Thirty days was plenty to make him fall in love...

Twenty-three-year-old Primrose Amberly just landed the job of her dreams—with Virago, a leading women’s romance blog. All the knowledge she had about sex, she’d learned by reading their articles. And anyone who knew her would laugh if they found out what her first assignment was. Even she did…before curling into a sopping mess on the floor.

She had one month to turn a player into a stayer. To make New York’s swooniest playboy fall in love with her enough to retire his pick-up lines. With a rap sheet of broken hearts a mile long, Grayson Pierce and his panty melting smile have been featured on the covers of countless magazines. He was also direct competition, an employee of Virago’s rival blog.

A story on the illustrious bachelor was a prize piece. A headline that would shake the social media masses and ignite her name in the blogosphere. But there was one tiny problem—Primrose was a virgin. Had barely even been kissed. Forget thirty days. She couldn’t nail this story in thirty years, especially if she wanted to keep her virtue intact. Could she?

4.5 Serendipity stars!!!

”Serendipity.” My face screwed up. “Huh?” Her cheeks were smudged with color again. “If we’re meant to see each other again, we will. You know… like the movie? It’s my all-time favorite. Have you seen it?”

Omggg this was such a sweet romance !!! Everything about this book was amazing, from the witty dialogue to the a-dork-able heroine and the swoon worthy hero. This author was a first for me, and now I am a fan. Definitely going to check out her other books. I normally like my very very dramatic books but Virginal Headlines was a pleasant surprise!! A bit light on the drama but it worked really well with this book. Oh and this book referenced Serendipity , one of my all time favorite romcom movies!! 😁

Twenty-three year old journalist, Primrose Amberly, bumps into reformed-manwhore Grayson Pierce (24) and it’s a start to what they never knew they needed. Prim is different to every other girl Grayson has ever met. And she intrigues him. He finds himself constantly thinking about her. And Prim, well she needs to score a juicy story on this notorious bachelor in order to elevate her career. There’s just one problem.... Grayson isn’t who she thought he was and it’s becoming harder to not fall for him.

Grayson is just what every girl needs. He’s kind, supportive, funny and he’s hella hot. He’s not like most heroes, who fight their feelings. He accepts them. And I love how slow he went with their relationship, he wanted to make sure Prim was ready for sex. Her pleasure was his goal. Always.
And Prim.. Lover of books and lizards. Geek to my core. Fearful of the human species .. was such a lovable character.

Overall this was a spectacular read and it was like I was watching a romcom movie. Even read it underneath the table in lectures🙈..

”Meeting you has been the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

Hero rating: 5 stars
Heroine rating: 4.5 stars
Writing/creativity/plot: 4.5 stars
Sex scenes: 4 stars
Ending: 4 stars

Overall: 4.5 stars !!

4.5 “Serendipitous” Stars

Virginal Headlines reminded me a lot of ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ It was fun, flirty and sweet. With two bloggers working for rival blogs. A light fast-paced read, but it also had a few deeper undertones that kept the story interesting. A very enjoyable read that had me breezing through the book.

Primrose “Prim” has recently moved to NY to fulfill her dreams in becoming a journalist. She sorta kinda landed a job at Virago, a blog, and her first assignment in trying to secure a permanent position is making a “player” become a stayer and she has thirty days to do it. But it won’t be an easy feat. For one, she’s inexperienced and two, once she starts getting close to Grayson the guilt starts to build and her article becomes harder and harder to write.

Grayson is a serial dater. Love and relationships are not part of his DNA. But when he accidentally bumps into Prim, and from the moment he sees her, he knows she’s different. There’s just something about her and it has him wanting to get to know her. She slowly makes him realize that a relationship and love might just be for him.

As Prim and Grayson get to know each other, Prim realizes that the stuff that is written in the tabloids about him aren’t exactly true. They paint Grayson is a bad light, but underneath there is so much more to him. Which makes it difficult for Prim and the article she has to write about Grayson. Can she put her feelings aside and focus on the career she’s wanted for a long time? And will Prim and Grayson be able to survive the fallout?

Virginal Headlines brought the laughs as well as the swoony moments. Opposites really do attract in this romance. Pure entertainment and fun. With a set of characters I quite enjoyed, especially the secondary characters. I can’t wait for more of this series and find out more about Poppy and Fin, I neeeeeed.

Love Between the Headlines - Book 1

Yes!! A new series by Candace Knoebel! I fell in love with her writing with the Risky Hearts Duet and been waiting patiently to see what's next!

