This is a very sweet story about little critter performing in his very first school play and the emotions and nervousness that go with that. The story takes us from the start where critter is assigned his part in the play, through the costume process and memorization of his lines. The thoughts and feelings of getting on the stage and the way he feels when he's done. I think this is a great book for young children as it shows them emotions they may have experienced such as preparing for the Christmas concert at school and having to perform for the parents etc....
The pictures are detailed and give the children lots to talk about. The children at my work always seem to find something in the pictures to discuss.

I like this book this book is supper fun to read. I like when his mom made his green elf costume. I woud like to be the sun flower in the play.

I think this would be a fun read aloud. The illustrations are good.
