I should have known he was bad news.
Ivy

He's got a smile as sinful as the devil himself.
Biceps and abs for days,
Plus a butt a girl could bounce more than pennies off.
But did I mention the blood pouring down his face?
Or the thugs who threw him out of the van?
Yeah, I should have stayed away.
But my heart wants what my mind knows isn’t good for me.
Damn.

Shae

Am I in heaven?
I wake up with a blue-eyed angel by my side,
And she looks at me like I’m worth something.
I don’t even know her.
And clearly, she doesn’t know me,
I’m nothing but trouble.
But her touch takes away my pain.
Her smile rocks my world.
But she can’t be with a man who kills for sport.
Yet I want her.
Here. Now. Just one more night.

Love filthy talking Irish mob bosses who can melt your panties with just a look? One More Night is a full-length standalone Irish mob romance with no cheating, no cliffhangers and a guaranteed HEA!

When Ivy gets the call that her younger brother is in the hospital after a wreck, she's beside herself with worry. Shades of her parents' fatal accident and all that. But it's in the parking lot of the hospital where she'll meet the man who changes her life. For the better? Hm, that just might be up for debate.

Shae is Eamon's (Four Nights Forever) younger brother, and now he's caught up in the feud between the Connelly family and the Italians. So him ending up being thrown from a van into the hospital parking lot isn't all that surprising. Thank God Ivy was there to help him. And to fall in love with him, too. Now she just has to figure out if she can survive with her heart intact when Shae walks away from their "casual" arrangement that began in his hospital room.

Whew, One More Night is hot! Shae and Ivy have serious chemistry, and the fast pace and continuing storyline of the feuding families is interesting and engaging. I can't wait for more of the Connellys!

This is the second book in the Connelly Crime Family however it can be read as a stand-alone. Ivy is leaving the hospital after visiting her brother when she sees Shae getting dumped out of a van. She helps him and stays with him. Sparks fly between them as they spend time together but after the death of her parents Ivy just wants a no drama life. When Ivy’s life becomes in danger because of Shae’s enemies will he be able to keep her and her brother safe without losing her? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama and great chemistry. I really liked it.

One More Night is the second book in the Connelly Crime Family Series. Ivy witnesses Shae being dumped in the hospital parking lot after being beaten up and gets him help. Ivy stays with Shae until she knows he his okay and lets his family know so they won't worry. Ivy is feeling out of sorts with her brother in the hospital after he survives a car crash. Ivy and Shae find themselves attracted to each other. Shae makes himself clear that he doesn't do relationships and wants to keep things casual. Ivy knows Shae isn't good for her, but she can't fight the attraction she has to Shae. Ivy's association with Shae makes her and her brother, Ian, targets for Shae's enemies. Can Shae keep Ivy and her brother safe from Connelly enemies? Will Shae open his heart to the love he has for Ivy, or will Shae continue to push Ivy away by his skepticism that love exists? One More Night by K.B. Winters is an amazing story chalked full of drama, violence, HOT chemistry, and lots of steamy sex. I would highly recommend getting One More Night by K.B. Winters. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.

KB, I absolutely loved this incredible story. I haven't read the first book in this series but I certainly will now. Gorgeous, bad boy Shae is the Irish Mafia boss's son. Ivy has rushed to the hospital to see her brother who has been injured in a car accident. When leaving the hospital she sees Shae being dumped out of a van. He is badly injured and Ivy saves his life. Beautiful confident Ivy is a nuturing woman and stays to make sure that Shae will be all right. When Shae finally awakens things are not exacty romantic despite the intense electrifying chemistry between the two. “One More Night” is a fast-paced roller-coaster ride with plenty of suspense, action, danger, steamy sex and finally their HEA. This book is just amazing and will without a doubt hold your interest until the final page. One-click for a fantastic reading experience.

4.5 Connelly Crime Stars 🌟

Ivy is called to the hospital, when her younger brother is in a car accident. When going out to get him food, she stumbles upon a van dumping a man at the entrance to the hospital and she calls for help. Shae wakes up to find himself in the hospital and sitting in the chair next to him a beautiful angel 😇

Shae and Ivy have an unconventional start to their relationship, much like Layla and Eamon from the first book in this series❣️ A dramatic cliffhanger for the final book in this series and I admit I can’t wait as each book seems to get better and better😍

3 stars. I liked it, enjoyed it, but it was kinda empty and could have been more.

