When Jodie Simpson met her long-lost sister, Louise Valentine, she didn't realize the biggest adventure of her life was about to begin. With her visa about to expire, and desperate to stay in Australia, Jodie has a plan... she'll marry for convenience! Jodie is offering a one-year marriage, with no strings attached. So why does sexy cattle rancher Heath Jameson, who is almost certainly looking for a long-term wife, want to marry her? Heath seems so sure--and so handsome--that Jodie takes the plunge. Only to fall for a convenient husband who seems to be running from the ghosts of his past... .
Australian romance author Ally Blake loves reading and strong coffee, porch swings and dappled sunshine, sparkly notebooks and soft, dark pencils.
She also adores writing love stories. Having sold over four million copies of her Harlequin Mills and Boon novels worldwide, she is living her dream.
Alongside one husband, three gloriously rambunctious kids, and too many animal companions to count, Ally lives and writes in the leafy western suburbs of Brisbane.
I enjoyed Jodie's and Heath's story. Nothing that has not been done before: in need of a permanent visa heroine marries heroe and so on. No sex right away but getting to know each other, points for that. The conflict was purely due to lack of communication and misunderstandings. Heath was very likeable. The story was good enough to keep me interested.
Jodie Simpson wants to stay in Australia, but her visa is fast running out, can she find a hubby and stay married for a couple of years to satisfy the Government and become an Australian Citizen?
4 Stars! ~ This is the fourth installment in the Bella Lucia series. Ally Blake has a talent for breathing spark and sizzle into her characters. Heath and Jodie leap off the pages and take up residence in your heart. Both Heath and Jodie have had to be the responsible ones in their families and it's played a toll on their personal lives. Learning that it's okay to lean on someone and to give their hearts proves a tough task, but they quickly find that a life without the other, isn't a life at all. Great lovestory!
This is the first Ally Blake book I've read and I'm left wondering why I've never read her before.
Wanted: Outback Wife is the fourth book in THE BRIDES OF BELLA LUCIA series. Jodie Simpson is a warm heroine with many qualities that readers will identify with. Heath makes a gorgeous hero with hidden depths. Ally brings out the best of both character's and leaves the reader caring about what happens to them. A heart-warming enjoyable romance that leaves you with the feel-good factor.
