*** Kiran: The Warrior’s Heart is the fourth book in the Rights of the Strong series by Ellen Stellar, the Fantasy Writer of the Year — 2017’. A clever, hilarious, and action-packed romance takes a new plot turn with an explosive blast!
Loved this whole series. Women's rights, believing in yourself, looking the other way, royalty. Goes to another planet to approach topics we wrestle with on ours. And Kiran is such a headstrong and lovable character. Only complaint, it seems like the five of these books make up one story in all.
Issue 1: It’s like the author decided she didn’t care and repackaged the 2 books she had already published and we purchased into 4 books. So when feeling super excited and deciding to buy books 3,4&5 only to discover that it just repeated everything that was in the first two already published books. It didn’t catch up the story until a little more than halfway through book 4. So halfway through book 4 is where the original release of this book ended on in book 2. Absolutely confusing!!!!
Issue 2: Book 4 of the new material so that’s only the last half of the book has a whole section in the wrong place. literally a whole chunk of section randomly inserted in a spot that makes no sense. After you read that you’re like what? But then you finally get to a part than makes sense and continues the story only to finally get to the that part in the correct place so you read it again only this time it makes sense where it is in the story. Even more absolutely confusing!!!
Issue 3: Which brings us to my final issue. By this time I think you can already figure out what it is. With so many mistakes everywhere I’m absolutely confused on what’s going on. Trying to understand all the alien races and shadow races is hard enough without the book being a complete mess. It’s basically impossible to read.
The only reason I’m sticking with it is because I loved the story so very much before whoever got hype bright idea to start re-sectioning it into more books to buy which sucks but I could possibly have forgiven if it was actually redone by someone who knew what they were doing. The only reason I didn’t give this only 1 star is because I really did love the story. It had so much potential if people would have just let it remain a trilogy. I’m terrified to buy the next book but I’m going to live dangerously and give it a try only cause I really want to know how it ends.
