Becky is taking riding lessons at the Cherrydale Stables. That's not news to Katie or her friends: In fact, they are sick of hearing about horses and sick of hearing Becky brag about what a great rider she is. Still, Katie convinces everyone to go to the horse show where Becky wins a medal in the first event, showmanship. The event looks pretty easy. However, Katie gets to see what it's like from the horse's perspective when suddenly she's switcherooed into Becky's horse Brownie.

Katie and her friends were going to a horse show and the magic wind blew and turned Katie into a horse when she was in the stalls. Then she almost ruined the horse show because she ran away. The rider of the horse she turned into and someone who worked there said that her horse would be ok for a few minutes, but it was actually Katie and this man had sugar cubes in his pocket that smelled good to Katie. So she just ran after the man like the other horses. When Becky (the rider) came back, she stopped the horses and lured them back to their stalls. Katie turned back to herself.
I wish I could ride a pony just like Becky does. It would be fun to try it out. I like how Nancy Krulik always writes about topics that occur in kid's lives (not the switcheroo part, but the activities they do and places they go).
I have only read up to the 29th in the series. The books are OK. They are WAY too easy to read. I read them in 1st and 2nd grade, the hardest word in any of them, is Suzanne