This story of Primrose and Grayson is just brilliant! It is everything a good romance should be.  It checks off all the boxes for me.  It has heart, humor, some kick-a$$ best friends and oh the smexiness! I was swooning all over the place.

I loved the play with serendipity! It brought almost a magical touch to the story.

Primrose is my spirit animal! Her social phobias were realistic and believable and I could totally empathize with her.

Grayson is everything you want in a hero! I could feel his pain and the also empathized with his lack of privacy and when he found something real, he went after it with both hands and his heart!

I also enjoyed the mention of places in her previous books, it was like a tip of her hat to her readers!  Now I know there may be more mentions then what I noticed, and I have her previous stories on my TBR so I may to be able to pick up more mentions when I re-read this in the future!

You can't go wrong with a story from Candace Knoebel story and I cannot wait for Poppy and Fin's story....oh and maybe even Quinn and Harrison in our future?!?

If you want sweet and swoony without angst and quick conflict resolution, this is for you. I needed more from the characters, specifically angst and tension. For a reformed player, Grayson was too much of the opposite of his former days that it wasn’t believable and made him seem somewhat boring. As for Prim, she played her role well but there were times where she channeled a side of her that I wasn't sure was believable for her situation. It was just too sweet and easy for me, to the point where I wasn't enthused about the couple getting their desired outcome because it was rather anticlimactic even if they felt like they were in new territory or pushing boundaries.

Virginal Headlines was the first book that I have read by Candace Knoebel. It was amazing! This is one of those books that read like an amazing romantic comedy… who remembers The Ugly Truth? No, no… this isn’t the same storyline… what it is though is the same fun and wittiness, the lightness. I really was smitten with Grayson super quickly. I love me a good changed man and Grayson has changed from a sex-crazed manwhore to this good-natured fun man. Virginal Headlines is one of the sweetest books I’ve read in a while.

Prim and Grayson are just perfect together. They wit and fun banter between them that was hilarious and fun. Prim was so relatable. She’s my girl with her social fears and awkwardness… and here she is a reporter. She’s such a conundrum. Grayson is seriously the best! He might have been a playboy who’s enjoyed jumping from bed to bed and woman to woman… that’s all in the past. Prim has a way of making him rethink his actions and wanting to be better. Grayson’s consideration is incredibly attractive. I just adored him!

I was ticked with Candace Knoebel’s writing. She’s fun and creative. She developed her characters deeply… even those secondary ones that I’m hoping we’ll find out more about soon! Her storyline was light in the drama but made me feel all goofy happy inside. I adored the movie references throughout and could see this book easily being turned into a romantic comedy itself.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 STARS

What a great book to start off this series! Virginal Headlines, is Book 1 in the Love Between the Headlines Series by Candace Knoebel. This is the first book I’ve had the pleasure of reading from this author. Primrose and Grayson were so cute together. When I first started this book it was reminiscent to the movie of How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, which is not a bad thing as I loved that movie!

Grayson is well known as many things, but deep down he is such a great guy and Prim recognizes that.

“...New York’s notorious player, America’s heartthrob. The bad boy every girl loved to hate but still wanted to date. Heir to a football dynasty. Record holder for most models dated.”

“I was a goner for her, and for the first time in my life, I felt whole.”

Primrose is innocence personified. Even her name embodies it with the Prim like “prim and proper” and Rose, “as delicate as a flower”. She may seem dewy-eyed but she is fierce when it comes to her friendships and what she believes in.

“...“When it came to friendship, I defended it like a knight defended a king. Poppy might have been a lot of things, but deep down in her core, she was the purest soul I’d ever met, and I’d have her back through anything.”

Candace did a great job of introducing many secondary characters that I hope will eventually have their own book. I can’t wait to read about Finley and Poppy. I did enjoy all the cute references sprinkled throughout the book like “levelling up” and “Serendipity”. This book is a MUST read! I’d like to thank the author and Social Butterfly PR for kindly providing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Virginal Headlines by Candace Knoebel will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ELITE!!!

Pure cuteness and serendipity.

Obviously, the premise lured me in, and then the inviting and lively writing style completely captivated me.

What's more, it has a sweet meet-cute, a reformed serial dater, a smart and shy blogger, and a slow-burn romance spiced with wit, a potential deal-breaker, and some seriously scene-grabbing sidekicks.

