Where is My State? is a short informational book that allows children to know where they live. The text and sentences in the book are short and easy to read. In the back of the book it has State facts, Glossary and a index. The illustrations in the book are real pictures which allows students to see different homes and places. This book will be good for grades 1st to 2nd because they are beginning to learn how to read and start learning about states. Teachers could use this book as an activity that will allow students to see how each state look different. They can also expand their knowledge by printing out worksheets and seeing if they could remember what the glossary words were.
