About the author

Ashley is a poet, novelist and ex-teacher living in Australia.

He taught English, Media and Music Production, played in a metal band, worked in an art gallery and slaved away at music retail. (For a few years, he was also a legal secretary).

Aside from reading and writing, Ashley loves volleyball, Studio Ghibli and Magnum PI.

TEETH OF THE WORLD is a collection of short and easy-to-read modern haiku about everyday life. I loved each and every one of the poems and was so immersed that I didn't realize when the book was over. I'll be checking out more from this author!

Short and concise, these modern haiku and senryu are straight to the point. Not a word is superfluous and each verse highlights a vivid image from the poet’s daily life. Capes is as skilled a poet as he is an author.
