Sample the delights of Spanish tapas – perfect for snacks, starters and party food.
Served in bars all over Spain, tapas are the ultimate in bar snacks. From a simple bowl of olives to a mouthwatering selection of seafood, there is always something for everyone. Fish and Seafood are an essential part of any tapas menu and include delicious morsels such as Gambas al Ajillo (garlic prawns) and Tigre Tapas (mussels in overcoats). No tapas selection is complete without traditional Meat and Poultry dishes, such as Cordero al Limón (lamb with lemon) and Chorizo al Vino (chorizo in red wine). Vegetables and Little Extras include classics such as Tortilla Española (Spanish omelette) and everyone’s favourite vegetarian tapas dish, Patatas Bravas (potatoes in tomato sauce). There are also essential accompaniments like Alioli and Almendras Saladas (salted almonds).
First, apologies to my GR friends in the Netherlands. As much as I want to claim that my Dutch language skills are more that rudimentary, that isn't the case.
Due to my incompetence, or some fumbling on the part of GR staff, there doesn't seem to be a version of this book available in English. That one exists should not be doubted....see I am holding it here in my hand. (photo)
Tapas are no longer something you have to go to Spain to enjoy. I did have many pleasant experiences in Spanish bars but we have enjoyed them in Chicago, Baltimore, and New York City as well as other places around the USA.
This short book does contain some of our favorites in the 30-40 double-page displays of: Fish and shellfish; meat and poultry; vegetable-based, etc. The photos are tempting and the recipes are not complex. There are bigger books and there are more elaborate collections but this one brings back the right memories.

Thanks to my GR friend Samantha's suggestion, I have created this one. If you read my previous review, no need to go further. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
