“Magic could be the very death of you…or it could be what saves the world.”

In the Kingdom of Virgo, witches and wizards have lived peacefully for thousands of years. On the other side of the Dark Forest resides the Land of Terran. The humans of Terran treat those from Virgo as second-class citizens, disgracing and trapping them at every turn. After centuries of tension, a silent war is finally brewing, and the timing couldn’t be worse for Princess Azure. This young witch will soon be crowned queen of the Kingdom of Virgo.

In the Dark Forest, a powerful potion-maker has been murdered. He was the key to ending the war.

Charmsgood was the only wizard who could stop a deadly virus that suddenly plagues Virgo. He also could have fixed the devastation the people from Terran had done to the forest. Now he is gone.

Azure must protect her people. Mend the Dark Forest. Create alliances with savage beasts. No biggie, right?

This complete digital box set contains seven exciting and enchanting adventures.

House of Enchanted: Just as the war with the humans is brewing, Azure is set to be crowned the new queen of Virgo. But on coronation day everything changes. Princess Azure isn’t who she thought she was and that’s a big freaking problem.

Dark Forest: Azure suddenly finds herself a prisoner of Terran. She must escape and locate her mother’s soul stone. The virus that stole the queen’s magic is going after her very life, and the soul stone is her only hope.

Mountain of Truth: Azure and her ragtag crew set off for the Mountain of Truth in hopes of locating Mage Lenore, the oldest witch alive. They soon learn the problem isn’t finding the old witch. It’s surviving each other on the mountain.

Land of Terran: A betrayal sends Azure on yet another adventure. She must get back the Book of Branches in order to find the rogue dryads. They are the key to healing the Dark Forest.

New Egypt: Queen Azure sets off on a world tour of Oriceran, thinking she’ll strengthen relations with neighboring kingdoms. On her first stop in New Egypt she finds something chilling.

Lancothy: New Egypt is being overrun by vampires. Knowing her options are limited, Azure sets off for the kingdom of Lancothy, where bats are known to reside. She must get to them before the vampires do. Bats are deadly to magic.

Virgo: With Lancothy in ruins, Azure and the gang help the wereanimals find new homes. Meanwhile, the vampires are planning a merciless attack on Virgo. Azure’s homecoming is marked by blood, tragedy and a great loss.

*NOTE: There’s cursing in this series because these witches and wizards are just rude like that. If cursing is a problem, then this might not be for you.

Should be labeled YA and Liberal

I read the whole thing. It was rather like having to finish my vegetables (Brussels Sprouts at that). It was simplistic, preachy(Consumer Party -seriously?)and way to sugary sweet in places. FYI using the word fuck doesn’t make it an adult set of novels. It simply is a word that was overused and kept this from being a YA series. The constant inside jokes about authors were forced and not funny. I would let my kids read it but I wasted two days of my life that I’m not getting back. Not sure what all the hype was about.

Good engrossing read

Found this fascinating every spare second reading it.Believable story line loved the connection between two worlds. Some characters were funny although you can see why they tried so many sub stories most were not needed
Now the downside the swearing I don’t understand why you had to use it so much, was actually childish and no reason half the time.Book five that should have been the most darkest of all was in fact one that I would never have read.Full of silly capers jokes and introduce two many characters that never had a story.
Overall first four I loved but if I had know about book five was written so badly would not have both
Please remember this is only my opinion,if I were you I would still give it a go

Disgusting language!

I only made it through three chapters before the profanity became more than I could tolerate. I have had similar issues with some of the other authors Michael Anderle has mentored as well. I slogged all the way through the first series and found that the story line was great and the profanity completely unnecessary but said in that review that I would no longer read works by that author due to the language. The language in this book makes that first series read like a child's tale. On the other hand, I have read authors mentored by Mr. Anderle who wrote wonderfully entertaining tales with just a sprinkling of profanity scattered throughout. I guess it's just a shot in the dark when you pick a series that lists Mr. Anderle as a coauthor.

Adventure in Oriceran

I loved the concepts in this branch of the Oriceran universe. The books were fun. I have a little touch of OCD, so there were a few things that tripped me up: Drago the Kilomea introduced in book one transformed into an Orc in book 2, and my brain never got over it; some sentences seemed to have been surgically attached to each other in awkward ways; and several spots had me thinking “you keep using that word...”.

