Cats and rabbits, dogs and ducks, horses and goats and a pig and bison pair are just a few ODD COUPLES featured in this charming, chock-full-of-facts tome. There's a dog breed that is a national treasure in South Korea. The first ever cat and dog duo to hike the almost-500 mile Camino de Santiago is featured. There are THREE types of Golden Retrievers. I know a group of lions is a pride, but I just learned that a group of tigers is a streak, while a group of monkeys...a barrel!

Seeking something for my self-professed "non-readers", I stumbled onto this gem. I've already had the indubitable pleasure of introducing it to one class where, I do believe, it was well-received.

Oh--and the pictures do make it absolutely perfect.

This is L's book (of course!). We occasionally read about 3-4 "odd couples" at bedtime. These seem to be mostly stories pulled from the internet, but it's still cute with fun pictures for animal lovers. The girls do a lot of ooohing and awwwwing when we read this.
