When Violet Summerlin receives her old letter, she's intrigued—but too busy to worry about it. It's taking all she's got to battle her lust for her sexy client Dominick Burns.
Then Dominick invites her to Miami for a working holiday. And Violet knows she won't be able to withstand his sensual attack for long.
She doesn't.
The man seems to know just how to please her. Every slow stroke, every breath-stealing adventure takes her to new heights of sexual ecstasy. But mixing business and pleasure can be a dicey combination. Especially when Violet discovers Dominick's been hiding something from her…
USA TODAY bestselling author Stephanie Bond was seven years deep into a systems engineering career and pursuing an MBA at night when an instructor remarked that she had a flair for writing and suggested that she submit to academic journals. But Stephanie, a voracious reader, was only interested in writing fiction–more specifically, romantic fiction.
Upon completing her master’s degree and with no formal training in writing (her undergraduate degree is in computer programming), she started writing a romance novel in her spare time. Two years later in 1995 she sold her first manuscript, a romantic comedy, to Harlequin Books.
In 1997, with ten sales under her belt to two publishers, Stephanie left her corporate job to write women’s romantic fiction full-time. In 2011,
Stephanie launched a self-publishing business. Since that time, she has sold more than 1 million copies of her own books. To-date, Stephanie has published over 70 novels and has over 6 million copies of her work in worldwide distribution in numerous languages and formats.
I am 3h 2m into this book, and I want to smack the heroine and wish a very itch STD upon the hero.
THEY HAD SEX THE NIGHT BEFORE, AND NOW SHE IS SHOPPING FOR THE WOMEN HE SLEPT WITH THROUGHOUT THE YEAR!!!
[Breathe]
And again.
And again.
And again.
I know it's her job (she runs one of those conceirge service businesses), but COMMON FREAKING DECENCY should have prevailed this guy to pass this on to someone else or SEND THEM ALL GIFT CARDS!!!!
[Breathe]
And again.
And again.
Repeat...about A ZILLION TIMES.
Ok. Not working.
Ok. ONE of the women is his housekeeper. ONE of out say A DOZEN that we know of at this point?????
This guy is a complete jerkwad who deserves a REALLY ITCHY STD.
It just keeps getting better...despite BELIEVING that he leaves her sportin' wood that he late sates with other women (yes, she believes this happens more than once) she CONTINUES SLEEPING WITH HIM AND EVEN FALLS IN LOVE.
Oh, I see, this must be a "closet" BDSM story. Duh. I should have figured that out. Obviously, this is her idea of like foreplay or some kind of perverse psychological pain/pleasure deal.
Makes perfect sense now.
I've got 45m 6s left...I NEED A VALIUM.
Oh, just DARN! NOT the word I wanted to use, btw. He brought her dream Christmas to reality at the freaking airport when she was kicking his admittedly sorry butt to the curb. Talk about tugging at the heart strings. Fine! He STILL needs to AT LEAST apologize for being such a jerkwad and stuff then I'm thinking being her sex slave for at least a decade or so especially AFTER they have kids.
OMGoodness, what a weepy, sappy, TOTALLY perfect ending. I am such a sucker for happy joy!!
This one is also in Stephanie Bond's series where the lead female receives a letter written by her 10 years later. This one was just okay, it wasn't all that exciting. Of the 3 I've read in this series I prefer 'In a Bind.' Violet sees herself as boring and is looking to have exciting sex. The sex in this book isn't at all exciting, it's just sex in places out of the ordinary. Also the sex was always after she took part in some form of extreme sport activity. Check it out from the library or borrow it from a friend, don't buy it.

I couldn't give this a better rating because I felt it was not something I could recommend. It's a quick and spicy story if that's what you are looking for.
Violet Summerlin is a complete workaholic - professional, prim and proper. If she wishes that she maybe had a little bit more fun in her life - she's just far too busy to worry about it.
Then she receives a letter that she wrote years ago detailing her fantasies about untamed, deliciously wild sex, and her mind goes into overdrive. Even more so whenever she happens to be in the same room as her sexy client, Dominick Burns.
Then Dominick invites her to Miami for a working holiday and soon the pair are fulfilling every one of Violet's fantasies. Mixing business with pleasure is always dangerous, especially when Violet realises Dominick has been hiding something from her.
This is one of Blaze's Christmas stories and it's a good, fun and festive read.
Violet is definitely a woman that most will identify with as she tries to change her life, and her sex life, for the better. Dominick seemed a slightly different hero than the norm as he was boyish and fun - but he still maintained the sexy, passionate and alpha qualities that made him a great hero. Together the pair scorch the pages.
The story was interesting, readable and perfect to heat up a cold, winter evening. If you like your romances with some fun, spice and a sprinkling of Christmas spirit, then you will enjoy this story. 4 stars.
If your looking for masterbatory material or need some ideas for a jolt to your sex life then there are some merits to this book. If your looking for good character development, and a plausable romance, then not so much at all. It was a quick read with a predictable ending, middle, and beginning. Of course this was a Harlequin book, and a Blaze one at that. But still I have read others that dared to think that a book can be hot sexy appeal to younger women, and be intelligently written but I digress.
2.5 stars for this one. I wasn't too fond of Violet's uptight prudishness. And the whole "virgin-to-whore" thing is annoying. Sexually repressed women don't turn into dirty talking hussies just because a guy touches her in the right spot. It's unrealistic for me. And while this is obviously fiction, it's not fantasy or UF or PNR, so I'll only suspend my disbelief so far.
It was a light, fluffy read that didn't do much for me, but I know others will enjoy it.
I would recommend it, but then I'd complain about Violet's transf-whore-mation.
When I get a Blaze book I have minimal expectations: a short romance listen with a few hot scenes and a storyline that sounds plausible. No peeking did not even meet those minimal expectations. The storyline is ridiculously impossible to believe and the heroine is an uptight, insecure prudish with moments of dirty talking sex goddess that immediately go back to being uptight, insecure and prude. WHAT?REALLY? I only gave this book two stars because I was able to finish it.
Awwww...yet another happily ever after story. The struggle to get out of your own way plays through in this themed trilogy. Fun and erotic! Words that Stephanie Bond use to describe the sex scenes will scorch anyone's libido up a notch...love it!!
Meh. I found the main characters insecurities to be a turn off. It had it's moments - mostly at the very end - but I admit I rolled my eyes more than once at this book.
