A freak storm has her sliding down the mountain...right into the arms of her ex.
Eden McLaughlin is fed up with rich men who scoff at her outdoor product line. She's worked for Explore Getaway Bay for a long time, and she tinkers with making outdoor survival products in her spare time—and she can't get a single investor on the island to back her. Not even her employer, as no one knows who actually owns the company.
So fine. She'll take a hike, literally.
When a isolated storm causes a downpour and then a landslide, Eden has no choice but to go with the tons of rocks and mud—right off the side of a cliff and into the arms of her ex-boyfriend.
Holden Holstein drags her under an overhang just in the nick of time. He has no supplies, which is super embarrassing as he owns the island's biggest outdoor company, Explore Getaway Bay, and he should know better. But he was just getting out of the office for a moment.
He's thrilled to discover the mud-covered woman in his temporary shelter is his ex-girlfriend, who he's never gotten over. But he's not fond of the huge wound on his leg that's sending fire through his system, nor the fact that the landslide took out the only path back to safety.
Eden has a few supplies--as well as only eyes for Holden. As they spend time out in the wilds of Hawaii trying to survive, their old flame is rekindled. But with secrets and old feelings in the way, will Holden be able to take all the broken pieces of his life and put them back together in a way that makes sense? Or will he lose his heart and the reputation of his company because of a single landslide?

Tour guide Eden McLaughlin has been inventing her own survival gear for years, which comes in handy when she's caught up in a landslide while hiking. She lands on her ex-boyfriend, the unfortunately named Holden Holstein (what were his parents thinking?), who also happens to be the secret millionaire owner of the outdoor excursions company she works for.
There's a lot of coincidences in Stranded with the Hidden Billionaire, but the situation the characters are in feels more realistic than a lot of other stranded-themed books. I like the characters, especially brilliant and brave Eden, who literally saves Holden's life. They both deserve their happy ending.
Terribly written book. He/She mixed up. One minute the man in the book is hurt and his wound inflamed and he has a fever. The woman lances it and the next minute he is ready to hike for hours to a water spring? WTH could have a really good read. Two individuals get caught in a landslide and manage to find a cave. They have a history of dating. Also, the guy in this book is a complete wimp. Badly written
Eden and Holden had dated 5 years before but Holden broke it off because he was dealing with his mother's death and other family things. This second chance romance is set in Hawaii and Holden is a secret billionaire mostly because of the inheritance from his mother's death. Both Eden and Holden have never forgotten each other. Eden goes for a hike and takes a backpack with her inventions for survival which comes in handy when she gets caught unexpectedly by a storm. Holden was caught unprepared when he went hiking on the same trail. They both find themselves in a cave trying to get out of the rain. Holden's leg is injured and begins to get infected. With the items and medicine that Eden has, she gets Holden's leg better. They are in need of food and water and have to rely on each other to survive. Holden doesn't tell Eden that he's the billionaire owner of the company that she works for. That withheld information hurts Eden again and when they are rescued, she pulls away from him. He doesn't want to give her up again and works to win her back. Will it be enough and in time? I enjoyed this clean romance book.
On a hike to clear her mind, Eden is frustrated with not finding an investor for her survival equipment. She is so frustrated she forgets to pay attention to the weather and a sudden storm and mud slide have her falling down the mountain. After waking up from her fall, she is surprised to find Holden Holstein looking down at her. He's a blast from her past and now they are stuck together until the rescue team reaches them.
Holden is taken by surprise upon reaching Eden and they are together long enough to really talk with each other. He is quickly remembering why he loves her and is not looking forward to not seeing her afterwards. How can he convince her they need to be together?~
This book was poorly written which is disappointing because I have read some of the other books and I love how they all tie together.
They were stuck on a mountain for barely 48 hours and acted as if they were stranded for weeks. During the mudslide, the girl falls over the cliff and the guy catches her and hurts his leg. A couple hours later his leg was allegedly infected and needed to be cut open…like?
Then they are rescued and allegedly the mountain and hiking trail were rebuilt in 24 hours?
None of the timelines made any sense at all.
Also the pronouns she/he and him/her were mixed up all throughout the book so I kept getting confused. Definitely some extra proofreading would have helped.

Another great romance set in Getaway Bay! Eden gets swept away in a slide trying to get away from a storm on the mountain. Luckily someone stops her fall. That someone just happens to be Holden the boyfriend that broke her heart. While waiting on rescue they begin to rebuild their relationship. But when the rescuers arrive Eden finds out a fact that Holden has not shared—he’s now a Billionaire! Can they continue to rebuild their relationship?? Don’t miss this short, clean read from Elana Johnson.
