Four brothers born and raised in the criminal lifestyle… in stealing.
Professional thieves. That’s what we were. And we were damn good at it. Take what we wanted with no regrets, no repercussions. We didn’t have attachments, no worries, and sure as hell no women to screw up the plan. And that’s what made our lives work. The job was set—should have been an in-and-out situation. Easy.
But then I saw her, Amelia, and she wasn’t part of the plan. I instantly wanted her, had to have her. She was like this drug, and I was desperately addicted.
I’d do anything, whatever it took to make her mine.
When her life was in danger when it was Cullen, my own brother, about to hurt her, there was only one thing I could do.
Take her, keep her with me, and make her see she was meant to be mine.
But to Cullen, she was a liability. He wouldn’t stop, not when all he could see was making sure the family was safe, that the Preacher Boys were in the clear.
What he didn’t know was, family or not, Amelia was the one thing I’d always wanted, and I wouldn’t let anyone take her away from me.
Gotta love that cover!! 👅Added bonus when I fell in love with the synopsis!! That alone gave me the gots to read vibe!!
This one right here was a quick hot lunch time read, this went from a get in get the job done and out to when things went wrong and it turned into a kidnapping and from that point onwards everything about it was insta, insta chemistry, insta sexual chemistry. insta, insta....
I don't mind insta's if they are done right and this was orchestrated perfectly, I enjoyed this story immensely throw in those bad boy brothers and I was all in!!
This was an awesome start to what I can already tell will be a fantastic series, all about the Preacher Brothers and who doesn’t love a series about bad boys, especially alpha ones?
Amelia is trying to get through life the best that she can and saving up for her next semester at school, she is working late helping out with inventory at the jewellery shop, she wasn’t meant to be there and when she sees Dom and his brothers robbing the store, she is scared but drawn to one of the men in a way that she cannot explain or stop, when he insist on taking her with them is it so that he can protect her or this the end of her story? She should be terrified but for some reason this feels meant to be and that Dom will protect her but if a choice is to be made will it be her or his brothers?
Dom and his brothers are professional thieves and they plan their jobs down to the last detail, so when they rob the jewellery store the last person that Dom was expecting to find was Amelia but from the moment that he sets eyes on her he knows that he is right where he was meant to be and finding her was his destiny. But his older brother sees her as a liability and that she needs to go. Can he save the woman that was always meant to be his or will his brother take away his future?
Quick insta love story which is really well written and leaves you wanting the rest of the brothers stories right now. Highly recommended 4.5* read.
4 brothers who are thieves... Cant say more!!!! I am so excited for this new series!! And so far i cant wait to read the other brothers.
Dom... has to be the calmest brother so far, he is dangerous and the 2nd oldest one, when he and the others are robbing a jewelry store an unexpected thing happens Ameila a good girl who was at the wrong place right time lol.
Dom is already feeling this pull towards her and well he kidnaps her, not wanting to let her go he goes against his brothers well brother who wanted to kill her. And boy Dom vs Cullen was ouch and hot... out of all the brothers i think Cullen shall be the hardest to crack.. (hope his girl has claws and a mouth lol)
Ameila and Dom their attraction towards one another is 0 to 100000!!! Ameila at first was scared and had mixed feelings since who falls for their kidnapper but she does and takes that leap of faith knowing their is something deep between them.
Only thing I'm surprised didnt happen no drama from any of the jobs they pulled since they don't move around and stay in one place. Only family drama..
As for the rest of the brothers... i wonder who's book is next!! You kinda left us on a cliffy with Cullen... :0
Low angst, Drama, slight secondary charas, sexy times, virgin gal no manwhore guy

"The Kingdom" was an engaging and gritty start to the Preacher Bros. series! Family came first for the brothers who were professional thieves until Dom saved the heroine Amelia who was in the wrong place at the wrong time ... but boy does Dom falls hard!
Can't wait till the brooding Cullen's story is told. Cullen will be a hard nut to crack so he will most definitely need a spunky but loving partner!
