Elizabeth Kelly is a romance novelist who spends her days writing and pushing her cat Murray off the keyboard. She firmly believes that a person can survive solely on sushi and coffee, and only her husband's mad cooking skills prevents her from proving that theory.
She also writes contemporary and paranormal romance under her alter-ego "Ramona Gray".
It's a kind of story that maybe a girl in her early teens might find enjoyable, not an old sweat like myself lol. Kira, the heroine, was so mind-numbingly dumb, immature and annoying, I barely finished this mess. The hero didn't help things either, he was acting like an ass for no reason way too often, having his tantrums like a spoilt kid in a toy shop. Unfortunately, I did buy all 3 books in the series so now off to book 2. But I am not happy here.
• A fake relationship • A dentist! • a hot sex scene in the bath • a doormat who woke up... at the end.
First : They have chemistry, the story is interesting, faking a relationship to make jealous - another man (who is a dick btw)- and stop his noisy family. Okay, all good there. You can meet lot of characters around kira, and they are nice... a little intense (very protective type) but nice.
• Where it start to go down:
Connor has lot of potential until his wounded personality comes to play, such a turn off, I understand he was hurt in the past but he snap and he apologize all the time. Calm your tits.
About Kira, she's a dooormat, and I hate it. She doesn't know what she wants until the end UNTIL 70% in the book where she starts to wake up, yay (geesh girl, you are to innocent to some characters in the book) I can't keep giving and giving and not receiving anything in return, this isn't as friendship works... well said girl ♥
• Overall: I couldn't put the book down, I read the book until the end and isn't I dislike it... is they had lot of personal troubles and they need individual therapy hahah I finished because Kira really did a round about her feelings and stood for her... I will keep reading more books of this author.
Plus: there is no epilogueeeeeeeeeeeee... and the book ask for an epilogue.
[did not finish] read only 2 chapters and i don't feel like continuing anymore. firstly, it's my fault because for a moment i forgot i dislike the "fake" anything plot. secondly, the heroine is the delusional kind of character who had a crush on a guy who friend-zoned her, and thinks he is like some kind of god she wanna worship and save her virginity for him. pfff~

I love Elizabeth’s romances, so I was excited to see a new series set in a small town. Kira and Connor had so much chemistry from their first kiss, and Elizabeth knows how to write a hot kissing scene. Kira feels guilty as she starts having feelings for Connor as she’s been in love with another man for years. Connor was hurt in a past relationship, too, but Kira breaks open his heart and I loved watching them fight the love they were feeling. One of my other favorite parts was how Kira’s friends helped her see that her love was true for Connor and that she should take a chance on moving their fake relationship to the real thing. Kira and Connor were combustible together, but there were plenty of sweet and funny moments, even a few alpha jealousy scenes that had me cheering for Connor. I love all the different character interactions and trying to figure out who the next couples will be. It makes me want their books ASAP.
“You are the best thing that’s ever happened to me, Kira Walker. I love you.” “I love you too, Connor MacMillan.”
I’ve no idea why I haven’t started this series sooner! girl this book contains just the right amount of steaminess & cuteness. Loved how Kira-bear loves & understands our Conner baby. He deserves the whole world and more! It’s really shitty of his parents to not understand or support their kid in need! And oh lord I loved the banter between the girls. Can’t wait to read their books! And ohhhh giant Gideon & Preacher definitely can’t wait to read about these hot men!!
“Is blowie even a sex term for fellatio?” Addison said. Grace shrugged. “I dunno but it’s better than saying - hey, Connor, will you give me a lesson on fellatio? I would like to learn how to fellate like a fornicating fool.” Kira burst into laughter and even Addie giggled. “You’re nuts, Gracie.” “Yep,” Gracie said solemnly.

Sweet Harmony is the first installment to a new series from Elizabeth Kelly. The series is set in a small town named Harmony Falls. This first book is about Kira and Connor. Kira is a real estate agent who is saving herself for a firefighter(Daniel) who does not return her interest. Connor is a dentist with an ex fiance and a past that still seems to have a hold on his life. Kira is set up with Connor to try and make Daniel jealous and so that Connor has a date to take to a wedding where his ex fiance will be attending. They start off as a fake relationship but throughout their fake dates and their "getting to know each other" sessions they figure out that there might be more than fake feelings. I loved the story and supporting characters. I'm excited about the teaser and can't wait to read the next book.
I love Elizabeth Kelly's books. They balance the sweet with the sexy and create tension in stories even though the reader can be assure that the couple will have a HEA. "Sweet Harmony" reminded me of "Rosalie's Mate" from Kelly's shifter series in that the heroine is in love with a shitty dude who doesn't deserve her. Sadly...that is all too common in real life. It was great to see Kira realize that she wanted to be with a man who appreciated her, loved her, and wanted to bang her brains out. (Did I mention this book was sexy?) I also love that EK writes books with non-billionaire heroes. There is nothing wrong a rich dude, but money ain't everything. Especially when the hero is smart, gorgeous, and great in bed. Can't wait to read the next story!
If you never read an Elizabeth Kelly book you have no idea what you are missing. Not only are her stories amazing but she is the most sweetest person you will ever know and I think that's what I love so much about her books is that each of stories reflect a little bit of her as a person. You always get something new and exciting you never feel like you read the same book twice with her. Sweet Harmony is book one in the series and it was such a good sweet story about trying to make someone else jealous but ending up falling in love with someone else instead and its just a great read. I can't wait for the next one.
