Meet Brady Hawk.
Former Navy Seal. Former Peace Corps worker. Current blacks ops assasin.

To those with the highest security clearance, it’s a line item known only as Project X. But to the half dozen agents and personnel working for it, it’s known as Firestorm, a black ops group so dark that the U.S. President doesn’t even know about them yet. And no agent is as skilled as Brady Hawk.

FIRST STRIKE, Book 1 :: Amid the smoldering ashes of another terrorist attack on U.S. interests in Iraq, Hawk searches for Nasim Ghazi, the chief bomb maker for the terrorist group Al Hasib. However, Hawk’s mission is almost cut short when he’s nearly killed by an assassin.

Haunted by his harrowing escape, Hawk must quietly navigate through Iraq and Afghanistan to hunt down Ghazi before he strikes again. As he and his Washington-based handler Alex Duncan try to solve the mystery of his assassin, Hawk struggles with the revelation that his father, the world’s most renowned weapons manufacturer, may not be who he thinks he is.

In a world where nothing is as it seems, Hawk must stay focused in order to put down another threat before it's too late ... both himself as his country.

DEEP COVER, Book 2 :: Deep in the jungles of Sierra Leone, Sefadu Holdings is making a mint by funneling diamonds to Al Hasib in order to fund its terrorist operation. However, when the secret black ops group Firestorm learns about it, Hawk is dispatched to squash the illegal dealings.

While Hawk is battling nefarious forces abroad, his handler Alex Duncan is dealing with her own issues, including making sure that Firestorm director J.D. Blunt is safe from an attack on his life.

As Hawk goes deep under cover, he must figure out a way to stop Al Hasib from getting the diamonds while Duncan fights for her life and the black ops program she believes in.

But when everything starts to unravel, Hawk must find a way to keep it together on both continents or risk losing everything.

POINT OF IMPACT, Book 3 :: When Brady Hawk learns about a sinister plot that Al Hasib has constructed to infiltrate the U.S., it’s only a matter of time before the sleeper cell they’ve planted springs to live and brings death and destruction to U.S. soil.

But Hawk, who’s still reeling from the loss of a person important to him, must forge ahead and put the past behind him.

However, Hawk’s plans to neutralize the threat goes awry amidst a turf struggle between the FBI and the CIA—and he must figure out a way to bring peace while apprehending the threat before millions of innocent lives are lost.

Can he emerge victorious in keeping Americans save from the threat of ruthless terrorists who care nothing about the sanctity of life?

Grab this box set of the first three books in the Brady Hawk series. You won’t be disappointed. Fans of Vince Flynn, David Baldacci, and Brad Taylor are loving this new action thriller series!

I enjoyed this non stop action adventure and what's even better with this three book box set it doesn't have to end. I don't normally like box set but if I do have one to listen to I break the books up and listen to something different inbetween, so I don't get the stories confused or get through them to quickly. But that wasn't the case with this set as the books didn't exactly end on a cliff hanger but I wanted to see what the author has in store for the characters next. Each book is told by multiple characters as the story unfolds but this works well as you know what both sides are up to. There is plenty of action to keep each book interesting and with all good spy books you are never sure who to trust, or who the good guys are (other than the main character Hawk and his computer analyst Alex). Off to start the next box set.
FIRST STRIKE, Book 1. I enjoyed this book and before it ended I was getting the next box set but I think this was the weakest book in the set because it just came to an end and I got confused with all the foreign name whether Hawk got his man.
Hawk a former Navy seal and former Peace Corps worker is now working for firestorm a government black ops group run by Senator Blunt. Hawk, with the aid of his computer analyst or handler Alex, is on the the trail of Ghazi, the chief bomb maker for the terrorist group Al Hasib in the hopes of stopping him before he can set off another attack. But Hawk is betrayed and must find his own way out of a hostile country. Back at home things aren't much better and someone is making plays to take down firestorm. Can Alex get Hawk back home or is he on his own?
DEEP COVER, Book 2 This was my favourite book as I really liked the story line and characters in this one.
Hawk is going under cover on a safari hunt in order to get close to the man that owns a diamond mine that he is using to help fund terrorist and could be the possible owner of a stolen nuclear weapon. With time running out and a collapse in the mind is Hawk about to become the hunted? Back home Alex and the Senator are once again the focus of a group trying to take firestorm down.
POINT OF IMPACT, Book 3
After the big shame up in the firestorm organisation things are back to normal but this time things get personal for Hawk when a sleeper cell for Al Hasib sets it sights on a US target. An ex girlfriend's father gets killer in a boating accident but Hawk doesn't believe it. Then firestorm receives word that the man Hawk believed was his father is a target. Hawk is to late to stop him from getting kidnapped but will be be to late to stop a bomb going off? Or to rescue him?
I liked the narrator, he did some good accents throughout the three books. I especially like his New Zealand accent in book two.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

First Strike
Espionage in the Middle East, with one very competent spy and his handler.

