A standout among Christian books for women, Each Day a Gift
Celebrate each moment and milestone of your life when you practice gratitude through God's guiding words. These devotionals for women show you how.
Each Day A Gift is a lovely devotional for women. I am a firm believer in the power of gratitude to create deeper levels of well-being. Sometimes we get so busy we need a reminder to center ourselves back in gratitude. This 90-day devotional does just that. The messages are inspiring and the exercises are simple and effective. It covers some topics I haven’t seen covered in similar guides, which I appreciated and found refreshing. I typically prefer devotionals based on mindfulness but this one is bible-based. It is definitely geared towards those who practice gratitude with their walk with God and wish to deepen their relationship with him.
How she ever convinced a publisher to publish this book is beyond me. Very disjointed and the “devotions” are not really such, they are her telling us about her life. Then she goes on to ask you be thankful but it all seems repetitive and doesn’t connect with the reading section associated with what she wants you to write. Awful, my opinion

Due to the more harried lives women have to live when compared to men, especially when you consider being responsible for their children, it’s no wonder they might have difficulties in seeing the truth of what each day is bringing to them.
Reading this book on a daily basis I believe can help women fulfill what’s stated in HEBREWS 12:28 [ESV]
“Therefore, let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe.”
This fulfillment gets accomplished since the devotionals which the author has skillfully selected will open the eyes of women to the truth of the Lord’s greatest each day by what he’s presented to them. And it’s with their realization of this that they then be grateful unto the Lord.
This opening of their eyes, corrects what might be inferred by what’s indirectly stated regarding this matter in PSALM 115:5 / PSALM 135:16 [ESV]
“They have mouths, but do not speak; they have eyes, but do not see;”
Like a child, women need guidance to realize their full potential when wanting to intensify their faith in the Lord and to possess a life which is filled with an overflowing gratefulness for what he’s given them.
Once the full potential has been reached in regards to having a habit of praise and thanks for what the Lord has done for their lives; women can make the affirmation which I believe is found in PSALM 17:5 [ESV]
“My steps have held fast to your paths; my feet have not slipped.”
For wanting to transform and uplift the spiritual lives of women, this reviewer of Christian Books, is grateful for what Ms. Lawton has attempted to do in her book, and has given her the 5 STARS she deserves.
This book is a great way for us to remind ourselves of what we have to be thankful for and why! Each devotion is short which fits in to my life. We often find ourselves fairly busy in this fast paced world and this is an easy way for myself to remind myself of why I give praise and thanks.
I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my open and honest review.
The book for review is “Each Day a Gift” by Sabrina U. Lawton. This book falls in the genre of Christianity, devotion and prayer according to the publishers.
Life is hectic. Not big news to anyone. But is it too busy for us to be grateful for the things around us? The people around us? Things more than material items?
This book is a 90 day devotional book to help the reader get into the habit of praise and thanks. What will you find between the covers?
Let me give you an example from Chapter 1. It is titled “Sacred Self-Care” and it has a spiritual quote from the bible. The short chapter dives into this topic after which is a prayer to say. After it is your turn to do the exercise to help home in on what was just discussed.
Each chapter is short just two pages. It gives you a chance to get a quick read but one that is pack full of information that could make you pause and think on how this relates to you. But short also so it does not take a lot of time but still you will be able to complete the 90 day guide that this is written up.
Topics include:
-Simple Abundance -The Power of Prayer -Shelter in the Storm -I Shall Not Want
I really enjoyed this book. Normally books I review for free I pass on but this is one I shall keep and do. It is designed beautifully and am glad I will get to use it.
I received this book for free from Callisto Publishing in exchange for an honest review.
Recognizing and acknowledging your blessings and expressing your gratitude renews your faith and refreshes your spirit. "Each Day a Gift: A Gratitude Devotional for Women: 90 Devotions to Make a Habit of Praise and Thanks" is a lovely and uplifting journal to encourage spiritual reflection. Author Sabrina U. Lawton has written an insightful and inspiring essay for each of the 90 days, and each day includes a space to record your own thoughts. Topics include subjects and situations that we all encounter, and there are Bible verses spread the pages to strengthen the ideologies expressed by the author. The layout of the book makes it quite accessible and easy-to-read. It would make a wonderful gift for a friend or a helpful and enjoyable tool for a faith-based study group.
Loved the introduction on this one! And I could relate to everything thing this author said! I take very seriously my relationship with Jesus and I found this devotional very comforting and encouraging. The devo talks candidly about our age, looks, careers and identity.
“Everything I think I am, I give it to you! Everything the world has taught me about my value as a woman, I give it to you! I am empty now. You will have to show me who I am.”
This was a NETGALLEY gift and all opinions are my own.
I received this copy from the publisher to preview. Review is not required. This book is a book of 90 devotions. They are mostly two page devotions that include a prompting statement and a small place to journal. This is perfect for me as I usually give short answers to journaling questions. The topics are all relevant to our everyday struggles. They can usually be done in less than 5 minutes. This is a great way to start your day
I truly enjoyed this devotional it was wonderful way to start your day. It was easy to read. I enjoyed the verses. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I found this very good for someone just starting out. I think if you are wanting to dive deeper into scripture you might want to try another Devotional.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book
Pros: This book will help you with your “why”. Not the why this or that happened to me, but why am I experiencing things at this point in my life. You will receive direction on where to turn in the Bible and have a deeper mean as each day evolves. This book will truly feel your soul and it will act as the friend you need when things are not going right. Day 18, was special for me along with several other days. This is geared for the women that are in a special place. Those that are not young, or old, but in a stage of their life where very few authors tend to venture towards.
Cons: This book will appear to be about the author’s history, but it will offer so much more. As the author reveal their story, you will find something that you can resonate with as well. There is something for everyone, and it does not disappoint.