Ivy (h) is having a rough day. While at the hospital for her brother who was in a car crash, she sees a man dropped off unceremoniously at the ER door, beaten and dumped from a van. Shae (H) is having a worse day - he's the guy who was dumped. But he's also a son of the Connelly crime family and knows exactly who took him, and has plans for revenge. If only his Good Samaritan wasn't so distracting...

This one picks up from where book 1 ended. You don't have to have read book 1 to follow everything that's going on (I haven't read it yet), but it would flesh things out a little.

This is entertaining. Lots of steam, a hefty dose of insta-love, and some mob drama thrown into the mix. Like the CAOS series from Winters, it's like an action movie to read.

That being said, this one felt kinda empty when it came to the characters. Things move very fast, for action both in and out of the bedroom. It just could have been more, if there'd been more development to the characters. Shae especially could have been a really interesting character. He hints at how dark he is, what he's capable of, but we don't really see that, and we don't really see the change that comes from falling in love, or the balance he has to find between what he has to do for the family and what he wants to do for her. I love those sorts of characters (for that reason alone, I'd love to see cousin Conor's story), so it felt like a missed opportunity.

Ivy got a bit more development. Her brother was indeed an idiot (who goes out of the hospital for a 'night out'? If you can leave, you leave!). That was part of why I liked her development - both brother and sister had some growing up. She started letting go of him, being a sister instead of a parent and starting to have her own life, and he started seeing exactly how much she'd given up for him. Made for a good start for finding middle ground. I wish we'd seen more of that development in her relationship with Shae - that one was more hormonally driven.

A few minor typos. Obvious but not so frequent that you're confused about what's happening or pulled out of the story.

Alternating 1st person POV. No cheating, no love triangles, no OW/OM drama. An innocent bystander drawn into mob drama, and the criminal wanting to protect her. Not much development for the leads or their romance. Just fast, easy, action packed escapism. HFN for the leads, but a cliffhanger to set up Rourke's story in book 3.

Would I read more in this series/by this author? Yes to both. I've enjoyed a lot of Winters' books. Not 5 star favorites everytime, but good, solid escapism reads.

With the memory of her parents' death in a car crash still stinging, Ivy is overwrought that a crash has almost taken her brother, Ian, as well. When she is given the okay to see him after surgery, she is in tears of happiness but also wants to hit him! How dare he put her in this horrific position! She shows herself to be the loving, doting sister who would do anything for her sometimes adolescent brother, however, by offering to go to a nearby diner to get him some food. When leaving the hospital, Ivy witnesses a man being thrown from a van and runs to his side. He's been beaten bloody and she springs into action to get him inside to safety. The Milano crime family is on the brink of war with the Connelly Irish mob. The Milanos want more of the pie that the Connellys control so Lorenzo Milano sends two of his grandsons, Frank and Gio, to give them a message by roughing up Shae. The last thing Shae sees before losing consciousness is Gio and Frank kicking his head. Ivy sits by his bedside, waiting for him to regain consciousness. When they make eye contact, there's an instantaneous connection but it will be interesting to see how far it goes. Shae doesn't do relationships, he does one night stands. There's a chance he might make an exception with Ivy. In the meantime, Patrick Connelly, patriarch of the Irish mob, is enraged at the audacity of the Milanos and is ready to send a message to Lorenzo. The mafia connection is tightly written and shows how close-knit the families are. Shae doesn't give up on Ivy, but seems to infuriate her when he sees her. That anger turns to passion, slowly breaking down barriers. The journey to their HEA is a definite bumpy ride. The characters are so well-written that they jump off the page and there are actually no secondary characters. They all play a major part in this book about the Connellys and there is an emerging storyline for the next book in the series. Impressive!

Ms. Winters, I bow to your creativity and I am now impatiently waiting for Rourke's book. One More Night is the most recent installment to the Connelly Crime Family series and I couldn't devour it fast enough.

I adore every single thing K.B. publishes and there is nothing better than curling up with her work. In One More Night, you get to follow Shae Connelly and Ivy. Whew, to all of my fellow romance reader's, this storyline, as well as the engaging characters, are going to scorch you. Ivy, inadvertently meets her true love while exiting the Hospital. She continually gets drawn in by Shae. Whether it is his charm & overall charisma or the danger that surrounds him... she is hooked. Ivy is going to rock Shae's world with her dismissal of him. He has never been told no and this just endears him all the more. Could it be love? He is convinced it's just lust, but why can he get her out of his thoughts? With drama and dangerous scenarios surrounding his Family as well as the combustible chemistry between them, will they make it to their happily ever after? Ivy, a strong willed woman, knows what she wants... All or nothing. She will not be used and cast aside. Read along and be as enraptured as I was with this impressive book.