Having said all that, I still very much enjoyed the ride, and fell in love with the characters, and with the descriptions of Oriceran.

I’m eager for more, and raising a toast to this collaborative collective!

Good for the soul

This series takes you through the journey of ones understanding of what unconditional love is. Although it's given in the form of a science fiction fantasy genre the simple facts of life still shine through and the object lessons are clear. Violence is rarely ever the right answer and puzzling through the possible solutions with the characters within the Soul Stone Mage Collection is not only fun and educational but a great way to see things from a perspective of an unsoiled nature.

Fantastic magic adventure

Great storyline that follows through all the books. Great characters with hidden depth. Book 7 seems to be the end, but thats not clear- there are loose ends and the Queen has only made peace with 3/4 of the world so far. Somewhat unrealistic even in a magical world. I kept thinking that every ruler after her will be seen as weak and insignificant due to all the things the Queen does. Theres a hint of romance, but it doesn’t explore it. All the different creatures and beings are explained really well.

I just finished reading book 1 and decided I wanted to leave a review about it, but the first review I saw was Shelley North's review and I decided she had already written my review for me. The plot was really too simple for adults, there were NO surprises at all. I disagree with Shelly about one thing though. If I still had teenagers I would NOT let them read this book. This book would be PERFECT for kids from age 12 to age 16 except for the work "fuck" was used WAY WAY WAY too much. And by a Princess (and in front of her mother)?

It's also a cliff hanger and I just HATE those.

Great Series

There were parts in this book that had way too many F-bombs and removed a star for it. It became offensive to me but as the story went on the language improved and I really enjoyed it.
The characters grew up mostly together and they cared a lot for each other. Newly arrived people/animals were included in the family.
There was a lot of magic and action throughout the story which kept it exciting.

I’d love to love this series!

But there are some problems with these books. The biggest one it that a scene in book 2 that keeps recurring with no purpose that I could see. Over and over again it starts a chapter with the same scene without explanation. If I didn’t love these books I would have given it a 2.

My heart is full!

What a great addition to this universe. I daresay, Azure is my favorite character I have read so far. She is kind, diplomatic and has enough live for at least two universes. Ever and Monet are amazing partners in her life as well as a lot of other friends. I highly recommend this series.

Good books with issues

I read the later Oriceran books before I found this series so I was excited to read the early years. They're good, but if you hate continuity errors these will drive you nuts. Maybe it's a problem with 3 authors, but when Drago went from being a Kilomea in book 1 to an Orc in book 2, I was like ???? If you can get past that, read on.

Good read

I've been working my way through the Oriceran universe box sets in order. So far they are all great reads. This set is no different, well worth the time. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it kept bugging me about the character Drago. He's introduced as a Kilomea, but later is an Orc.

Absolutely loved this story

I absolutely loved this story the wonderful characters brought great joy to my heart as they grew and discovered what we all know deep in our hearts the we are all connected and only grief comes from holding ourselves back from fully loving and forgiving each other when we inevitably goof up. Ps. you might want to update the kilimea reference to orc

Great story

Loved the storyline, imagination and the world created. I do think this is more catered towards a younger audience as the endings are vanilla. The climax doesn’t do justice to the buildup in most cases. Still a worthy read.

Very good imagination and story line, but.........but why so much fuck! fuckface, and every other place it could be fitted in. I realise several authors were used, and did not check who had written that book, but why. The last of the seven was well written, and no need for fucking swearing.

Ok Read

Good story, some characters well made, adventure, some action and humor. Could have been more but each book is not long, some characters were thrown in and some the the curse words a bit much. Still an ok read and some likable main characters.

Spend a nice weekend in bed reading.

Even with the cursing this series has a young adult vibe. Set in the Oriceran Universe it is more sword and fantasy than paranormal. Continuity errors kept it from 5 stars.

soul stone mage?

OK
I read everything and truly enjoyed all the twists and turns
I even think I got who the stone mage is

Yet, the “soul stone” mage is not as important as love and honesty

The books are tons of fun
Enjoy!
