Sarah K. L. Wilson is a USA Today Bestselling author who writes fantasy stories featuring practical heroes & heroines in the most impractical circumstances. She loves writing because it is the only way to make a living and give back to the world when your primary skill is an overactive imagination and a tendency toward violent daydreams. Sarah can be found in the outdoors of Northern Ontario with her young boys and beloved husband, reading a book, or fending off her husband's pet turkeys with a straw broom. You can find Sarah's books in paperback, hardcover, ebook and audiobook and they have also been translated into Italian, German, and (very soon) Turkish. Please, do, enjoy the read!
The situation gets even more heated for Tor and his crew. Will Tor manage to grab a hold onto his new discovered power? What is going to happen when all hell breaks loose and there is no hope to be seen? Will they survive? To find out you have to read Golem Siege
My heart aches for Tor! For someone who didn't want to be hero, heavy responsibility keeps being thrown on him. Not realizing his power is distro beer than even he knows was costly and it weighs heavily on him. It was great to get Hubric and Kyrowat in this story, but I missed Zyla. Hopefully, we'll get to see her in the next book!
Tor and his dragon really have their hands, feet and wings full, to defied millions of the Golems. They just keep coming. will Tor and Bataar succeed? We all hope.
“Revenge..blinds a man..[to] the injustice he [causes]..to get the justice he wanted”.
SETTING: The city is under seige, the women and children are fleeing to the warrens, and the men are fighting the machines. Who is guiding them? Tor must find out. He and Saboraak, exhausted by lack of sleep, food, fly out to discover the answer to this puzzle. What Tor then finds, will bring some aid to the city in the sky, but will also bring more trouble quickly on their heels. CRITIQUE: This episode is action-packed, sitting-on-the-edge-of-your-seat nerve-wracking. Yet, scattered here and there, great truths are illuminated. For example, as Tor contemplates revenge on Eventen for the destruction of the city and its’ innocents, Saboraak gives these words of wisdom to her young rider: “ Revenge is a dangerous emotion. Even revenge with cause. It blinds a man. It rots his heart. He’ll do anything to get it, pay any price. And he’ll never even see the people who suffer on the sidelines. He’ll never see the rut of injustice he cuts through the world, to get the justice he wanted in the first place. The price isn’t worth the prize, Tor.”
Such profound words ring true for all people, in all times. Perhaps we cannot stop all evil by ourselves, but we are well advised as to how to keep away from contributing to it, in dealing with the aftermath of evil actions. As we see the series drawing towards a conclusion with the destruction of this city, we are pulled to the next books to see: how, and by whom the ancient prophecies are fulfilled; will Zyla and Zin have their HEA with their beloved Bataar and Tor; will evil finally (and forever) be conquered by the good? A most excellent series so far, one that informs young and old of what is truly important in life in a life well-lived.
Sarah K. L. Wilson’s Dragon Chameleon series is a wild ride full of fun. I ran through the last three of the books (Golem Siege, Memory of Mountains and Color of Victory) in one massive binge. No surprise really, as these books are so addictive that there’s no way you can simply stop at one. I love Saboraak the dragon as much as I love Tor. Their adventures are pretty spectacular, in books that are perfectly written and filled with wonderful and well-crafted characters. I’m going to miss them but am happy that they got the treatment they deserve. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. Each of books 10 to 12 (and reallly each of the other books in the series) definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that each of these books is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
It's late and I'm too tired to leave a decent review, but here goes. The book started off kind of slow though it quickly picked up pace once the golem army started to move and completley took over the city. You could feel the exhaustian and desperation as Tor desperatley fought to buy everyone enough time to escape and to survive as well because through it all, he won't let himself die. He desperatley clings to what little conciousness he has as he uses his abilities as best he can to stop the golems if only temporarily.
Almost done with the series! Look forward to seeing just what exactly is the extent of Tor's marks and what exactly the golems are. I look forward to seeing the Ibrenicus Prophecies fufilled.