I just melt for this kind of scenario. Virginal girl with a secret mission to expose a notorious serial dater, but then she falls in love and all hell breaks loose when the secret explodes in her hands.

I loved the author's colourful and creative style, the sweet and serendipitous little entounters as Grayson and Prim slowly fall for each other, the exciting rivaly between the dating blogs Virago and Stud, the inner war of Prim's doubts about honesty and ambition. It's a good point too that she's a lover of books, shy but brave, and he's got family issues which give him depth.

To me, the middle of the story dragged a bit, and the authenticity of the romance swayed a little because of the female character's lies. After all, he has feelings for someone who is not what he thinks. I felt somewhat disconnected until the final part when the plot and the bonding soared again with great chemistry, passion and sweet feelings in the couple's relationship.

It has all the heartbreak and heart-mending necessary to grant satisfaction and sigh contentedly. The next couple is also geared towards their own media-crazy plot. I think those social blogs are running on fun fuel :-D

Can you make a player a stayer? That’s the challenge set by Candace Knoebel’s Virginal Headlines—and a pretty big challenge when the man is hot, rich, and one of the most sought after players in New York. Women are lined up for a chance at Grayson Pierce, and I’m not ashamed to admit I’d be one of them 😍😍!!

Primrose Amberly lands the career she’s dreamed of ever since moving to New York—working for Virago, a romance blog where she’s learned everything there is to know about sex and love. But there’s a catch . . . Her first assignment: she has thirty days to turn the notorious Grayson into a one-woman man and fall in love with her!!

Grayson has the world at his feet—a successful career, that delicious smile, and a body to die for. No wonder he’s left a trail of broken hearts in his wake. He’s more than meets the eye, though, and behind those heart-stopping good looks is a man that I fell hard for. Ahh!! #NewBookBoyfriend

“You’re exactly the kind of person I need in my life, Primrose Amberly. But if you need time to see that, well then, I can wait, because there’s no doubt in my mind I’ll see you again.”

#Swoon

In Virginal Headlines, we get both Prim + Grayson’s POVs, and let me tell you, I completely fell head-over-heels for them. With lots of laugh-out-loud moments and plenty of sexy times, Ms. Knoebel delivered a romcom of delicious proportion. I can’t wait for more from the Love Between The Headlines series!!

Goodness. It was actually longer than I thought it would be BUT ended how I hoped. This author is super new to me and I couldn’t have been more excited to read this story. ALTHOUGH... my stomach was in knots and I just had this awful gut feeling.

Primrose, just her freaking name is amazing. It just screams innocence. She took me by surprise and made some decisions I didn’t agree with but at the same time understood those decisions. Just starting out in your career that not only puts you at a disadvantage but the innocent look and unknown have things falling apart even before they start.

Grayson is a serial dater and the ultimate player who never thought his heart would get involved, until her. So much hurt in his past put walls up around him to keep everyone out and it almost worked.

This wasn’t a normal read for me since I dislike all the lying and deceit. My gut awful feeling came to life when I hit my wall of emotions with this book. I couldn’t take it and it took so much to just keep reading. I love angst and suspense but this type I don’t like the huge build up. It just made me want to ball up in a huge ball and cry for days. Too much!! But not enough too... what a great read!! Congrats!

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Candace Knoebel for this opportunity. I loved this book it was so light and cute, perfect to read after a dark romance! I really liked this storyline and book, it was giving me the tiniest vibes from How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days( which is one of my favorite movies!) This book was funny, a relatively easy read and of course had great romance in it. I love Primrose (Prim) she was a very relatable character, probably the most relatable out of all the Candance’s characters. I loved reading about her interactions at work and with Grayson. Grayson was the “playboy” turned good. He was cute with Prim and it was funny seeing him really try to be a “reform” guy. I loved the side characters, they made the book so fun to read and they make interactions better when there is more characters involved in the story. I absolutely loved Poppy, she was so funny and definitely my favorite side character.

This reminded me a lot of How to Lose a Guy in 10 days with a little bit of Serendipity if it had a book baby.

Both bloggers for rival companies, Greyson and Primrose’s characters had great chemistry and the secondary characters were a crack up. I am definitely looking forwards to some of their books. I loved how Greyson was an extrovert and Prim was the opposite as an introvert. But regardless they were good together. Opposites totally attract between the two.

It has all the makings of a cute romcom. Hot guy with commitment issues and sweet innocent girl hiding in the shadows. Candace kept me entertained throughout the entire book.

