I was expecting this book to be much bigger and to have pre-production stuff, descriptions, and concept art. Instead there's just pictures from the movie and artwork a few artists have done that is related to the original Little Mermaid story. There's very little on the process of creating the film. There's a few small pages about the initial concept of making the story into a film and a little bit about the music Not much else. Disappointing.

In comparison to other Art books dedicated to animated movies, this book has very, very little pre-production work. I's day more than half are still from the movie and less than half is pre-production work and sketches. I mainly buy these kinds of art books for the sketches and pre-production work to see how a movie is made. This book offers little to no insight into that process.
