Taking Professor Grayson's Mythology of Mating Rituals class wasn't part of Nolan Baker's plan, and since he hates surprises and always follows his plans, Nolan really has no explanation for why he enrolled. At least, none that he wants to admit to.
Gray has been helping his students interpret human motivation through the metaphor of fated mates for more than a decade, but up until a certain dark eyed, too pretty, too serious omega enrolls in one of his classes, he never once considered the possibility that the ancient myths might have actually been true.
MAKE ME LET GO is the second book in the Omega Celibacy Club series, a contemporary omegaverse world where the only thing stronger than an alpha’s will is his desire to keep his omega happy, and where even omegas who don’t believe in fated mates sometimes still find them.
Angel Knots is the pen name of a rabid Omegaverse fan who also happens to be a writer.
In real life, Angel goes by another name and pens contemporary gay romance stories when she's not chasing after the two small humans she spawned during the last decade.
She knows that the fans of her other books may not appreciate knotting, soul-bonds, and male impregnation as much as she does, so with the flick of a pen she created a new identity and happily started filling blank pages with self-lubricating omegas and the alphas they love.
We're back at the OCC where alphas are a no-go and sex is a no-no and Nolan's got it hot for teacher. Oh man...did this one break my heart....several times. I felt like it was more angsty than the first one. There's some misunderstanding for a while and I wanted to shake both Nolan and Gray.
Poor Nolan. I wanted to wrap him up in a warm blanket and snuggle him. I mean seriously...I felt like he was sort of put through the wringer and then you throw another curve ball at the end. It works out for all parties involved but still. It made me sad. It kind of dashed my hopes that Jamie would get a story 😢
But I'm looking forward to Emmett's story. Seems he's "got it bad" for a certain hot alpha jock 😉
Continuing tales of omegas that swear celibacy but buss it wiiiiiiiiide open for their alpha at the first available opportunity.
Not even to designation shame but maybe omegas need to just give up on celibacy because their situation is unique and if the normies can't fight body betrayal trope, how can an omega succeed?
'Breed me, alpha'......and it's chapter 2 of a series called the Omega Celibacy Club AND you're on heat blockers💀💀💀💀
The jokes write themselves.
This is very similar to book 1(in the sense that the sex is quite literally in chapter 2) but the difference here is it's a professor/student pairing, and while in book 1 there was an unplanned pregnancy, book 2 has a well thought out plan to conceive....and then the Alpha turns out to be sterile.
I don't think I've come across sterility in omegaverse(for the alpha) prior to this so it was novel to see Gray crashing out over it since the whole backbone of his courtship of Nolan was 'I will give you whatever you want'.
Which worked out fine at the start, as what Nolan wanted was to finish school, find a decent job and a predictable alpha to settle down with. No kids yet.
And then that changed almost overnight and Nolan wanted a baby, only for them to try and discover that Gray could in fact not do that.
The solution to it was very predictable, imo, but I won't begrudge a couple that badly wants a child getting one easily.
It was okay, angstier than the first but I won't be continuing the series because none of the MCs have been able to stand on business re: celibacy.
And I don't blame them. I read omegaverse for the body betrayal so.......
It's just not living up to the premise. I don't know if that makes sense.
Can't be thirsting for the creampie two chapters in. Resist a little, damn.
Me thinks this whole celibacy club idea isn't going to work out so well, lol. 2 down, 2 to go!
This is just the schmoopiest, sweetest, sexiest, hottest book ever - I love how this author writes the chemistry between two characters, with all of the emotion and All The Feels.
Nolan definitely had something going on during the first book in this series, and in his book we get to find out - someone's got it bad for teacher. I love a teacher/student romance when it's done well, and this one is done incredibly well.
I loved Nolan and Gray together - seriously, they are hotness off the charts when they are together. But they're also sweet and so totally gone for the other, it's just a thrill to read about them together. I love their struggles, how ultimately they make the other better, and they truly are stronger together. I don't want to say anything to give it away, but I love how things worked out for everyone, and I love that despite it not being "traditional," it shows that you don't need traditional to be complete and whole.
Got my lucky hands on an arc of book 3 - definitely need to see what Emmett's been up to with his tutoring sessions!
