3.5 stars. I didn’t find this as informative as most other dog training books I have read. The answers were limited to one page, and many of the posed questions didn’t seem to be common problems. Overall, good information, but it wasn’t very broad and all-encompassing.

Dlaczego mój pies to robi? jest poradnikiem,który odpowiada na 50 pytań zadanych przez czytelników . ja jednej stronie są pytania z rysunkami,na drugiej odpowiedzi, również z rysunkami. Czasem poznajemy różne ciekawostki z życia innych zwierząt.
Dowiedziałam się wielu różnych fascynujących rzeczy o psach, o których nie miałam pojęcia. Chyba mało kto zdaje sobie sprawę jak te dwa światy- ludzki i psi różnią się od siebie. Jak wiele popełniamy błędów wychowawczych.Jak czasem krzywdzimy naszego pupila, nie rozumiejąc go. Każdy ,kto ma psa,powinien przeczytać tę pozycję. Ale jeżeli ktoś dopiero sprawił sobie szczeniaka, to jest książka dla niego obowiązkowa. Przez te 30 lat odkąd miałam pierwszego psa bardzo zmieniło się wychowanie i tresura psa i bardzo dobrze,bo przemoc np. władanie nosa w mocz psa,to bardzo niedobra metoda. Psi behawioryści, to bardzo piękny zawód i bardzo dobrze,że powstał.
Książka ma surową oprawę. Jest głównie czarno- biała,z pewnymi minimalistycznymi akcentami, ale podoba mi się taka szata graficzna.
Jestem bardzo ciekawa jaki będzie kolejny mój poradnik: Dlaczego mój kot to robi? Koty są bardziej tajemnicze od psów, więc myślę, że będzie to dla mnie niemałe zaskoczenie i wielka przyjemność z czytania.

Förmodligen en sammanställning av frågor från en frågespalt. Frågorna som ställs är av karaktären saker som en hundägare redan borde ha läst i en handbok eller på annat sätt tagit reda på innan de skaffade hund. Och svaren är av karaktären det beror på, kan ha olika orsaker, och betyda olika saker, där forskare har olika förklaringar eller inte vet. Tillkommer faktarutor med relaterade men irrelevanta fakta om andra djurarter som delfiner eller elefanter. På det hela taget en rätt meningslös bok för hundägaren eller -föraren.

Bon ouvrage pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas tellement les chiens, même si j'ai trouvé par contre qu'il y avait beaucoup de répétitions autant dans les questions que les réponses. (Genre l'auteure nous prend un peu pour des cons aha? J'ai compris que le chien se soucie de sa place dans la hiérarchie... Passe à un autre appel.) J'espère qu'il y aura plus de variété dans le 2e tome que je débute tout juste, qui est d'ailleurs écrit par des professionnels québécois cette fois!

While some of the information was good, I felt like this was the equivalent of people asking personal questions in a group meeting session. Some of the questions were very specific to a particular person and their situation. I also haven’t seen my dog do a lot of the things mentioned in this book.

A great book for any dog owner... it helps you understand why dogs do the things they do. Easy to read in bits and pieces or just browse through looking for questions specific to your dog's behaviors.

As a veterinarian I am always seeking more information and as much resources to help my patients as possible. This was a good and simple read and did have some useful information. I found some of the information contradictory to other sources, which did make me question her qualifications to write this book (and I still wonder frankly - are you a board certified behaviourist? Do you have a Phd in this?). Regardless, I thought this would be a great resource for new pet owners and really wished some of the people I see on a daily basis would have read something like this before choosing their current pet.

Väldigt basic, men jag tycker den tar upp många vettiga frågor. Förhoppningsvis är innehållet i den här boken något som ingår i de flesta hundhandböcker för nya ägare. Det känns som mycket är sådant som borde vara helt obligatoriskt att känna till som hundägare (hosthost, trotsålder och tonårstrots).

A quick book that I was able to pick up, and finish, at the library. While I agreed with most of the advice, it did feel like several questions had repeated or very similar advice. I also felt like the majority of the book was targeted toward people who had puppies rather than just dogs. Definitely for the person who is new to having dogs but a pleasant enough read.

Cute, but it basically boils down to, "Because he/she is a dog" or "Because he/she has her own canine personality" -- something most dog owners know already. Oh, also did you know that dogs' sense of smell is 44 times that of a human? Yea, they repeat that tidbit a few times.

Great book, recommend for any newish dog owner. It is written in a magazine style problem page, so very readable. Not many scenarios to the book but all about behaviour which was interesting.