Eden is a tour guide and inventor, Holden is a developer and owner of the company that Eden works for. They used to be a couple five years previously but broke up when Holden's mother became ill and subsequently died. He's had an unusual family life and has issues. They meet again on a mountain after both have become injured during a storm, they have to spend time together before, hopefully, being rescued. A good quick read from Elana.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
A second chance for Eden and Holden when they get trapped in the wilderness after a storm. Holden and Eden broke up 5 years previous when Holden was struggling with the death of his mother. Eden is having a hard time letting go of her own pain after Holden closed the door on their relationship all those years ago. But to survive these two must deal with the attraction they have for each other and let go of past pain if they are to survive until rescue comes. This was a relaxing clean read.
What can be worse than being stuck on a mountain after an avalanche? Being stuck with the man you loved five years ago. Holden let Eden go at a very depressing time in his life and he always regretted it. But he has a second chance to fix it when he is stranded with Eden on a mountain. It was pretty cool the way Eden had used her survival skills that saved their lives. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
I enjoyed this story of 2 people stranded in a cave after a landslide. Having dated before, the couple had hurts and misgivings about each other, but the crisis drew them together. Holden realizes that he never got over Eden. Eden saves Holden's life, begins to develop feelings for him, but then discovers his secret and runs as far away from him as fast as she can. A sweet clean story with a HEA. I received a complimentary ARC of this book and have voluntarily given my honest opinion.
Eden and Holden had their chance with love five years ago, but Holden broke off their relationship. Eden does not imagine ever seeing Holden again especially not stranded on a hiking trail together. A quick, sweet read. Holden is great but Eden expects him to open up immediately. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I loved this mook about two hikers who got stranded in Hawaii. One of the hikers was injured, but they were eventually rescued and able to return home. I highly recommended this novel and want to read the next one in the series. Renee Goldberg rgoldberg227@gmail.com
Overall a great story. Things moved a little too quickly. If she had everything mostly needed why didn't she have something to start fire's with, evidently she had something to cook her lunch, why not start a fire in the cave for light and warmth. Just to many little things not right, but over all a really good read
A simple little 2nd chance sweet romance. A bit of a modern day Pride and Prejudice feel to it. Author rushed through quite a bit of the plotline, just hitting scenes that were important to the story, keeping things short and sweet.
Eden and Holden get a second chance five years after breaking up when they are caught in a life and death situation. This delightful story takes you through their struggles, insecurities, and surprises.
When Eden goes hiking and winds up in bad weather that causes a mudslide, she is surprised to be ‘caught’ by an old friend. After being stranded with this friend for 2 days in a cave, they are rescued and things in Eden’s life begin to change…in a big way!
Neither Eden nor Holden could have foreseen the consequences of taking a hike this windy spring day. Elana Johnson has put together a good plot, interesting characters and a few twists. I have enjoyed reading of the billionaires of Getaway Bay and this was a good addition to their stories.
What a way to get a second chance. Eden got caught in a mudslide right into her ex's arms. Holden couldn't believe Eden was right there with him. To bad they both were a little hurt.
Another great book in a great series. I loved Eden and Holden's story. This is a second chance romance that grabbed my attention from the beginning and left me with a smile.
I really enjoyed this wilderness survival second chance billionaire romance. There were great characters with some really I retesting experiences. I’m excited to read more of this series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There was some adventure, some excitement and a touching romance. I'm not a hicker or an adventuresome person but I enjoyed the climb up the mountain especially reaching the top.
I enjoyed watching them fall in Love again. They knew whom they wanted but do to the history they had weren’t sure if it was possible. She had been hurt but others with money and didn’t want to back a product to save people when a deaster happens.
I listened to the audio, and the narrator was awful. The story was rushed and the book was too quick. honestly it was only one scene spanned in 15 chapters. The worse was the narrator didn't put feeling into the words oh it was awful.
As always, I enjoyed reading this book by Elana Johnson! I really love the billionaires and their girlfriends. I recommend this book to anyone who likes romance books.
This was an entertaining story with a fun storyline of getting stranded in beautiful Hawaii. There was great chemistry and a happily ever after. This is a sweet, clean romance.
Good writing and editing. Great characters. Fun storyline. Fast read. Beautiful setting. Clean. Ended a little too fast but HEA it's always acceptable.
I loved this book! Imagine accidentally running into an ex while hiking and getting stranded together for days. Some things are meant to be as is in this story.