I tried. Because I'm sooo into pretend dating /marriage these days but the cringe-ness is unbearable.
Its too fast. I mean its fair, it was my expectation to blame but I didnt consider it to happen in the first meeting. Just slam those lips and "Oh, I cant forget it, I need more". Umm, what?
Both of them just lack human characters/behaviours and I feel like hints of books about her friends are being introduced too early and brief. I dont feel curious, but more towards annoyed. Just a few lines to peak my interest? Nope. Not working.
The overprotective brother is okay, the actual crush behaviour is too faint I dont even know him.
Want a series that will pull you in? Well then this is the book for you!
Elizabeth Kelly has made characters draw you in right away with this book! It’s nice to see it’s not just the girl who is a little unsure of events that happen in this book! What starts out as a terrible idea turns out to be the best decision they could have made! Like all great books you will love some characters and some that you will not like at all! A series that will have you wanting more! I can’t wait for the next book because now I want to see what happens with the other characters!
It started out cute and funny. But, as I went further with the book, I felt a bit annoyed.
Kira at the age of 25, was just stupid. Her character although sweet, just had a teenage mind and it was to the point where you just say, "GROW THE 'F' UP!" Conner, although sounded very sexy, he had issues and his lack of communication also made him like an ass. Anyways, it had potential in the beginning, but somewhere along the line, the story lost it's appeal.
Perhaps if I was some teenager, I might have liked it better. But, I don't think this book has much appeal for a mature reader.
This is a book that successfully straddles the line between first passions and first loves. Prepare to be transported back in time to rejoice in a young woman’s sexual awakening as she comes to terms with a life that isn’t quite as she expected. If this book doesn’t turn you on to dentists then nothing ever will!
A heart warming, thigh trembling first book in the series that bodes very well for future stories.
Elizabeth Kelly has, once again, delivered the goods.
What is it about Elizabeth Kelly's book that draw you in and make you forgot about all the other things you should be doing like (Cooking, cleaning, taking care of the kids, etc) she has a way of writing stories that not only make you fall in love with her as an author but also with each and everyone of her characters! This book is such a sweet love story that grabs you from the start. I can't wait for the next book in this series I know its going to be great.
Sweet Harmony is a great start of a new series by Elizabeth Kelly. READ IT NOW! You do not want to miss this book! Kira and Connor are scorching as their "fake" relationship evolves into a real one. This was a great example of how sometimes not getting what you want is for the best. I'm really looking forward to more in this series. That teaser for the next book with Gideon and Grace - WOW! If you are looking for a great read, this is it!
2.5 rounded down FMC is in love with her best friend's older brother, so obviously to get his attention and make him jealous she must fake date another guy. This premise is very hard to do well and I don't think this book hit the mark on it. It wasn't a bad book, I just wasn't the biggest fan. The emotional maturity of the FMC was so low and it didn't help that she was a virgin. I really don't like virgins in romance books.
Kira is innocent and naive but that doesn’t mean she is weak. She totally earned my respect by owning her journey and asking Connor for what she wants. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely loved Connor!! Connor is delicious and the whole package. I thoroughly enjoyed the hot slow burn of their passion as they fell in love. The set up for Grace and Gideon has me eagerly starting the next book in the series.
Second book I've read from this author, and the vibes are the same: it's a bit immature. Some of the things that happen are over dramatized and unrealistic. Like, what's the deal with this town rivalry? I understand it to a point, but being worried over what people will think of you dating someone from the other town? That's dumb. That's probably the only example I can give without spoilers, but yeah. I didn't dislike this book and will probably read more, but there will be eyerolls.
Wow, This series is going to be Amazing!!! The chemistry between Kira and Connor was sizzling from start to finish, I could not put it down and I didn’t want it to end!! I laughed, I cried, just the right amount of drama!! This book had everything I love about reading!! I can’t get enough of Elizabeth Kelly’s books!! I received an ARC for an honest review!!
I’m a huge fan of this author and this new series had me chomping at the bits. It wasn’t a let down at all. Kira and Conner were relatable and likable. From the very first chapter they intrigued me and had me reading late into the night. Their chemistry was off the charts. I highly recommend this book! You won’t regret it!
What a beginning to a new series Harmony Falls, love small town romance Elizabeth Kelly does an amazing job with Sweet Harmony. She crafts a story that pulls you in, just the right amount of steam and romance. As all of Elizabeth’s stories it leaves you wanting more. Looking forward to our next visit to Harmony Falls. I received an ARC for a honest review.
Kira and Connor were really sweet together. At times, they were a little cringe, especially when Kira was getting so desperate to sleep with him (i.e., the shower scene). Overall, I loved their chemistry and Kira was an extremely likable heroine. She was kind and loyal, exactly what Connor needed.
I wish my dentist was this hot! Damn! This book was amazing! Read it in one sitting! The story was entertaining and funny, the characters were interesting and fun! Just loved it all! Can’t wait to see what is next for this series!
A fantastic new series from Elizabeth Kelly. Love the characters and the way she weaves the storyline and secondary characters for future books. Hot and steamy scenes make it a sizzling read. Not to be missed and can't wait for the next one!!
I could not stop reading this book. I laughed, I blushed, and I fell in love with the characters. I would 100% recommend. I never fantasized about a dentist but now I just want to meet a hot dentist that can take my breath away!
I love this author but the characters in this book were too *everything* to continue reading. The lead h was too *pure/innocent*, the lead H was too * dominant/tenderhearted*. The brother was too *tough/sweet*. Blah blah blah.
