This book is about the friendship of Jack and Stanley and playing nicely together. Jack had a new bike and was racing it up and down the street. Stanley went outside and asked if he could have a turn but was rather upset when Jack refused. Seeing his grandson upset, Grandpa had an idea that would cheer Stanley up. However, Jack felt left out and wanted to join in the fun but had not been very kind to Stanley.

I think this is a good book for children as it is all about moral values and doing the right thing even if you may want to treat someone badly because they have treated you badly. The entire page is filled with a picture, giving the children a visual whilst listening to the story. I think this would be a good way to introduce rules and moral values in an early years setting. Instead of simply telling the children about moral values, they may understand it better in the context of a story. I would certainly use this in the classroom and think that the appropriate age for this story would be around 3-5 years.

This book is about a boy called Stanley whose friend Jack does not let him play on his bike. So Stanley’s grandpa takes him to the shed and he gets old boxes out and builds a go-kart. What happens now is that whether Stanley will let his friend Jack has a go on his go-kart or will he be selfish like Jack.

A great book which keeps the children engaged with lots of pictures to talk about and it teaches children about how to share things. A book that is perfect for early years practice.

This is about Stanley he is jealous of Jack's new bike but Jack won't let him ride onit. This is a great book to teach about forgiveness because even after Jack said no to Stanley riding his bike. Stanley made his own go cart and allowed Jack to ride on it. I would love to use this book in my classroom library.