Whenever I read a book that involves some kind of deceit, I stay anxious during the book, waiting for the moment of truth and the heartbreak it causes on one of the characters. In this case, Prim is hiding something from Grayson and I spent almost the whole book in a state of expectation for the bomb blast. To be truthful, it was a benign explosion.

Prim is a 23 y/o virgin, newly arrived to New York City, hoping to be a journalist. Grayson has been the butt of scandals since he was a teenager. His father is notorious for his multiple marriages and affairs, and young Grayson retaliated by being a serial dater. His face graces the front of magazines and bus side advertisements, everyone knows of him and all the women in NYC want to be the one to reform this notorious bad boy.

When Prim arrives to the facilities of Virago, a blog publication, she has no qualifications for a position, no references, and a total virginal, innocent look. Her only ammo was a business card with Grayson’s personal mobile number. This got her a provisional job, depending on her nailing the bad boy.

Poor Grayson doesn’t know what hit him. He was mesmerized by Prim from the moment he knocked into her and broke her Kindle. He couldn’t stop thinking about the girl who looked so innocent and pure and different from all he had known. When she called to accept his offer of a Kindle replacement, it was systems go for Grayson.

Together, they realized they found what they needed but didn’t know they needed in each other. Grayson found redemption, Prim found a man who understood her and accepted, queer quirks and all. Too bad there was a deception going on.

The book was entertaining, suspenseful and had a slow burning foreplay of sexy times. I loved how Grayson was revealed as something much different and much better than the playboy the press portrayed him as. Prim was very much the naive girl from the country, mistaken and clueless. It was a clusterfreak in the making and kept me glued waiting for the ax to fall. The author was more wordy than I liked, but I liked the story and the characters. I did get a little impatient with Prim for her wrong decisions and how she kept justifying her actions. For an intelligent girl, she really missed the bus. Side characters were great, such as Quinn, owner of Virago, who has a vendetta against Harrison, owner of Stud, and Grayson’s boss. Then there’s also Poppy, Prim’s new bestie, and Finley, Grayson’s best friend. Incidentally, Poppy and Finley used to be an item, there’s unfinished business between them and we’ll have the pleasure to read their story in the next installment.

This was a really fun and entertaining read :) It has bits of everything, and that's what makes it so 'complete' and also satisfying. The entire time I was reading it, there was a wide smile gracing my face, but I was also anxious and curious to know what happens next.
Coming to the story, it was fresh and real, very relatable at a pace that was easy to follow. The storyline, though kind of predictable was not boring and every scene had something new and delightful to offer. What stood out the most in this book were the characters. Though Primerose and Grayson were the primary characters - the other characters -friends/colleague/Boss were thoroughly enjoyable, adding lot of spice and drama to the main story.
Coming to the actual protagonists - they are an interesting bunch, especially Primerose. Her personality is not something the female leads are these days, and so it was a refreshing change and I totally understand how her charm worked on Greyson. but though she comes off being a quiet person who stays away from the crowd and keeps to herself, she's in no way dumb or naive. Quite the opposite actually and some of her actions took me by surprise and though I get her motive, I still wish she had taken a different route, than weaving a web of lies. Grayson, on the other hand started out a typical flirt with godly looks, but soon his sweet and charismatic side took over and that's when and how he won me over. Now though he came off as a playboy earlier, the way he changed for Prime and all those stuff that he did for her was very swoon-worthy. Together they did make a nice pair and I liked their chemistry (both on and off story)
Also, the back stories were given due merit, and contributed to the story and also gave the required character growth and overall worked with the plot. Even the writing style was quite unique with a lot of quirks form the writer and gelled well with these characters and also created a very distinct picture of the scenes as well as the characters' personality.
Overall this was a fun, engaging read and I look forward to the other three books in the series (especially poppy's and even quinn's, and also the secret poet story - seems unique;)

Virginal Headlines is a fun story about a man and a woman who literally bump into each other then fall in love. Prim is a small town girl that moves to New York to make it as a journalist. She's a little geeky and a little mousy. Her goal is to land a job at Virago, a female blog. Grayson is a bad boy and former model. The press has dogged him for years always trying to make him out to be a serial dater and all around bad boy. Grayson works for Stud, Virago's male counterpart. They seem like they would be a terrible match but sometimes things aren't what they seem to be.

