The reason I struggle with this book is because it talks a lot about what to do if you decide to renovate your short-term rental, but if you’re at that point you likely don’t need a book to tell you what to do. Basically the people this book is geared towards have no need for this book. I was looking for insight specifically on guest experience related to furnishing a rental. I did find some good information on this, but it was only about 25% of what I thought the book would be. Unless you are specifically creating a LUXURY rental, this book is not super applicable.
This might be a great book if I were going to pay an architect or designer to redesign my house But it’s much more involved renovation-heavy than I am interested in
Not for me. I thought it was more budget style tips, but it was full remodels. It did mention using eco-friendly items and buying second-hand, otherwise it was too much privilege and pretension.
