Forced to work with Division 6 again, Jenna finds herself on a case that cuts a little too close to the bone. A blast from the past has sent her into a tailspin.
Bodies are washing up along the coast but these are no mere corpses; they’ve been affected by a dark enchantment. Add vampires into the mix and you’ve got a recipe for disaster and Jenna and her team find themselves stuck in the middle of it.
Haunted by her past, Jenna faces an adversary she thought long dead in order to protect those around her from falling into the clutches of something more ancient and far deadlier than anything Division 6 has faced before.

The pity party was too heavy handed to get this book more than 2 stars. The woe is me heroine destroyed any good feelings I had towards this series and the fact she never really stopped to think didn't help. At 92% I still wanted to DNF.
I liked this. Most of the action takes place away from Jenna’s town so many of the characters we’re used to weren’t prevalent. I enjoyed the storyline but Carmine was just a little too successful and got away with too much. The tension between Jenna and Grey has got to get some relief. They each have so many missed opportunities to work things out, it is getting annoying so I give this only three stars. Also, I don’t like cliffhangers. If I like a series, I usually read all the books in it so do not like the ploy of a cliffhanger to get me to continue. It’s irritating. Still I liked this book and this author.
Fast paced read. The sparks that fly when Jenna's around. I would love to see her and Grey together. Who knows, it could be Eli. I cant wait for the next installment. My favorite character is little Mary. You can just picture how cute she would be. Plus add in her child like innocence, she is a bundle of joy. I can't wait for their story as well. But I love Jenna's whip and never ending courage. With every installment, she gets one step further to put her past behind. So hurry up with the next one...lol
Enjoyed this book so much I sped through it. I've found I love all her series the plot are unpredictable and refreshingly original and exciting. Not to mention outstanding character development. Trying to read all her books hoping to read the next book in this series really soon!!
I reread the first book before picking this one up. You need to start with book one. Excellent series so far with interesting characters and a strong heroine. It is a series. This story ended where the next story will begin. I would not say cliffhanger, but it is a continuation of one of the threads which started in this book.
The book was good, but for me it lost the momentum of the first book. I know sometimes that is necessary in a series, but it definitely made for a longer read. I look forward to the next book where hopefully we will pick up the pace again.