I enjoyed the fact that Prim and Grayson didn't jump into "I love you" and wild sex. They took time to get to know each other. Yes, Prim keeps a major secret from Grayson that could ruin everything but the fact that they know each when the crap hits the fan means that they have the capacity to think the situation through and decide work it out. I enjoyed them getting to know each other. I enjoyed them having time apart where they were dealing with coworkers, family and friends.

What I didn't enjoy was that Grayson was perfect. Like perfect in every way for Prim. He'd be a lot to live with forever. Given his broken relationship with his family I would have thought he'd be in counseling or something. I also felt like the addition of Grayson's father was incomplete. I don't know how the author could have made that subplot more but it felt incomplete to me. And I really don't understand why anyone would put up with Quinn, the boss at Virago. She crosses the line to such a huge degree that I was thinking the characters would sue her. She is truly horrible.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a lighthearted, contemporary romance. If you like your heroines a little geeky but with some backbone then Prim is the girl for you!

Quotes:
"And if that isn't enough to goad your morally pure heart," she continued, "then think on this-Grayson isn't an angel. We've all read the tabloids. He's a player. Giving him a taste of his own medicine might be good for him." loc 482

"What?" she said with a small shrug. "You are, though. Look at you. Those big innocent eyes of yours. You scream inexperience."

Virginal Headlines was an absolute delight to read. Between my lunch break at work and reading before bed, I devoured this book in a single day.

A chance encounter with New York City's renowned playboy gives fledgling journalist Prim an inside edge in scoring the blogger position she's desperate for. All she has to do is turn player Greyson into a stayer in 30 days, write an article about her how-to, and the permanent position is hers. Except the more she gets to know Greyson.... we all know how this tale goes.... the more she realizes that she really, really likes him. And the guilt sets in.

Greyson has a reputation of his own making, but the poor guy is kind of damaged. He's been used by friends and lovers, and keeps himself rather guarded with Prim at first. But there is something so easy about conversing with her, that he soon finds himself wanting to open up more and more for the first time in as long as he can remember. He feels full again. Like he can laugh and smile again. But will Prim's betrayal ruin any chance that the couple has at true happiness?

I loved these characters. Even though Prim had a bet of sorts in place with her co-workers when it came to dating Greyson, their connection jumped off the page, and their relationship was easy and didn't seem forced. The "perfect date" that Greyson puts together for Prim is absolutely swoon-worthy! The guy was like the perfect boyfriend. I really enjoyed that the script was flipped, so to speak, in this story where the heroine is the one with the bet in place, and it's not the hero who destroys the innocent, trusting woman. Greyson is totally the injured party here, and that made me love him even more.

The secondary cast of characters are crazy and intriguing, and left me wanting more from them, without taking away from Prim and Greyson. I really hope that the epilogue is the set-up for Fin and Poppy's story, because I need to know what happened there! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

4 Can a Player Really Change Stars!!!

What an introduction to a new to me author! This is my first book by Ms. Knoebel and it’s the start of a new series. Ms. Knoebel has given us a book that is fun, sassy, quirky and just the right amount of deception. What starts as an assignment for the very innocent Prim turns into so much more when she gets to know the man beneath the surface that is Grayson.

Prim is new to the big bad city of New York and while she’s the least qualified for a job it’s her lucky day because Virago, a very popular blog has a job for her…seduce and change the womanizing Grayson Pierce into a one woman man and writing an article about it! You think it sounds easy…but not so much when we’re talking about two people that are polar opposites in their life experiences….and so the fun begins.

I loved how Grayson began to appreciate and fall for Prim. She’s so innocent and that’s so refreshing in his world. His falling for her was a true slow-burn and while he’s falling for her, Prim is having an affect on Grayson that truly shows that there’s so much below the surface. He’s not the callous, egotistical man he presents to the world. Don’t’ get me wrong, he can be an A$$ sometimes, but watching him evolve into the man he is at the end of the books was marvelous!!!

Ms. Knoebel has written a book that’s very detail oriented, has great secondary characters, and a H/h that I absolutely fell in love with, quirks and all!! I’m so excited for Poppy and Fin’s story!!

Candace Knoebel launches a new series with a surprising light story line centered on a young woman breaking into the world of blogging journalism all while finding love. Fate brings Primrose Amberly and Grayson Pierce together in a "meet-cute" that promises major interruptions to the norms in both of their lives.