I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of One More Night in exchange for my honest & voluntarily given opinion. I can not recommend this book as well as anything written by Ms. Winters more.

Who doesn't like a sexy man who is mysterious with a bit of danger?? Ivy is visiting her brother in the hospital due to him being in a car accident. This hits really close to home since their parents died in a crash as well years back. She is a bit of a hoverer when it comes to Ian since she is a bit older than he is. When she is leaving the hospital, a van comes to a stop and throws a man out of it. That's where Shae comes into the picture. The Milano's have decided to send a message to Patrick the head of the Mafia Connelly family who is Shae's father. She helps him and gets him into the hospital so he can get taken care of. The chemistry between these two is chart topping from the start. Will she let her guard down and see where she can go with a man like him? Shae has never been with a woman more than a time or two due to his job and family, will Ivy be the one to change this for him? When his enemies are after what's important to him what will be the chances of finally ending the Milano family to keep the Connelly's safe? This is book 2 in this series and an enjoyable read just like book 1. I really enjoy when authors bring in characters from previous books and since this is a mafia story, you get Eamon as well as others popping up in this story as well. I felt it was another well written book by this author and I always look forward to what is coming next. Enjoy.

Holy smokes what a story!! K.B. Winters always develops her characters perfectly and they draw me right in every.single.time!!

Poor Ivy lost her parents in a car accident and it's just her brother, Ian, and her left. When he's in an accident it freaks her out. He's gone through surgery and will recover but it doesn't make it any easier on her. She decides to go home and let him get some rest, but when she goes outside she sees a man being thrown out of a van and he's bloody and beaten up. Of course, given her sweet, caring personality she rescues him.

Shae Connelly was caught off guard and beaten severely for that. An angel saves him and he's grateful to her. It doesn't hurt that she's gorgeous. He finds out her name is Ivy and since he's a love them and leave them kind of man, he'd totally do her!

The chemistry between Shae and Ivy was amazing! But, what will happen when Ivy finds out what Shae does for a living?

Such a great story, that had me sucked in from the beginning. I was very sad to see it end, I wanted so much more! I look forward to reading Rourke's story!

With Winters no holds barred, no pulling punches and take no prisoners attitude brings this little shocker bursting to life beautifully before your eyes. This bad boy lures you in so deep with all the trials and tribulations along with it's throng of revelations really brings this treasure together spectacularly. The characters are complex, impressive and so realistic with such depth and originality its easy to relate. The scenes are written with such realism theres no trouble interpreting each scenario as they play off one another perfectly. Impressive job Winters, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.

Another good one but think the first one was better. There was a bit of a rush at the end. He needed to grovel and she needed to be less than a push over.
Shae is the younger son of the mob boss. Always with a different woman every night.
Ivy had to finish raising her younger brother when their parents died when she was in high school. She did it by herself except for a drunk uncle who only played the part when social services came around. Even started her own business working from home. Smart lady.
When she saves Shae when he is dumped in the parking lot they start to get to know each other a little bit but it was more a sexual thing than a relationship.
The writing was good and kept my attention and didn't run into any errors that jumped out at me. The only thing I wish it had more of was the gritty and raw part of a mafia.

This is book 2 in the Connelly Crime Family series and it features Shae Connelly and Ivy. Shae is one stubborn, determined man. I don’t think Ivy knew what she was getting into with him, except for one night of pleasure. Their chemistry was unbelievably explosive! I love watching these big, tough, alpha men fight the good fight against falling in love because when they fall, they fall HARD! I think my favorite part of this book/series is listening to all the guys talk when they have their get-togethers. There’s something very sexy and charming about these Irish mobsters.

This is another fantastic, smooth flowing story line and characters are absolutely fabulous. I can’t wait for the next book in the Connelly Crime Family series.

I just love these Irish mob story's. Ivy and Shae story is very good. Ivy finds him of all places a hospital parking lot where he was left for dead. Ivy was there because of her brother Ian who had been in a car wreck. Ivy just has to keep a check on Shae, and of course he doesn't mind. Shae is slowly getting better and so is Ian. Ian goes and does something stupid and leaves the hospital with his friends. The Milanos saw Ivy come out of Ian's room and they put two and two together. When they see Ian out on the town with his friends they do a number on him to send the Connely's a message. They got the message alright. When Shae was well and able to take care of business that is just what they did. This was a very good read. As usually KB did a good job on this one.