I wish I could give these books five stars. They’re well written, entertaining and sweet... but I’m having trouble buying the whole fated mate stuff. Most of the book was them having sex but never dates or just talking or funny little things that made them get closer. It was school, baking, sex, a little drama, rinse and repeat. And none of this was bad it’s just not very believable. I loved Nolan and Grey together and thought they complemented each other very well. There was definitely love there that the author could have just explored more, and make a beautiful fated mates story. The ending was a little bittersweet because I had wanted Jamie to keep his baby but I was happy Nolan and Grey has gotten the family they so badly wanted. All in all it was a good book and I 100% recommend. I also LOVE the student/teacher/ forbidden trope and this one was nicely done 👏

I received this book by the author and This is my honest opinion. I loved this story it had all the banter, emotional turmoil and the spanking slap and tickle. I laughed at quite a few moments during this book, it was such a feel good book though I was sad at one point and really felt for Gray and his news especially when he was so distraught. This was when Nolan bless his cotton socks calmed him down and just reminded him they were in it together and which made my heart warm from the interaction. A well written book which made me empathise with the characters and I'm glad it turnt out all happily.

I'm glad I gave the series a second chance. I really like student/professor pairings. It was admittedly very instant love, but it's explained that fated mates give off pheromones that cause the attraction -- even more so than an omega's heat. I wanted to shake Gray a little for his inability to fully communicate, but the book quickly heated up. I also enjoyed the twist on the usual ending. (Not telling.)
If you enjoy a/b/o, insta-love, student/professor, gated mates/bonding, you'll probably enjoy Make Me Let Go. Some minor D/s and impact play. Dub-con by virtue of a/b/o mechanics and alpha voice.
I enjoyed Gray and Nolan’s story but I wasn’t completely in love with it like I was with Emmett’s book. Speaking of, this book did make my love for Emmett grow even more which I didn’t think was possible. I also adored Jamie, he made me laugh out loud at times.
the occ is falling fast haha.. this was amazing.. nolan was everything.. he was confused and didnt get it.. but he was also so brilliant and wonderful.. once he got it everything clicked and he was all in. gray was soooo romantic and sweet and amazing. i loved it
I didn't see the twist coming, but I was satisfied with how it all worked out in the end. Now I just have to wait another couple weeks for Emmett's book...
3.5 stars Good but liked the 1st one more. Not enough (emotional) interactions & sex between the MC. When it happened it was good. I did love them though. Fabulous epilogue.
Now, so you understand, this book coincides with book one. So you definitely need to read these in order. They are happening at the same time, so you need them all to understand where some things are coming from and how they came to be. The first book, Make Me Give In, is Simon's story of the OCC, and this book is Nolan's.
For as long as he can remember, everything in Nolan's life has to be just so. The corners have to align, the world needs to be scheduled and heaven forbid there's a mess somewhere. Part of it comes from the fact that in his younger days, he felt no control, no love, not much of anything. So now that he has control, he's going to make sure he has it all the way. His life is mapped out exactly the way he wants in, until he gets a grade that drops his 4.0 average to a 3.98. To most people, it wouldn't be a big deal, but to Nolan, it's everything and he's losing his mind. His friend Jamie comes up with an idea on what to do about it, so when he goes to see his professor about the grade, he says what Jamie said and not what he wanted to say. And now he's mortified. But Gray, his professor, is happy, because he knows Nolan is his fated mate. He's always dreamed that it wasn't a myth and looking at Nolan, he knows it's not. But telling Nolan that has freaked him out and now they are treading on uneven ground. Nolan knows he needs Gray, but how can he give up that control? Can he really let go and let Gray be the alpha he's supposed to be or is he going to keep denying them both and hide away?
Being an omega is so scary. Their rights are treated like dirt, they are often treated like holes and dirt and often left hanging after an alpha has knocked them up. So, I understood from book one why they decided to make this club and remain celibate. It's not that they never wanted to get married, but they wanted their careers and to finish school before they did. They wanted to be see as something other than a breeding machine. And for Nolan, that was triple important. I admire Gray in this though. He was determined to prove to Nolan that not all alphas are buttheads. That they, the omegas, were really the ones with the power. The power to choose or not and anything in between. But sometimes it's hard to see that when it seems like omegas are just ignored or treated the way they are. But Gray, bless his heart, had the patience of a saint. Because there were so many times he wanted to give in, but he wasnt't going to until Nolan gave him a definitive yes. And no yes in the heat of the moment. A yes when he was clearheaded. They were actually quite perfect for each other. Gray caused Nolan to finally get out of his head and let go, and Gray knew he was accepted for who he was and not just a pretty face. Especially when it got hard between them.