In this book #10 of the series our MC Tor finally starts to emerge as the hero he really is meant to be. The action in this story kept me turning the pages. They all fled one city filled with ghosts to warn the next, but all they can do is to try to offer help to a city on the brink of destruction. I can't wait to start the next in the series. I would recommend this book
The story just keeps getting better (didn't think that was possible!). We're learning more about Tor's abilities, as he learns them himself. He does his best to keep his friends safe, while putting himself in constant danger. Since I read the Dragon School series first, I know that Tor is not your typical dragon rider...but he's such an interesting character and I can't help but like him. His schemes seem to pay off, regardless of how harebrained they are. Loved this book!
Tor faces his greatest challenge and he does it alone. He has sent Saboraak away to help the other dragons. Facing the golems with Bataar he helps the rest of the people in the city escape. This is the darkest of the series and ends in a cliffhanger. Let me tell you it was edge of the seat reading. Reading the next right now to see what happens next.
golems over taking the city and Having sent everyone away to escape the horde of golems, Bataar and tor catch a ride on a golum after seeing Apeq reanimate the frozen golums.
Sarah just keeps throwing surprises at you and definite cliff hangers. Fortunately, this arc is complete. Awesome storyline about the reluctant hero who is just doing what he thinks needs to be done.
You know how it feels to curl up with your favorite book and block out the real world around you- so let this author's books become your new favorites. I have.
Sarah writes a wonderful fantasy with dragons and gives her characters so much development, they feel like real people. Love the main character is the thief they caught and ended up helping them in the end. Love how he has to fight and wins in the end.
Must read can't put it down and I'm dying to read the 12th book but have to wait 6 days. Lol 😂 just have to know that tor and his beautiful dragon 🐲 are ok 👌
I really enjoyed reading this novella. It's a quicker read for those that are a bit pressed on time, and if you enjoy YA fantasy with dragons and plenty of adventure, you need to read this series.
Dragon Chameleon: Golem Siege is book ten in this wonderful, action packed series. Tor and Saboraak are in the middle of a battle they do not know how to win. Tor is only just beginning to realise that he has some control but not how or why. As things get increasingly desperate the cliffhanger ending leaves you wanting more. A brilliant book and brilliant series but these books definitely need to be read in order. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I’m looking foreword to reading the last book of this series. I have been intrulled by the whole series. I read the Dragon School first. I love this author very much. Thanks for a great story line.

I love these books with Tor and Saboraak, they are well written and the characters are so believable. It seems like every time Tor gets out of one bind he finds himself in a totally new one that makes the previous situation seem like a piece of cake. I can not wait to read the next book. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book
Tor continues to amaze me. His courage is truly inspiring and you find yourself willing him to succeed. Never before have I been drawn into a story this way. It’s so intense, it’s beautiful.
I was reading another book in between the last installment and this one, well, more books actually, but I kept thinking about Tor and Saboraak’s adventures. So I was happy to dive back in.
The situation is serious. VERY serious. Battling golems is not easy. Tor is always saying he’s no hero and now he’s saying he’s no leader, but that is exactly what he needs to be. But he is just sooo tired!
It got crazy suspenseful. This episode was tainted blood red. The despair was tangible. And now I can’t wait for more.
I must admit, this episode made my head spin a bit. The battle is in full action and Tor is exhausted after acting like the hero he never wanted to be. But what can a young man do when it seems you're the only one with a special gift that might just win the fight? There are so many golems that I had my difficulties to imagine all of them, or maybe I just felt Tor's sleep deprivation and his mush head... And a really mean cliffhanger tipped me over....
What an adventure this is becoming. The golems are everywhere, nothing seems to stop them. They are swarming the city. Then Tor discovers an ability he did not know he had, will it be enough though. Grab your copy, curl up in your favourite reading book, with your favourite beverage and lose yourself. Highly recommend.
Tor has a lot going on, and comes upon an unexpected surprise. Then he discovery something that just may save them all, but can he get it all figured out in time? I am so not ready for this series to end, but I can't wait for the next one either.
