is unforgivable in my eyes. I really enjoyed the way Ricardo stood up to him.

Is it too late for Ricardo and Lou Lou?

And wow the Twists in this book I really didn’t see coming.
I love the secondary Characters so much in this book you can connect to them well.
I can’t wait for the next in this series.

Book 3 This is the conclusion to this amazing series about Ricardo & Lou-Lou…

It starts where book 2 left us. Lou Lou has gone and Ricardo is now looking for her can he find her before danger strikes. Well you will have to read to find out.

Ricardo will do anything to keep Lou Lou safe even if that means he can’t be with her?

Lou Lou is just trying hard to get on with her life without Ric but she misses him. As much as she tries to get over him her heart will not let her.

I Loved all the Characters in this book well apart from a certain pair, who I hated.
Some really good twists in this book, I really didn’t see coming.

Loved the Banter with them all. I laughed out loud at some parts…

I really enjoyed the ending to this series and my questions where all answered.

This series has been fantastic! And I can’t wait to see what Ashley brings us next.

Part 1

I absolutely love Blame it on the Shame. This book literally draws you in instantly. Ashley Jade is an amazing writer. I couldn't stop reading this book. This book is heartbreaking, gut wrenching, dark, action, tensions, anxiety and suspense.
What an emotional ride for Ricardo and Lou Lou, will there love be enough for them both to get through the abuse and neglect they have experienced.

Part 2

"I'm not broken...but before you; I was never whole, either," she clarifies. "You're the missing piece that made me whole. And now, you're the piece that keeps me from breaking."

Blame it on the shame part 2 is the story of Ricardo and Lou Lou. I don't know where to start or what to write because no matter how many times I think about it or how to write as there are no words that will justify how extraordinary this book is. Ashley will put you on the roller coaster full emotions and literally pulls at your heart and soul along the ride right up until the end of the book. This book is dark, compelling, twisted, brutal, tense, betrayal, deception, heartbreaking, passion, love and loyalty.
The connection between Lou Lou and Ricardo is indestructible and the chemistry is so freaking sizzling hot that it's way of the charts that will just melt your pants off.
I cried my heart out for Lou Lou and my heart shattered into pieces.
Ashley is a tremendous writer that draws her readers into her books and makes you feel connected to the characters.

Part 3

Wow wow wow
I had no idea what to expect when reading this book. I was literally scared to start reading the book because I didn't know how the story was going to go. I absolutely loved reading Shame Part 1 and 2 but 3 was absolutely epic and perfectly well written.
Ashley just didn't tell a story but put me through a journey of a lifetime. This book had me on roller coaster of emotions. I was angry, on edge of my seat, tension and anxiety going crazy, I laughed, cried and cried so more. The story of Ricardo and Lou Lou is heart breaking, gut wrenching and I just wanted scream at the author for tearing me up inside. This series is an unforgettable one and it will stay with me forever. If you haven't read this series then don't wait any longer because you won't regret it.
If you haven't started reading this series, then don't wait because you won't be disappointed.

Tragedy, pain, betrayal, and then love! Part 1 of Blame It on the Shame introduces us to Ricardo and Lou-Lou. We get to know Ricardo and Lou-Lou here, and they tear it up from the word go. Lou-Lou belongs to Ricardo's dad. She has a damaged past, and is doing whatever it takes to make it from one day to the next in order to survive. Ricardo is trying not to be like his father. They're completely off limits to each other, but that doesn't seem to keep their feelings for each other in check. Bruno DeLuca is a sick, twisted mobster, and as evil as they come. You won’t be able to put this book down! When he sees Lou-Lou, he makes a choice that sets their path twisting and turning and colliding! So freaking amazing. Ricardo is smart, sexy and so perfect for Lou-Lou. Her past is just as troubled as Ricardo's, but she's willing to risk it all to be with him. This is such an emotionally and erotically charged story.

Book 2 continues on as Ricardo and Lou-Lou fight to keep their love hidden from Deluca and stay alive. Deluca is a crazy, delusional nutcase. I loved how Lou-Lou grew stronger as a person and started using her head more. Ricardo is just awesome. Their chemistry went through the roof, and their lives took a nasty turn here, but they keep on battling.

The thrilling conclusion in Part 3 is amazing, bar none! The emotional ride has just churned up a notch. Book 3 is, as expected, yet another gut-wrenching, exciting, and heartfelt experience. I love how Ashley Jade gave Ricardo and Lou-Lou this ending to their story. This book was filled with suspense, hard 90-degree turns and twists, and plenty of ups and downs. The past confronts the present, and everything is shoved to the precipice of a cliff as we hold on for dear life. Neither Ricardo nor Lou-Lou are perfect, but it's their flaws that draw us to them, almost as much as their love and anguish. Book 3 is just as explosive as the first two, and no one comes out unscathed or unaffected somehow. Beautiful pain and torment as we watch these two find their way back to each other once again! Absolutely loved it! Thanks for taking us on this amazing journey with you! Can't wait to read more from the lovely and talented Ms. Jade! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book series and loved it!

Blame it on Shame Part 1

Bruno DeLuca, a ruthless Italian mob boss, is worse than Satan himself.
LouLou, only 15 years old, hated her father.  He would beat her mother senseless then tried to have his way with her. When she tried to escape, she fell into the hands of Bruno.
Ricardo DeLuca fights desperately to win his freedom from his father and protect the ones he cares about. He is the complete opposite from Bruno.
This book will keep you intrigued with its twists and turns that sends you on emotional rollercoaster ride.  Even though violence and sex are implied, the emotional plot brings the strong characters closer and exposes their emotional scars due to Bruno's sick and twisted games.
I would definitely recommend this series!!! A fabulous book by an amazing author.

