Wow - you wrote the blueprint of my entire relationship with my soon to be divorced husband from courtship until I "got lucky" that he left me. I never got "love-bombed" really, but once the knot was tied - it was downhill from there. Thank you for traits chapter that gave me perspective as to how and why I got caught up. The "dissociation" chapter was quite new and brought perspective on how I handled that - not well, I indulged in alcohol. Wanna know how to piss off a narcissist? He cant control you when your drunk! LOL - BAD- I know. Just funny now! One last funny "hoover" email I got from the abuser - "I need access to vehicles when I want, not when it is convenient for you. I also should be able to see you and the dogs when I want." Seriously? I am struggling, but going to get to NCEA- as you described and lucky we have no kids! THANKS - !!! Btw, I downloaded your book on Kindle - how do I access the workbook?
Your book is a huge help to me. My husband's brother is not only a Narcissist he is also a misogynist. He has been abusing my family (husband and 5 kids) for almost 35 years and I have developed PTSD. I am an Adult Child and in recovery using the ACA program of recovery. Thank You Very Much!