Holy hotness! This story was way steamy! This is going to make you want to run out and get your very own bad boy. Dom is a force to be reckoned with. He is pretty sweet with Amelia. Lots of big time drama and suspense. Can’t wait for Cullen’s story!
I loved this book so much. Dom and Amelia were so awesome together. Their attraction and chemistry was off the charts hot. I am not sure if it was meant to be a coincidence but I did enjoy the Nine Inch Nails reference. I had to go and listen to Closer when I read the two lines that made me think of the song. Loved it. I can’t wait to read more of the Preacher Boys. I highly recommend picking this book up.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow!! I read this book without putting it down because I was so drawn into the story. Dom is awesome and very intriguing. Instead of letting his brother kill Amelia, he decides he wants her. And what develops between Dom and Amelia was very interesting to watch. I was cheering for them by the end of the book and now I want Cullen's story. I think his story will be even more powerful than this one was, simply because of the "hardness" in his heart! The chemisty between Dom and Amelia is off the charts hot and I can't wait for the other 3 brothers to find their woman. Will they change their ways when they all find the one they love? I guess we'll have to wait until the books are all out to find out. There isn't a cliffhanger in this story because we know the H/h are together but we do get a lead into Cullen's story and I'm hoping it won't be long!!
Dom and his three brothers have continued the family legacy as burglars and their latest mission is about to go off without a hitch when they come across a witness. Dom knows that she is meant to be his so he takes her as well as the merchandise.
Amelia is conflicted by the feelings that Dom raises in her. Her head tells her to run but her heart tells her to stay but when his brother considers her a liability will he be able to protect her?
I am looking forward to watching the other brother’s fall.
Holy freaking hotness! What an incredible start to what is going to be an amazing series! Falling for your kidnapper? Wow just wow Jenika Snow has written another winner! I can't wait to read about the woman who is able to penetrate Collins heart.
Short yet hot- the thief Dominic and the innocent Amelia
Although this book is short (took me about 1.5 hours to read) it was packed with hotness and tension-filled pages between the H and h.
Dominic is a professional thief, along with his three other brothers. He didn’t have the best childhood/life growing up (his older brother Cullen took most of the physical/verbal beatings they suffered) and only learned how to be a thief from their father. Their mother was out of the picture when his younger twin brothers were babies, which left Cullen and Dom to help raise them (since their dad was useless). Amelia works at the jewelry store that Dom and his brothers plans to rob. She grew up in the foster care system and was going to college, but found it hard to keep up tuition fees, so she’s taking a small break.
When the brothers break into the store, they didn’t realize Amelia would be there. As soon as she made eye contact with Dom’s intense blue eyes (his and his brothers’ faces were covered), it was like she was punched in the gut- and he felt the same. Their connection was instant and intense. So intense that she couldn’t believe she was feeling this way (oh, and she’s a virgin, so she’s never experienced this before). Dom decides she’s going with them since she’s seen Cullen and his face, plus- the visceral, raw chemistry between them is obvious- and he wants to explore every inch of it, and she finds it hard to deny the attraction she has for him as well.
Yes, this book is short- but it packs a punch. There probably needed to be more of a storyline/conflict, but it was enough. And the intimate scenes were 🔥🥵. I’m surprised my kindle didn’t melt! I love how dominant yet respectful (if that’s possible lol) Dom is towards Amelia. He protects her (from her brother’s wrath) but knows that she’s his no matter what. I would’ve liked this to be longer- to show more character and plot development, especially when it came to Dom and Amelia getting to know each other, but it was still pretty good.
Not a bad read. Hero is obsessed with heroine at first sight. I just didn’t like how he was an ass to his brother when from the sounds of it the brother took alot from his father so his siblings didn’t have too. Everything is insta and goes fast.

The Kingdom by Jenika Snow is the first in a new series of brothers. I dig insta-love and insta-chemistry when it is hot, steamy and all consuming. The Preacher brothers are professional thieves. They get in fast and get the job done and get out. All of that was working until Amelia shows up at the wrong place, wrong time.