Blame it on Shame Part 2

Blame it on Shame Part 2 literally ripped my heart out. This series is mindblowing. The author's amazing writings and characters keep you so captivated with deceit, drama, and mystery. Families are torn apart. True love is tested and doubt is placed. Heartache is almost unbearable.
I would definitely recommend this series Blame it on the Same!!!! A brilliant masterpiece!!!

Blame it on Shame Part 3

This series Blame it on the Shame is a beautiful, dark love story that sends you on an emotional journey full of drama, suspense and danger. The evil that lurks around every corner trying to keep two damage and broken souls apart.
Ricardo is slowly turning into his ruthless, murderous father, Bruno, to the point of attacking the only family he has.
LouLou is in hiding trying to move on with her life, but evil reappears, making its  presence and putting her life in danger once again.
I'm so proud of Ashley Jade and this series. It is a magnificent masterpiece and definitely a MUST READ!!! She has become one of my favorite authors!!

Umm..I have some questions

Beware of spoilers

Unlike the weird Q&A after the epilogue, I have real questions. They will be out of order because I read the entire series at once.

Why didn't Bruno kill Travine like he claimed so many times? He wasn't forbidden by the council to do so.

Why didn't anyone tell the council the manner in which Thumper was killed? According to their traditions, wouldn't Thumper have been every bit as important as any other DeLuca and fallen under their protection?

Why was the council okay with what Travine was? How could they align themselves with him? Power and influence is one thing but they were so pro-family, I guess it's a bit unbelievable that they'd give him Lou-Lou back.

Speaking of Lou-Lou, why was her nickname spelled like that? Why not make it cute? Like Lulu or LuLu. Lou-Lou is so masculine and looks ugly in print.

When Bruno brutalized Lou-Lou in the basement after he killed Thumper, how did she heal as fast as she did? Yeah I know the witch had something to do with it. But it was completely glossed over. Also this is not a paranormal series so involving witchcraft at all had me rolling my eyes hard.

Why did they all have to keep lying to each other? Everyone would have gotten along so much better if they'd actually told each other the truth. No we wouldn't have gotten three awesome books out of them being open with each other. But there were so many times I'd be yelling JUST TELL HER/HIM!! Would've saved everyone so much pain.

What ever happened to Lou-Lou's mother?

I know I've forgotten some points I wanted to make but I think I got my main ones across. Believe it or not I could take a few more books in this series. I want Travine's sins aired. Everyone should know what kind of scum he was.

My… what a book! It was gripping, sexy, emotional and often upsetting (you’ve been warned) but I couldn’t put it down.

I would strongly recommend that you read Blame it on the Pain first as I’m not sure I would have understood a lot of the story if I hadn’t.

I admired LouLou’s story arc and her strength to survive everything she went through especially that she could still love after it all.

I was disappointed how Ricardo’s story arc went (disappointed for the character not with the writing). I had hoped things would have turned out differently for him.

Both Blame it on the Pain and the Blame it on the Shame books make you question what we all know to be right or wrong. It tells us that there are sometimes grey areas where things are not always black or white - definitely food for thought.

There were some type setting issues with this combined version that didn’t appear to be in the separate book editions. It was sometimes tricky to work out when it changed from LouLou to Ricardo as there were no chapter headings. There were sometimes little dandelions and boxing gloves to denote who was narrating the part but these didn’t always appear when it switched from one to the other.

This book set is phenomenal. Ashley Jade know how to draw you in and twist everything around. She writes these darkromance about the characters to let you see how they are and then you start to read and get emotionally attached to them, and then boom she writes another nail biting moment.
I love books like this. I love the realism of how the characters are and how they go through real situation and come out stronger for what they go through.

Blame it on the shame is about Ricardo and Lou Lou. How they meet, how they conquer their problems and how they survive for the life they want.
Part 1, Ricardo wants to live his life but his father and the DeLuca mob family won't let him. He wants nothing to do with them but his father doesn't care and send Lou Lou to gather information. When Ricardo finds out he's mad and try to find a way to save his friends and her.
Part 2, Ricardo is upset at Lou Lou. All he see is betrayal and don’t care about the why's. Lou Lou is in distraught mode, she can't believe what's happened to her and that she has to live with it. When Ricardo finds out the truth they come together with a plan to get revenge.
Part 3, There's a new boss in charge and is name is Ricardo DeLuca. He more ruthless than the last and more dark. He let's the anger of Lou Lou not being around fuel him to be the dark mobster he is. When he find out the the DeLuca mob family is associated with someone from her past and is after her he goes to save her. They have to deal with their past to have a future.

Favorite Quotes:
Ricardo ~ "If I have to Uber in the entire world to the ground in order to watch arise in the ass just like the Phoenix I know she is...I will."
Lou-Lou ~ "I despise him and I want him. I hate him and I love you. I love you more than anything in the whole world. Where he leads I will always follow, even if it's straight into the depths of hell."

Definitely read this series

At first I wasn’t sure I was going to like this series. In the first book Lou-Lou is kind of annoying, and her relationship with the elder DeLuca is disturbing at best. This book does have some rape scenes, which are hard to read. Ricardo at first was kind of weak. He was placating his father in a way, and didn’t want to kill him because he didn’t want to be like him, even though his father deserved it and his death would have been for the greater good. I almost stopped reading the first book, but the relationship between Lou-Lou and Ricardo was hot, and they had so much chemistry I had to keep going. As the story went on, both Lou-Lou and Ricardo grew and accepted their “broken parts”. I came to identify and care about Lou-Lou, even cried for her in the second book. By the third book I loved Ricardo, and he became the dark hero Lou-Lou needed. I definitely recommend reading this series, you’ll laugh, cry, and want to murder some of the characters, but in the end you’ll be so glad you did.
