Relationships aren’t easy. Relationships when you’re famous like me, Evan Michaels? Really not easy. But, Jordan and I are making it work. I’m taking a break from recording and touring for the first time in years, while Jordan and I settle into our new “normal.” Except, there’s nothing normal about our relationship. At all. My jerk of an ex is determined to drag me down, and rumors about my manager, Christian Delevane, and I being an item are running rampant. That’s not news but something about him is… different. We are different, and I don’t like it. I’m afraid he’s about to say “good-bye” for good, breaking my heart and leaving me for Jordan’s best friend, Vance. But I’ll never be ready to say goodbye to Christian. Even if that means letting Vance Hampton into my life. And I thought fame was complicated. It looks like we have the beginnings of a very scandalous relationship on our hands. But, how will my fans handle it? The media? I’m already infamous for my big mouth and attitude. Something like this will make it much worse. Do I go with my heart and risk my career? Or do I give up love for my career, allow my heart to shatter and break, and give up Christian forever?
(Scandalous is a steamy, fast-burn, SLOW-BUILD reverse harem which means one female main character, multiple lovers, and no choosing. EVER. Evan is very foul-mouthed and sex-positive so expect sexy times and lots of "f-bombs." Contains male/male and menage sexual encounters, as well as male/female. You have been warned.) Possible trigger warning: Domestic violence is discussed, but not shown. Other triggers may contain spoilers, so please see author's note at the beginning of book or Amazon's "Look Inside" feature.
Okaaaayyyy... this book was great and the characters reeled me in even more than the first book.
That first POV from Vance and I was hooked on him. I didn’t really want him with Christian before that but that one chapter surprisingly made all the difference. Crazy.
And Christian... he is a cocky dude but he is really so sweeeet. The stuff he says and feels toward Evan makes my romantic side happy and he’s starting to act that way toward Vance too. He is a really good guy.
Jordan... I really want him to get it together and just be with Christian too. Maybe even Vance? Fuck... just let ALL of them be together.
And Isaiah... I wanted his feelings from the last book and I’m so glad that I got them in this one. I feel so bad for him... I hope everything works out with him in the third book. I honestly don’t feel like he’ll be with the other guys as well but as long as he’s with Evan it’ll make me happy.
Definitely worth reading this series! Now onto the next book!
I really enjoyed reading this book. When a rock star escapes a threatening romance with a heavy-handed sports icon, she is surprised to discover more than one man is willing to step up to fill the void.
Get ready for a story with real heart where quite a few characters are surprised to discover comfort and intimacy in completely new ways. Love comes in a variety of forms. I am anxiously awaiting book three in the Infamous series.
I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest opinion
I'm going to start this review off by saying that this book is very M/M heavy and the author warns you of this multiple times. If M/M is not your cup of tea this book is most likely not for you.
But if it is then read on ;)
It's honestly really hard to do this book justice with a review because it's fantabulous!
Scandalous is absolutely wonderful with delving into Christian and Vance's lives and personalities. We get to see a fun dynamic between them that was hinted at in the first book.
Vance is written in such a way that makes him so easy to relate with, especially if you're of the same personality type. It's obvious the amount of effort the author spent making sure Vance's thoughts and feelings came across properly.
The book also goes more into Isaiah's past and feelings and it seems as though book 3 will be the book for him. Can't wait to see how he progresses.
All of the characters' feelings come off as being very real and them exploring that with a potentional relationship kept me on the edge.
And arrrrhaah that cliffhanger. I love you Sariah but that was cruel 😝
Scandalous is a fantastic continuation for Infamous and I absolutely cannot wait for more! (Just. Read. It! Trust me! It is steamy and SO worth it! Plus I laughed out loud many times while reading so the angst does have a counterpart)
This is one of the sequels I've been looking forward to. The first book made me fall in love with Evan, Nash and Christian and Chris soon turned out to be my favorite. I loved his fierce protectiveness and mischievous personality. After reading Infamous we already know that Christian is in love with Evangeline, but he doesn't know what to do with his feelings, not knowing if they are reciprocated. Evan too is having mixed feelings, being in love with Nash, but being jealous when Christian dates someone else. Insert Vance, Nash's best friend and we get what we are promised by the author: a slow build reverse harem/poly-romance.