It's been a good series so far. I'm very intrigued. I'm anxious to see Emmett's side of things now and what he's planning on doing. I want to see someone worthy of him and to make him stop questioning himself. Someone to help him be more confident. You guys need to read this series. http://lovebytesreviews.com/
Such a great mpreg story. There is a lot going on with the main characters, Nolan and Gray, as well as keeping up with the members of the OCC that the series is based on. This book takes place around the same time as book 1. It can be read as a standalone but I think you'd get more enjoyment and overall understanding of everyone if read in order. Nolan is an omega very set in his ways with calendars, notes, plans and back up plans for back up plans. An A- is something he has never received and so he goes to the professor to ask why that was the grade given. Gray teaches Mythology of Mating Rituals and the stories told of ancient alpha/omega relationships. What surprises him is the draw and instant connection he feels towards Nolan and the relationship and events that blossom for the two men bring about a lot of emotional turmoil, growth and drama. My heart went out to Nolan as I read through his story. Constantly over thinking, over analysing everything and feeling things acutely makes for a crowded head space. Gray is his perfect match, protective, loving and wanting to give the best to Nolan. Angel has done a wonderful job in writing a perfect alpha/omega match. Though it's not a smooth road for them, both men having trouble adjusting to an unexpected connection, Nolan's friends are also going through things that he becomes more aware of. This is a great second book in the Omega Celibacy Club series, definitely recommend and has a lovely little bit of bdsm to give a dash of kink to the story. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
Make Me Let Go is a tender professor/student romance by Angel Knots.
Knowing it's forbidden doesn't stop Gray as he can't hold off on admitting the pull between Nolan and himself. Of course, forbidden relationships aren't ever easy. Their relationship involves complications, disappointments, and more.
Both men have some growing to do. Gray needs to realize that as an Alpha, he's not the only one who needs to take care of their relationship. Both men need to bear their burdens together, and both men can provide comfort.
As couple, Gray and Nolan are wonderful together. Fated mates, they truly are two halves of a whole. Their story is a wonderful one of getting out of one's head and accepting the gift of comfort. Their love is strong, and their chemistry is even stronger.
Nolan's personality of calculating risks is so damn well developed. He's a man of structure who needs order and predictability. Learning to go with the flow a little every now and then is a huge growth for him. I absolutely enjoyed every part of this aspect of Nolan. It's makes for a fantastic issue to overcome, and it just downright endeared him to me.
Make Me Let Go is a wonderful story of life taking a different path than one has planned. It's a tender tale of finding true love and overcoming all the obstacles in one's way to hold onto it. It's a great light-hearted read.
Welcome to the OCC-The Omega Celibacy Club! Where the Omegas: -vow to keep each other on task til graduation...check ✔ -vow to remain celibate and away from alphas til graduation...err...maybe...possibly...ahh $% WE ARE SOOO SCREWED!!! 😲Exactly
Nolan - Omega • cynical • doesn't believe in fated mates • loyal friend • overachiever • has life mapped out •
Professor Grayson - Alpha • makes a discovery that changes his teaching style • helps Nolan stay focused •
This is book #2 in the OCC Omegaverse. While it isn't necessary to have read book #1 to enjoy this one, I think it helps broaden the spectrum as the stories are happening simultaneously.
I don't consider this a slow burn necessarily. However, "The Big Bang" doesn't actually happen til two-thirds through, but you do not need to worry. There is so much foreplay and sMMexy goodness happening that includes HAWT professor/ student discipline scenes that you never feel unsassified! 😜
Hidden under all the romance, silliness, and fun are some real gems regarding the evolution of self, and how some of the most treasured and unexpected gifts are given by our dearest friends.💖 Nolan and Gray are perfectly fated for each other.
4 knotty-but-nice-stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Make Me Let Go by Angel Knots is the second book in the Omega Celibacy Club series. It is a non-shifter mpreg romance... with spanking added in, a hot professor and an incredibly adorable omega. Seriously Ilove love love Nolan and his slip ups of speaking things he didnt mean to say... like Yes please sir instead of the sensible, responsible no. Oh and Gray is an amazing Alpha... whew, I'd be hot for teacher too. These characters made me laugh, made me smile and made me go " Awwww". And I may have teared up at one point. I loved them together.. they fit. And of course the supporting characters are here making me impatient to hear their own stories. I love the idea of the series, with the Omega's Celibacy Club and fate stepping in to change their views on the whole fated mates topic. I am really enjoying these books.
I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
Cute, sweet story centering aroud a fated couple - Nolan and Gray. There are characters from the first book, but this reads well as a standalone. Nolan is a borderline OCD perfectionist whose world is 'shattered' when his GPA slightly drops from a perfect 4. It doesn't help that the class he gets an A- in is an elective! Gray is the professor who gave Nolan said A-. Gray already knows that Nolan is his fated omega, but Nolan takes a while to be convinced, despite the fact that he keeps going back to Gray.
Overall, I enjoyed the story; I thought Nolan written with a good dose of humour - he had a schedule for everything - "Sex, in my limited experience, was highly overrated. In the past, I’d scheduled it in on a regular basis with carefully screened partners" - that was so funny! There is wit, banter, steam, spanking, a little angst (the course of true love hardly ever runs smooth ;) ) and a lot of fun in this story.
