Loved the story in this book. Not only the illustrations were very pretty and colourful, the story itself was wonderfully cheeky. It surpassed my expectations.

Beautifully written and illustrated picture book with lots to look at. Interesting theme of friendship and having one really special friend. Great book for introducing more complex descriptors to younger children like 'brilliant', 'fantastic' or 'gentle'. You don't know who's speaking throughout the text but find out at the end, so this adds another unique complexity for children in understanding the voice of the narrator.