Wow! I’ve got to say I loved this book! Shae and Ivy are the best couple...cute, funny and sexy...and the secondary characters are hilarious! This is definitely not a “meet cute” story, it’s more of a “meet bloody and go from there” scenario and it works. K B Winters is an amazing storyteller and she pulled out all the stops with this book! I really don’t know how I missed the first book in this fabulous series, it’s waiting for me on my kindle right now, but I won’t be missing the rest. Looking forward to Rourke and the rest of Connelly Clan. Thanks for the fantastic read Ms. Winters, you never cease to entertain. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Shae and Ivy have a very interesting introduction. Ivy is a very compassionate person and always looking out for everyone but herself. Shae is the perfect alpha male. The chemistry between them is hot and they both agree they are not interested in anything serious just a temportary distraction. Shae's business can get dangerous and it seems that Ivy is on his enemies radar.

This is a great action packed story with all the mystery, suspence and romance you want in a book. I love the flow of the story and has a great ending. I'm a big fan of KB Winters and look forward to the next book. I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion.

I really enjoyed reading the second book in this Mafia series. when shae is rescued by a woman, his world definitely does go off-kilter. While Ivy is dealing with her own world moving and changing as well as it falling apart it's hard for her to move on and let go. When these two meet, they instantly have that attraction but it goes further. It was engaging reading their story. A wonderful couple who balance out each other, helps each other be strong and of course they had a wonderful family. The family might be a bit crazy and do things their own way but you're going to get sucked in. This is my honest review for a book I volunteered to read

And this exciting, sexy, fun series continues with Shae. This bad boy doesn’t do relationships. He doesn’t fall in love and he definitely doesn’t settle down! Or does he? When Shae meets Ivy all bets are off. She’s a good girl, a blue eyed angel that he shouldn’t want. Once with her will never be enough. But maybe one more night and she’ll be out of his system.
Shae has a cocky self assured attitude that I just love.
Ivy is a beautiful confident and Shae has finally met his match.
It’s fun watching the electric chemistry between Shae and Ivy.

This one was a bit of a downgrade from the first book in the Connelly Crime Family series.
It was an insta-love read with simple storyline and more of like erotica with many steamy scenes and not much of a character development.
I couldn’t really connect with the main characters. It was unreal for me that Ivy, who is such a caregiver and nurturer, would just so casually accept the fact that Shae is part of a mafia. The ending was also just wrapped up suddenly without much of a closure and HEA feel to it, but rather containing a teaser of the next book in this series.
Good read to pass time but nothing to write home about.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is another fabulous story by KB Winters, she certainly knows how to deliver suspenseful romances that grab you from the first page, Ivy is visiting her brother when Shae Connelly is dumped outside the hospital in front of her, all beat up and left for dead, she gets help and stays with him in the hospital until he wakes, as Ivy is visiting her brother, she also decides to keep checking on Shae, but when his enemies find him, can he protect her too?

This is the second book in the Connelly Crime Family and I am loving it, I cannot wait for book 3.

Reformed

Ivy has lost family in the past and is over protective/paranoid about her brother. At the hospital, visiting her brother Shae literally lands at her feet.
Caught up in immediate attraction and his charm, danger is never far away. Pulled into his dangerous life by lust, her brother becomes a victim in this mob war.
Shae is a love/bang/leave'em type of guy, and a tumultuous as their "non-relationship" is they can't stay away from each other.
When feelings develope, both run in differrnt directions for different reasons, but eventually the heart wins all.
Great story and characters! Bring on the next Irish charmer!

Entertaining and Engaging Read

As an avid reader of KB Winters books, I enjoy the fact that each one is an action-packed tale filled with sexy times and a plot that keeps you turning the pages in rapid succession. Shae and Ivy's story, the second book in the Connelly Crime Family series, does not disappoint as it contains all the elements of a great story - an unexpected love connection, the push/pull of strong personalities, a strong family dynamic, and an ending that has you clamoring for the next book as soon as you read "The End".

These Connelly brothers just get hotter and hotter. Ivy, who is visiting her brother, discovers Shae, beaten up, in the hospital parking lot after being dumped from a van. After seeing her brother, Ivy checks to see how Shae is. The chemistry between them is instant. Shae's mobster connections result in Ian being beaten up after he sneaks out of the hospital with friends. Shae is discharged and feels duty bound to protect Ian. at the hospital, and Ivy by moving her in with him where their relationship develops further. Another great steamy read.