Primrose is utterly delightful. She seems to be relatively naive, but she's a quick thinker and boldly proclaims that she's up for writing a story about "turning a player into a stayer". Having made the acquaintance of one of the notorious playboy in Grayson, she accepts the writing assignment without a true plan. But she's been fortunate to make friends with a new co-worker, Poppy who takes her under her wings and shows her the ropes. The story is sweet but balanced with some major heat as the dates pile up.

This was a fun read that had me rooting hard for a Prim and Grayson union. Grayson is slightly jaded by the philandering ways of his father, but he is charming and taken by Prim's sweet nature. She exactly the right girl for him. It was a joy to get to know these characters and I'm excited by the set up of the series, the battle between the competing blogs (Stud and Virago). I love the notion of serendipity and how Candace weaves that into the take and tips her hat to 2001 movie. 4 stars and recommendation.

I've never been disappointed by anything I've read by Candace Knoebel, and Virginal Headlines is no exception. Every once in a while I really crave reading a good romance and this one was perfect. The writing flowed beautifully and before I knew it I was halfway into the book and couldn't wait to finish. The writing made it easy to fall in love with the characters. I quickly found myself rooting for Prim and Grayson but not only them but their respective best friends, Poppy and Finley, too. I'm hoping we get to see more of their story soon. I even found myself wanting to see more of their crazy bosses. I know a book is exceptional when I find myself wishing I could hang out with all of the characters. All in all, if you're looking to fall in love with all the characters in your next romantic read then this one is definitely for you.
One of the things I loved the most about Virginal Headlines is the story. Too many romances are just filled with fluffy, sexy bits and no story. I couldn't wait to see how this would play out for everyone involved. And there were enough sweetly romantic moments and yes...sexy bits to keep me reading on. There was something for everyone and I couldn't recommend this enough to anyone looking a fun romance as their next read.

Virginal Headlines by Candace Knoebel
“Will they be the next big headline? 4 stars”

Grayson is used to being in the public eye and being in the headlines. He’s used to people gawking. What he’s not used to is women like Prim. She’s sweet and doesn’t try and use him for his status. He never thought he was going to settle down, but dang does she make him want to try.
Prim is just a small-town girl trying to make it in the big bad city. She never planned on using Grayson but you do what you gotta do to get the job. This virgin didn’t expect to fall for the playboy, but here she is doing just that. But Grayson is different with her. Will they be able to prove everyone wrong or will they make the headlines? Only one way to find out.
Virginal headlines was cute. The Chemistry was there from the start. I loved how Prim was an introvert and Grayson was an extrovert but understood her. He truly wanted what was best for her and put her first. I wanted to not like Prim but I did. With all the positive said for some reason I just couldn’t fall completely into the story. I truly think that’s just me though and hope you give Virginal Headlines a chance.

Virginal Headlines by Candace Knoebel is the first in a new series, ‘Love Between The Headlines’. It’s also my first book by this author and while it was funny in places, there was a serious side to it as well, from Grayson’s past.
Prim is just starting out in her new job and met Grayson accidentally that same day. He’s a serial player and it’s Prim’s job to change him, all in the name of work. Or so it is meant to be. But these two are drawn together and even though Grayson has never dated anyone more than once, with Prim he wants more.
He has his hands full trying to convince her he’s for real. But, what will he do when he finds out what she’s really up to? Can Prim keep her own feelings in check?
This was a fun story, the main characters were the perfect foil for each other. Then there were the secondary characters, from the warring bosses out Prim and Grayson, to their quarrelling best friends.
I wonder what will the next book in the series have in store for us?

Prim has recently moved to NY to fulfill her dreams of becoming a journalist. She manages to get a job at Virago, a blog, with the provision that she will be able to curb Grayson’s playboy ways within 30 days. She is feeling out of depth and in over her head as the only experience she has had with men is through her kindle.

Grayson has a reputation with the ladies and from what he has seen love and relationships are not part of his DNA. From the moment he meets Prim he knows she is different, and she has him reconsidering that rule. As they get to know each other Prim realizes that he is much more than his reputation and he is enchanted by her quirks, but no secret remains that way forever and when all is said and done will they be able to survive the fallout?

This was a great start to a new series, and I am crossing my fingers that the secondary characters get their own story as well.

4 Headlines Stars

This story is very lively and fun to read. I like the fact that it is two rival bloggers working for the other side. It was a light read for me but the beginning did feel a bit too slow for my liking. I struggled to get into it at first but after a few chapters I connected with it better and I really did enjoy it.

