My takeaway from this book was a renewed sense of possibility and perseverance. Misty’s journey, overcoming both personal and societal challenges, was inspiring, showing how passion and determination can break barriers. The story also made me reflect on the importance of representation and how Misty’s success opens doors for future generations of dancers, especially young Black girls, to see themselves in positions of greatness.