An alpha trying to convince his omega that they're fated mates...so hot! Nolan needs control over every aspect of his life and the littlest thing going off course causes him deep anxiety. Under the hands of Grayson, though, he can let go of that control and fly, liberated by all worries and fears. Grayson says that they're fated mates but that's just a myth, everybody knows it, and it's hard to believe that he's the one,of all people, that the fates have chosen to offer such a gift to. Reading this book was so much fun, because Grayson is shrewd, armed with patience and a strong plan for putting down Nolan's defenses. They're both so sweet in their overwhelming need for each other and they've grown to be so dear to me. Make Me Let Go is funny, intense, touching and boiling hot. Breathtaking connection, irresistible characters...I loved it!

This second OCC romance gives us Nolan and Gray. I loved the sweet, neurotic, perfectionist that is Nolan in book one, and enjoyed seeing him shine when paired with Gray. Not that he doesn't flounder at first, but he's just so darned adorable while he's trying to figure things out. Gray is the very definition of the strong, dependable alpha, and we get the delicious older man angle to sweeten the pot. This romance certainly takes a twisty path on its way to a happy ever after, so there is some angst, and I have to say that I loved the way it was handled. While this one can easily be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading the series in order. It's full of wonderful characters, witty dialogue, silly situations, scorching hot steamy goodness, and sweet romance. Nolan and Gray are a terrific couple, and I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us next.
I really enjoyed reading this sweet, emotional non-shifter Mpreg romance & it is the second book in the “Omega Celibacy Club” it can be read as a standalone but there are some character crossovers from the previous book. The story-line is intriguing & well written with an entertaining plot. The characters are well-developed & delightfully interesting. There is: a calm & controlled omega (Nolan) craving a stable predictable future is dismayed when he finds himself falling for his professor, a older professor & alpha (Grey) discovers that Nolan is his fated mate & all he has to do is convince Nolan - well that’s easier said than done, some twists, drama, humor, mild BDSM, spanking, a forbidden relationship, misunderstandings, determination, jealousy, insecurities, surprises, chemistry, romance, love, contentment & a wonderful happy ending.
WOW! Nolan's story was so emotionally charged. In the last book, I thought he was just stand-offish and didn't know what to really think about him, but I am SOOOOOOOO glad I read his story.
The entire book is a study in control...even for me as a reader because I finally had to put it down so I could sleep at least a little last night. Nolan and Gray's story is full of all the best parts of a romance...a swoony alpha, a love so real you can feel it as you read, and tragedies matched with joys.
I don't want to give away too much of the story, but I will say that this book is in my top 5 of the year so far. I can't wait to read Emmett's story next!
*** I voluntarily read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ***
It's Nolan's turn to fall and someone is definitely hot for teacher . The calm and completely controlled Omega is finding it hard to deal with his attraction to his professor. This was not part of his plan and Nolan plans EVERYTHING.
Gray's been having students throw themselves at him for years. It isn't until he sees Nolan in his classroom that he's ever been tempted to go down that path. With both studiously avoiding the other, it isn't until the end of the semester that the two find themselves in close quarters alone. Neither can avoid the other any longer. Another one bites the dust in the Omega Celibacy Club.
Shy Emmett is up next and I look forward to watching him fall.
Book two of the OCC series is a rollercoaster of emotions. Nolan is a Omega who in his eyes, is failing a course in the mythology of fated mates by getting an A- but then he only taking the course because of Professor Hottie. Gray is that professor who has kept his distance from Nolan as he is a temptation, but class is over and the final grades are posted. This is full of sweet emotions, as these two characters find away to mesh what they feel, when one thinks logically and the other knows. I loved this book and the ending aww it is a bit kinkier than the first, but is still swoon worthy. Highly recommended.
This book picks up about half way through the first book, but this time from Nolan and Gray's point of views. If you read the first book you know that Nolan will take on his cookie making skills to entice Gray. But this story starts before that and brings a little more understanding behind Nolan's OCD ways. He is just too orderable in his quirkiness to not love. And then you have Gray. The caring alpha who wants to be their for his omega. I love how his background is mixed with mythology and introduced with science. The added twist to the OCC is especially nice... you just have to read to find out.
This was a nice continuation of this series. Nolan seems a bit stuck up in the last book but we do get the opportunity to know him a little better in this and I like that he lets go for Gray but the fact that he NEVER talks to any of his roommates about what is going on bus me more than I would like to admit. I loved Gray’s all in attitude, he knows that Nolan is his and once Nolan can accept what is happening they just keep going.
I hurt for Nolan and Gray when they found out they weren’t having their own child but was so happy that they knew they could accept a baby into their family and Jamie was instrumental in starting their family.
I received an ARC of this book and am giving an honest review.