Prim is one of my favourite characters because her aim of achieving a dream is the same as everyone else. I love how this story tests her ambition and her morals. Will she put her job first or do the right thing for Grayson. This story has a lot of grey areas when it comes to her job and interactions with Grayson.

Grayson is Grayson. I just feel like he’s smart but cocky. I like him and how he sees something in Prim from the beginning. He doesn’t back away from her and she makes him see there’s more to life. She opens his heart to possibilities.

They learn about each other in this book and I enjoyed that because I liked learning about how they are too. It’s a fun and lighthearted read, I am excited to see more from the secondary characters please!

As soon as I read the blurb for Virginal Headlines by Candace Knoebel, I knew I wanted to read it. A twenty-three-year-old virgin set to make a known player into a boyfriend material for her job. Not just any player, but someone who worked for the competition. How was she supposed to change Grayson Pierce’s ways when she herself had hardly ever been kissed?

I loved Primrose. She was sweet, caring and an introvert, though her job made her do things outside her comfort zone. But this was a chance of a lifetime, right? Grayson was a player, but also hid so much. He never thought he would settle down and then he met Prim. But between the lies and deceit, do they even have a chance? Virginal Headlines by Candace Knoebel was both fun and touching story and I am excited to see what is to come in this series.

I was really excited for Virginal Headlines by Candace Knoebel from the moment I read the blurb. It had a ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ vibe and since it’s a movie I love, knew I needed this book and I wasn’t wrong. It was so fun and had so many elements I love in good romance.

I loved how opposite Prim and Grayson are and yet they’re perfect for each other. The story was light and fun, but had a few deeper undertones that kept the story interesting. Their bosses kept it entertaining for sure! Two people who absolutely hate each other made for some fun drama. And the wit, sass, great banter, and humor was on point throughout! Not to mention all the smexy goodness sprinkled in.

Fab characters, flirty dialogue, and fun drama make this a great read. Excited to see where Candace Knoebel takes us in the next book in the series. 4 Stars.

I thought this was a pretty good read. The writing flowed well, and I liked the main characters for the most part. As the way it goes with these types of stories, I really hated the way Prim did Grayson. He was laying his heart on the line for her, and she was using him for personal gain. She does try to change that, but personally I think a conversation with someone you are supposed to love would go a long way. I'm not sure how I felt about Poppy either. She was a good friend when everything hit the fan, but I felt like she was constantly steering Prim in the wrong direction because of her own feelings. The ending between Grayson and Prim was sweet, and the introduction into Poppy and Fin's story was great. I think their story is going to be good.

I was given this ARC as an honest read for an honest review. This is my first time reading Candace Knoebel, let me just say I was wowed!! Once I started reading this story I just couldn't put it down until I was finished!!
This is Grayson and Primrose's story. Promise is a regular introvert who loves reading, her lizard and being by herself. Grayson is the regular serial dater. Then one day they bump into each other and it all begins with her kindle breaking. These two characters are complex and leave it to serendipity to meet up again. Grayson is attracted to Primrose and he's not sure why. Promise is a virgin who is afraid of feelings and the next step. Between them is fireworks!! This story is sweet, angsty, and fast read.

3-3.5 stars!
I started out really liking the storyline and then somewhere after the 50% mark things just sort of went downhill for me. Grayson is the serial dater/the player and Prim is the virgin who vows to tame him in order to get a shot at a job at an online blog. We were chugging along, conflict is brewing, and then suddenly things were resolved and I felt cheated out of tension and their first big fight. Even when the big secret comes out later on everyone was just way too understanding. Possible big angst was reduced to no angst and that just doesn't work for me, I need some sort of conflict so that the characters can grow from it and evolve. I also felt like the characters sort of changed too much from their old ways too soon and it just wasn't believable. They didn't gradual change, they just went from one persona to another. Overall too sweet for me, I need to have the angst!

Such a wonderful and witty romance. My first book by this author and I truly enjoyed it.

Primrose is an introvert. She likes her books and her lizard. She has just landed her dream job at Virago, a women's blog, on a trial basis. Prim has to write an article on how to turn a player into a stayer to prove herself worthy of the job. The player is serial dater Grayson Pierce. Prim sees the real Grayson, not the one the tabloids show. Prim is a-dork-able and Grayson is so swoon worthy.

Prim and Grayson have awesome best friends that added to the story perfectly along with feuding bosses. Serendipity played a big part too. I just loved everything about this story.
