Another wonderful story! All of the Eden Falls series have been so fun. I love a good, clean romance with a happy ending and a few exciting events in between. You'll have to read it to get to the exciting event...it's on fire!
Stella finds out her boyfriend of 2 years is not who she thinks he is, nor is she the only woman, and in small town Eden Falls the whole town knows too. Rowdy who has wanted to date Stella for 2 years is trying to wait until Stella is ready for dating to ask but he also has to overcome his reputation with the ladies that everyone believes, including Stella. As Stella is recovering from her shock and feelings of guilt she works her summer job at the florist , helps redo a float and runs into Rowdy a lot. This is a good, clean, fast read. I liked Rowdy, he is a strong character who treats Stella well. Stella is a strong character and keeps Rowdy on his toes. I would read other books In the series and by this author.
I started the series with this book so that could be an issue, but with all of the backstories included in this one, I don’t think I missed much. I thought the shoulder angel was a bit much and distracting. The story was a bit all over the place. Did Rowdy and know each other well or not?? He said he would wait for her…then rushed the ending. I thought everyone was rude, but apparently that’s “just how they are” with each other. The side stories took away from the main story. I just didn’t enjoy it.
Another great book in this series about Eden Falls and some of its inhabitants. This one tells of a long love between two friends and how they managed to keep friends after all the gossip about the star and his love. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill
Stella is unsure about a romance with Rowdy because she assumes the rumours she has heard are true. He steadfastly shows she is wrong. Just as she is beginning to believe, her life is endangered. Both Rowdy and Stella are strong characters and it is fun watching their romance blossom.
Stella is getting over the fact that the guy she thought was here was married with kids. Rowdy helps her pick up the pieces, he's had his eye on her for a while. Can she let him in? Meanwhile JT gets his hands on the arsonists.
This was my first Tina Newcomb novel. Enjoyed it so much, ended up investing in a few more from this series. Loved Stella and Rowdy. Stella was stunned to find her boyfriend of two years had wife and kids and another name. She took the high road and moved on with the help of friends, including Rowdy. An engaging development of characters and their relationship. It's a clean romance series, for readers who have that preference. Books are standalone stories, though you'll meet other towns people and characters along the way.