Deep Cover
The recovery and provention of diamonds being passed to the extreme terrorist, who required the gems to fund their reign of terror, as well as the recovery of 4 missles, which had been also fallen into the wrong hands, were the current mission for our duo of Brady Hawk and Handler Alex.
Hawk shows his humane side, with solutions to more than his assigned missions.

Point of Impact
An attempt to murder thousands of Americans, on home soil is again thwarted by the combination of Hawk and handler Alex. The story unravels so much more than this final achievement, and needs to be read, or listened to, to understand the full story line.

I enjoyed the audio rendition of these fantastic novels. The narrator's take on the characters voices, adds another aspect to a very entertaining read.
I love the freedom audiobooks give me to read and also carry out mundane tasks, at the same time.

My husband and I listened to this set while traveling. It is a little over the top. But, we enjoyed them. Brady Hawk is an ex-navy seal ( are you ever ex military?) that has gone to work for J.D. Blunt, a US senator and Firestorm, , a black ops group. His handler, Alex Duncan, is an ex-Peace Corp worker with wicked computer skills.

A terrorist group, Al Hasib, is planning attacks on U.S. soil. Their mission to prevent it.

The action was continuous but easily placed on hold in heavy traffic or city driving. We were able to pick up without losing continuity of the stories.

We recommend these books, especially on audio. They kept us from being bored on long stretches of deserted road.

This is a Series Review books 1-3

These three books were my introduction to The “ Brady Hawk” series and I’m hiving the 3 books a rating of 4-Stars. Granted one of them is a 5-Star read but then you’ll have to determine which one.

I like reading series books in order. I’ve found I enjoy them best that way though each of these could be read as a standalone I believe the order is important. Don’t worry none of them are cliffhangers.

Before I move on to Box Set #2, books 4-7 let me HIGHLY RECOMMEND these books. They are well written and a great stories. . Action filled and fast paced thrillers!

Enjoy.

FIRST STRIKE
"My name is Rasul Moradi, and I understand we have a common enemy—one that I’d rather see dead.”
Hawk looked off in the distance at the two guards who’d entered with Moradi. Half listening to his captor, he tried to calculate his chances of escape while he surveyed the other men in the room. I’d put it at 10-1 that I don’t make it. And I like those odds. “Does the name Nasim Ghazi sound familiar to you?” Moradi asked. Hawk slowly returned his gaze to Moradi. It did indeed. Nasim Ghazi was the whole reason he was in Kirkuk, tracking down Al Hasib’s chief bomb maker. He couldn’t strike without being there, and Firestorm wanted eyes on him to develop a plan to take him out. If the powers that presided over Firestorm had their way, Ghazi’s death would appear as an accident so as to avoid a retaliatory backlash.

Three of the best

Brady Hawk books 1-3 are a continuing story of a secret agency run by a senator who seems to have a hidden agenda. Hawk and his handler Alex get involved in trying to stop a Muslim fanatic from killing thousands of Americans. And Senator Blunt is more than he seems. ENJOY !

A Benchmark of International Action & Excitement!

R.J. Patterson's writing style begins his novels in high heat and doesn't slow down until the end! Definitely a high-octane action of International assassinations of really bad guys in most deserving ways! Well worth reading!

Three rip roaring thrillers kick off the Brady Hawk series.

Good characters in the assassin and his handler and their shady boss interact with action and mystery. I recommend this series.

If you like a hero that succeeds against realistic odds, a pair of protagonists that each have secrets that your unlikely to learn more about until later in the series, killing (lots of killing), with just a dash of real world cultural angst then this series is for you. I know I'm loving it.

great series

I love the first three books in the Brady Hawk series. The interplay with Alex and Brady are interesting. Colton and Blunt are enigmas and not sure of their true motives. Along with General Johnson but I suspect Johnson is playing his own game.

Hard hitting with a lot of action

Finding out Hawks real father was one plot. Saving the world is another. A little possible romance even if a dead ex girlfriend shows up. Yep keeps you reading

A good mix of politicians, assassins, black op operatives, and just a teeny, tiny hint of romance. Throw in a secret society with it's own agenda and you've got an exciting series.
