"All the riches and wealth of heaven are available to every believer in Christ. When you have Christ you have access to it all. This is abundant life." (Patricia King, Accessing the Riches of Heaven)
This book gives you keys to experiencing God's lavish provision: How God wants His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. She speaks on the topics of heaven's abundance, four realms of abundance, creating these realms of abundance in your own life, how to access the riches of heaven by faith, and then filling the earth with these riches of heaven. You are blessed to be a blessing!
This book not only talks about financial riches, but the total riches of the Gospel, which includes riches of peace, health, wholeness, provision, safety and freedom... She says, "When you live in God's realm of blessing, everything works together for good, and you will be blessed in everything you put your hands to. You will be blessed as you rise up in the morning and blessed when you sleep at night. All your relationships will be blessed. Your finances will be blessed. Your health will be blessed. You will increase in houses, lands, vehicles. You will be fruitful and multiply. You will be blessed with great favor. You will shine as a light in the darkest of places. Your righteousness will shine like noonday (see Isaiah 58:10). Goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life (see Psalm 23:6).
The truth that spoke to me the most in this book was in Chapter 2, in which she speaks on the hindrances to accessing the riches of heaven. There are many hindrances listed, but I was particularly drawn to the hindrance she listed as number seven: Lack of Focus on Truth. She articulates that what you focus on-you empower. Jesus taught this in Mark 4:24. To sum up in my own words: If you focus on the truth; truth will empower you. Focus on that which is false, and you will be empowered by falsehood. One leads to freedom, and one leads to bondage and oppression. Guess which one the enemy wants you to focus on? She says, "The more you study, mediate on and activate the truth of God's Word concerning the supernatural and the blessings that are awaiting you as you access the riches of heaven, the more you will enjoy the manifestations of that which you are focused on."
So much more in this book that I cannot divulge here!

I must admit that reading this book was a disorienting experience for me. The author writes from within a particular part of the Pentecostal tradition and seems to be defending the legitimacy of her own views about the supposed Treasury of God while simultaneously attacking those who believe that at times Christians will be called to suffer in this world and that their godliness will not always be manifest in their circumstances. It appears that this particular subject, the legitimacy of the prosperity gospel and the extent of the physical blessings that are supposed to come to believers, is a very contentious one within the Pentecostal world and the author has some very strident views on the matter, which she expresses very passionately, as this book is part of a much larger debate. The author also spends a lot of time seeking to build her credibility to the reader by talking about her various efforts around the world to help with problems like human trafficking, where she notes that poverty has moral consequences in pressuring families to sell their children in order to make life better for the rest of the family, with tragic consequences.
This book is a little less than 200 pages and begins with a foreword by Shawn Bolz. The author then moves to looking at the desire for things to be on earth as they are in heaven, which clearly means something different to the author than it does for many others (1). She then discusses some hindrances to our accessing the riches of heaven, including fear and sin (2), before moving to the abundant life that believers enjoy as a result of being citizens of the Kingdom of heaven (3). The author discusses four different realms of abundance that believers can enjoy (4) and also discusses how realms of abundance can be created by believers (5). The author discusses how people can access the riches of heaven by faith (6) and ascend and descend between heaven and earth through mystical experiences (7). The author discusses how the riches of heaven can be accessed through praise and worship (8) before discussing the need for believers to be spiritual (9) and also fill the earth with the riches of heaven (10). Each chapter of this book ends with a summary, questions to ponder, and a declaration for the believer to make over their life.
This book would have been a lot easier to appreciate had the author spent more time discussing biblical words than her own language. Every culture has its own inspeak, though, and certainly this book has a great deal of Pentecostal inspeak. It hits the sort of high notes that one would expect from a book of this kind, showing a deep interest in the sort of power and blessings that believers expect from God, a strong interest in spiritual warfare and holiness, and an awareness that physical poverty can have moral consequences, and so therefore there is a moral purpose in building societies where the well-being of ordinary people can improve economically, which requires overcoming sin and corruption. Despite coming from a different faith tradition from the author, I found what the author had to say very interesting, and I was intrigued as to the way that she would distinguish her own theology from the theology of Job's friends. This is certainly a worthwhile book to read and certainly part of a debate over the prosperity gospel within contemporary Pentecostal thought and doctrine.
In Accessing The Riches Of Heaven, Patricia King teaches that Heaven is not just a future destination for believers, but an ever-present reality that can be accessed at any time by any born again believer. In ten chapters, the author teaches on subjects like realms of abundance, worship, hindrances to accessing the riches of Heaven, and the role faith plays in all of this. The “riches” mentioned in the title and throughout the book is not specifically referring to financial prosperity. The riches of Heaven are far greater. According to Patricia, “The world’s economy is very fickle, and we should never put our trust in it...I do not not compare myself with the billionaires of the world because that is not how I gauge “rich””. I highly recommend this book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Chosen Books in exchange for an honest review.
This book is so good. It has reminded me of all we as believers have been given in Heaven and can access here in earth.
This book has also helped me start contending for things. Not material things but spiritual things for my family. I need to start speaking the Word of God over situations that I see no hope. So I have started doing this. I can’t wait to see how God will move in those areas of my live.
If you need to reminder, or maybe the realization, of all you have been given as a child of God I highly recommend this book.

Patricia King reminds us of all that is ours in Christ and the importance of living fully as a Christ follower. I am inspired to grab onto and live out fully my life in Christ! Thank you for this.
Inspiring and informational work scriptures to back up Mrs. King’s prolific points. I actually read each chapter twice, because there is so much powerful material. Mrs. King offered me a new means of viewing some scriptures.
Wow, what a powerful and eye-opening read. Many believers do not claim their inheritance here on earth, as they are totally unaware that it’s available. Patricia King brings light to the fact that heaven is not a one-stop destination, but yet a realm we can access time and time again at any point to withdraw knowledge, resources, and spiritual riches to aid us with our purpose here on earth.
