Being stranded on a desert island with a Navy SEAL could be worse…
Navy SEAL Noah “Viper” Miller is deadly on the battlefield and even more dangerous in bed. He’s lusted after blonde bartender Bailey Franklin since the first time he saw her and isn’t used to a woman turning him down. Ever.
Bailey’s long blonde hair, wicked sense of humor, and dangerous curves haunt his dreams. But just because he can kill an enemy with his bare hands doesn’t mean he’s a match for the feisty bartender.
Bailey Franklin has been attracted to Noah since the first time he sauntered into her bar. Cocky and flirtatious, he has heat coursing through her any time he's near.
When a relaxing afternoon at sea ends up with the boat capsizing during a sudden storm, Noah comes to her rescue.
But getting safely to shore is only the beginning.
They're stranded together on a remote island, desperate and alone. Noah's ready to put his SEAL training and survival instincts to good use...but will he be able to convince her to give him a chance as well?
Stranded with a SEAL, a standalone novel, is book twelve in the addictive Alpha SEALs series.
This book was a disappointment. The first three fourth was only about them wanting to get together. There was nothing to base a relationship on. Being stranded on the island overnight does not make one fall in love. The time Noah and Bailey were stranded was the best part of the book.
Bartender Bailey and Navy SEAL Noah are accompanying their respective best friends on a fishing trip when Bailey is blown overboard in a storm. Noah jumps in after her (with a well-packed backpack) and they find refuge on a small, uninhabited island until they're rescued.
The first half of this book was set on solid ground, with Bailey and Noah getting to know each other (since their best friends are getting married). This is a nice change of pace from other stranded-on-a-deserted-island themed novels. The characters have chemistry, and are attracted to each other beforehand, but it's their isolation that brings them together. I liked the characters, and the situation wasn't too outlandish. It's a nice little novella and a fun read.
I'm taking off one star because of the authors excessive use of the word chuckle(d). It became so annoying I started counting and got to 40. She needs a better editor because the term of endearment "sunshine" was also used ad nauseam. Otherwise, fun story.
My first book by the author (yes, I chose one in the middle of the series). The book summary really tells all you need to know about the story. Except the boat didn't capsize. It was caught up in a bad storm that came through earlier than anticipated and it got bumped around in the waves and with bad winds that knocked her overboard.
Overall, Noah and Bailey's story was a nice little novella to read and I really enjoyed it.
It had some flirting with no plans to be more than that because they had mutual friends and she didn't do one night stands with guys she would see again/much afterwards. But with Noah and her having mutual friends, she didn't have the luxury of never seeing him again. The mutual friends - Mason and Taylor - were also on the boat. They went on vacation to Florida and invited Bailey and Noah so no one would feel like a 3rd wheel to them.
It had some danger - with the boat in the storm and Noah jumping in after bailey and swimming to an island a couple miles away where they had to stay overnight due to the ongoing storm.
And it had romance in the end. While on the island, Noah and Bailey gave in to their chemistry and ultimately became a couple.
The scenes were all well written and actually left me wanting to know more about the couple, so it pulls you in nicely.
Navy Seal Noah "Viper" Miller is deadly on the battlefield and maybe more dangerous in bed. He saw Bailey Franklin a blonde bartender that has turned him down everytime. She was attracted to him when he walked in. He rescues her when the boat she was on cap sizing during a sudden storm. They ended being stranded on a remote island and he has his survival training to convince her that he can take care of her
5 stars for Stranded with a Seal by Makenna Jameison
The Alpha Seals are a great series. Great characters. Well written that you can actually see everything in your head. Hot and sexy alphas. Love Bailey and Noah. Wanted to read more. Can't wait for the next instalment of Alpha Seals.
I’m rereading this series and have to admit that I’m enjoying it so much the second time around. Makenna Jameson knows how to write a story with characters the reader will love. It’s especially nice that they keep appearing in future books. Nothing is better than a book with a happily ever after!
Great read. A little different type of suspense. Lots of romance and hot love. Bailey and Noah made a cute couple. Good read watching them get together. Good book and series.
I love books about seals and the excitement and adventures they have. So I wasn't impressed by these books. I love this author but this series just lacked everything I love in seal books. Lots of sex if that's your thing
I really like Makenna's continuing stories of these seal team members. It's like one great big family you get to be part of. The suspense part of this story was there like she always gives us. It's always my favorite part and of course there was some romance too.
I enjoyed this story very much. The more I read in this series the better I like the books. I can't wait to read the next. I would recommend this book to anyone.