This book felt more emotional than the first one. The characters deal with a lot of feelings. It's not easy to bring all the characters together, but the author actually pulls it off. What I love most is that things feels a little 'awkward' between certain characters, which is quite normal since there are actually 2 couples that are being fused in one polyamourous relationship. These things don't magically fit and it requires some bonding and planning to make things work. The groundwork is laid, now all we need is for the characters to develop. I can't tell you how excited I am to see how it will turn out. (The Camden-part too, because that storyline had a really dramatic plot twist. )
Really refreshing to read a poly (or more) book where all the parties involved actually like each other, that come from different worlds. This story continues with Jordan getting a crash course in the world of fame and fortune, both leaving him uncomfortable but willing to set his fears aside (with some arm twisting) for Evan. Evan and Christian are trying to stop Evan's ex-fiancee for twisting what he did to Evan around to garner sympathy for himself and save his hockey career. Unfortunately, Evan's choices are playing right into his hands, until a saviour comes out of left field. This series takes an interesting look at polyamorous relationships where again, the common goal is to make each other feel love. Vance & Isiah bring more to this budding "family" group and it's not sex. Jordan's parents are a breath of fresh air and you can tell that this author as well as this reader just wish everyone was as invested in the happiness of their children and not what the rest of the world thinks. Another "to be continued" ending, with a summer of 2019 release for book 3
Ahhhh this book was Scandalous in the best possible way. This is the second book in the Infamous series and picks up where we left off. Evan is rebuilding her life after a truly abhorrent event and end to her last relationship. Now, as she would say, she is surrounded by hot dogs ;) Truly it is like an all you can eat buffet up in her world now. But admitting she wants all these men. That it is ok to have feelings for them... well that's a whole other hurdle to jump. I love how the relationships build in this series. They form naturally. Nothing is forced. Now don't get me wrong... that doesn't mean it is totally smooth. Plenty of awkward and unsure moments ensue. But that is what endeared everyone to me. However, the moments we got to see into Isaiah's head... *sigh* I want to pluck him from the pages and love all over him! I can't wait for the next book. I need to know what happens next. Cause really the cliffy here... gimme gimme giime Book 3!
I’ve read the first three and will not be continuing. I actually skimmed book three because I was already invested and wanted to see how it ended - only to find out there will be another.
I love Evan and Nash and am crazy about Christian but Vance did absolutely NOTHING for me.
The series would have been great as a duet. I generally feel that it’s risky to write more than two or three books in a series because you then have to constantly create battles they have to overcome. I then become super annoyed because each battle loses its impact and needs to be stretched out in order to create another book.
Was initially excited at the start of the series. Most of the characters were great, the situations were both hilarious and sexy, but at some point it went downhill from there and just kept going.
No spoilers of any kind included because I think you should be the one to find out all the surprises that’s hidden within this story! I absolutely positively loved this book and I’m impatiently waiting for the next book. As always Lizzie Fox created yet another emotional roller coaster ride, I lost track of how many times I got teary eyed and I lost count of how many times I laughed and growled in anger. This book heck this series is absolutely AWESOME! So yes I most definitely do recommend it for anyone who’s searching for a fantastic story to crawl into and get themselves completely lost within its pages, but if you haven’t read the first book Infamous then I highly suggest that you do that way you don’t get confused as to what’s happening and who’s who!
Scandalous is a steamy addition to the Infamous series. Evan is in love with Jordan and Christian.....but is that possible? Christian is in love with Evan and Vance....but can that work? And of course neither Evan or Christian want to let the other know their true feelings in case the other doesn't feel the same. The book is very emotional with love, pain, passion and sex, lots of sex. This book seemed to up the ante on sex from the first book in the series.
I really enjoyed the differing view-points. We hear from Evan, Christian, Jordan, Vance and Isaiah. I can't wait to see where the story goes next and in particular with Isaiah.
This is the second book in the Infamous series by Fox/Skye. I still have to say this is my favorite series from her, by far. I have enjoyed a lot of her stories, but these books just blow them out of the water. The characters are unique and have depth. The storyline is fantastic. And the worldbuilding is on point! You really get to feel for the characters. This book has everything from the first - the passion, the heartbreak, the pain, the love - plus some. I couldn't put it down. Excellent job.