Amelia works at a jewelry store and is scared for her life during a robbery. Until she meet's the eyes of Dom who is instantly captivated by her. She is a liability, she could identify the robbers and Dom's brother believes she has to go, but Dom takes her instead. Dom wants her and she wants him. Ooh so sexy.
Really hot story with great chemistry. Opposites attract - different worlds colliding and it works. I love Jenika Snow's books and look forward to the next book in the series about Cullen. He's super angry and brooding. She'll create a woman who will make him fall.
Great start to the series!! Four brothers are professional thieves and Amelia was in the wrong place at the wrong time when they robbed the jewelry store she worked at. She wasn’t even supposed to be working. Dom is completely mesmerized by her and oddly protective of her when he just met her. Cullen, Dom’s older brother, sees her as a liability and wants to eliminate her as a problem. Dom and Amelia have this instant and intense connection. Will Dom be able to protect Amelia from his brothers? I can’t wait for Cullen’s story!!
This is a very quick read , Amelia works at a jewelry store that Dom and his brothers rob and once dom sees her their instant connection means he will never let her go. Despite being kidnapped Amelia also feels this soul deep connection and gets to choose whether to stay or go.
Insta love quick read. A Family of thieves are in the middle of a job when Don sees Amelia. She is not supposed to be there but now she is a liability. One second from death and Dom saves her. With one look he knows she is his. Amelia and Dom find something they didn’t know they wanted or needed. Interesting plot with characters that you will like. Good start to the series.
Four brothers raised by an abusing father, who also taught them how to rob & steal for themselves. And when their father died, they continued doing what was the only thing they knew how to survive. Then they added kidnapping.
Sweet little sexy read. Dom is one hot guy! I kept picturing Vin Diesel every time someone said Dom. There are some hot sexy scenes with a dirty talking H! Yum! Will read the next to see what happened to Cullen.
I love all things Ms. Snow and this book held to the high standards I have for her writing. The Alpha-level of this book was darn near caveman and I loved every minute of it!
Four thieving brothers go on a heist and there is Amelia who is helping her elderly store owner with the work stuff.. And the commotion leads her to get out of the office and THAT is when Dom sees her and knows that she's his.
And as you know, in true JS fashion, nothing and absolutely nobody comes in the way of an alpha and his lady love.
It’s an interesting storyline, Brothers, thieves, angry men. I just don’t know that I actually loved the book but it was different. Dark but did have light moments.
Can Amelia and Dom’s insta attraction be real This is my 9th book by Jenika and I love how she makes you feel like you are right there in the scene with Dom and Amelia. Amelia is checking over the inventory at the jewelry store where she works when Dom and his brothers rob it. What follows is an insta attraction between the two that shouldn’t be and Dom doesn’t care if his brothers accept Amelia’s presence in their home. Can they find their happily ever after despite the circumstances against them? You have to read to find out and won’t put the book down until you turn the last page.
This is a great start to what I anticipate is going to be an awesome series! I loved the instant alpha claim in this story! I could feel that instant attraction and the claim he had on his love. There is very little angst in this story even with all the action, but they doesn't mean it's lacking in any way. The tension, passion, heat... it drives this story. I loved every page and cannot wait for the rest of the brothers to get theirs! Great read. 4.25 stars.
Dom and Amelia meet when he and his brothers go to rob a jewelry story thinking only the owner would be there and was surprised when the beautiful redhead steps out. His brother Cullen wants to kill her to protect themselves but the moment Dom see her he wants her and she knows she belongs with him. This is one hot steamy book and hope I get to read the next one.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What the hell did I just read. Is this based on a porn movie or something? That is not how real people react! She was kidnapped. He was hot. She suddenly wants him. They are in love and in lust in less than 24 hours. This book is pretty short so that's why I actually finished it. That and the fact that it could have been so good. It had glimmers of potential. *shrug* That's what I get for not reading the reviews.