I went into reading this book not sure whether I was going to like it or not. I usually read paranormal romance and have read this author's reverse harem paranormal romance. That being said, I really enjoyed this book. I had so many different feelings and emotions in reading this book. The characters are quite complex and she developed them well. So many issues that people deal with in today's society is addressed here. I learned a lot and it led me to search and examine my own thoughts and feelings on these issues. I look forward to the next book to find out how the love story ends!
I can't explain or describe how much I love this series! I read pretty much anything and everything, but lately I have been on a PNR kick but decided to read this series cause I love the author and I was not disappointed! The characters keep surprising me and I fall more in love with the whole bunch. The secondary characters are amazing, like Nash's parents. I love how the group dynamic is coming together and how each person has their own issues to work thru, and wants to put the effort in to make the relationship work.
Scandalous is the second book in the Infamous series. You do need to read the first book to have a better understanding of this one because each book is not a standalone. This book was very steamy and we learn more about the characters. Evan is so strong, I love her! My poor heart went through so much while reading this, so many different emotions. I actually enjoyed this one more than the first and I can’t wait to read the next book after that cliffhanger!
I just love how all the relationships evolve in this series. I love the characters, the foul language and the almost rom-com atmosphere! I think I'm becoming addicted to this author. It does end on sort of a cliffhanger (argh! for crying out loud!!!) and I can't wait for the next book, that should be out during this summer... I sure hope that is true... Can't wait any longer than that. When do I learn only to start series that are already done?
The ending was unexpected. I’m enjoying the story even with the anguish and drama. It feels sorta real how they’re all trying to make their relationship work instead of the usual way poly is handled in reverse harem stories where the characters most of the time jumped into it and get a HEA without any sort of drama.
I just wished they would stop saying shit all the time when they're getting all hot and bothered. It was so unsexy. Ugh. Why not say fuck instead?
Such an amazing book! I absolutely love it. All of the characters are so well written. You get to know them each so personally and they each have such depth. This book will have so many feelings. Poor Evan has so much on her plate and just wants to be loved. Christian will do anything in his power for her.
This is a book about lonely people and love. But it's also about surviving domestic abuse and what happens when people don't believe your trauma. More importantly this is a book about being vulnerable, opening your heart, and accepting that you are loveable. And you, the person reading this sentence: YOU are loveable, too! Such a sweet read. <3
I just adore this series. A unique reverse harem with lots of steam and tons of heart. Evan is a hardass with a big heart and in this installment, we get to fall in love with the men around her (even more than the first). My favorite Lizzie Fox/Sariah Skye series. 💜
I really had a hard time finishing this book. The relationship is just over the top and not enough actual plot line. And I really don’t like the Vance character at all. I get insecurities but he was just weak. I will say the last chapter has me wanting to at least skim the last book.
Evans is such a strong resilient woman. Each man is strong in their own way and their relationships are unique. The emotional responses seem so raw and real. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
The story continues along with this book. We get more relationship development and see more of Vance. Things get good and then bad... Third book should be interesting!
So freaking hot! Love Evan! She is so loving and accepting! Man she’s been through the ringer! Christian, Jordan, Isaiah, and even Vance are so protective of her! You can see each one falling for her. I can’t wait for more to come!
OMG! Yes, you're going to LOVE this addition to the series!
Omg! Wow! I'm having a hard time speaking after finishing this one. My mouth is wide open. Hot, heavy, sexy, and good heavens those twists and turns will have your panties in a bundle! Get ready for a fabulous addition to this series. Grab something to drink, kick back and take a nice long weekend to yourself. You deserve it!!!
Not only did I see substantial growth and improvement in the main characters life but in all the characters and in the authors writing skills. But back to the characters - They’re incredibly nuanced and written with a sharp wit and gritty honesty. It’s seriously refreshing. Sure there are a couple cliches here and there but the feel goods are well worth it. Do I want to yell at them all with suggestions like I’m some PR expert? Absolutely lol but I think that’s the best part, these characters are worth being invested in. And to see their personal connections being portrayed so well, not skipping complicated feelings and dynamics, when usually those corners are cut or full on mis-portrayed? It’s wonderful.
