This book took me a lot longer than the others. I wanted to savor it because I know it would be worth it !! This was my absolute favorite in this little series of 5 books. If you know about any books with Druids , Highlanders or beautiful wolf shifters swing it my way.

Book five in the Druid series!! I am so happy!! This is one of my favourites and I love the theme that flows through all of the books in this series.
A giant family of Werewolf immortal druids that protect the world, brothers and cousins fighting all the things that go bump in the night and finding their ‘true mate’ along the way. The ladies in question are always magical and sassy and spunky... the men in question are rough and rugged and oh so smexcy! But fall head over heels hard for their women.
Duncan o’cara is no different! His internal monologues and foot in mouth moments were absolutely divine. After finding himself returning to a dive bar in a town, on the 19th anniversary of the last time he was there is no mistake.. neither is finding Catrina... his true mate. They are connected and have been since he rescued her from a demon 19 years earlier. My only minor minor grumble was that the ending was so abrupt... I would have adored a epilogue to tide me over until the next book in this series comes... oh please let it be Liam and Maria’s story!! 🙌🏻💯

I devoured this tale in just two days. That's fast for me. I found that if I had to step away from the book, I got withdrawl symptoms and had to rush back as soon as I could! As usual, Many M. Roth's story-telling abilities shine through. Superb! I was honored to receive an ARC copy of this outstanding book. The opinions expressed here are my own.
This is another of the stories of the O'Caha: Duncan our Hero and his cousin Liam. I am hopeful we will get Liam's story next. Duncan is over 700 years old and is a powerful alpha-male druid sorcerer and shapeshifting werewolf. Now that is a mouthful. He is tall, dark-haired handsome, strong, and has learned much over his long life. Nineteen years ago he fought a powerful demon, he was able to save their small child, but unfortunately he arrived too late to save the parents. This time he will heed his dreams and hopefully get there in time to keep the demon from killing off others in the magik world that fuels the demon.
Catrina Pollard witnessed the murder of her parents nineteen years ago. She has been researching everything she can on the demon known as the harvestor, and how to hopefully, finally kill it. She does not have much confidence that she will suceed where her powerful parents failed, but she is more than willing to die in the effort.
She works the evening shift at an old run-down bar in rural Ohio. The bar appears to be a hot-spot for paranormals. When she enters the bar to begin her shift, Duncan is already there and is quickly besotted by the sight of her. Of course, Liam teases him about his infatuation. He has a hard time believing the tiny girl he saved is the now grown gorgeous woman he and his wolf want.
Liam is the primary one to provide comic relief in this story. I love how Mandy Roth is able to mix in bits of humor with the tense atmosphere the demon brings to the pages. Mandy is a fantastic story-teller. I've yet to read a story of hers that did not rate a "5". This one is no exception. BRAVO!

this is a standalone with no cliffhanger book, which is part of the Druid Series, and I truly recommend that you read this in series order, starting with Sacred Places.
Duncan O'Caha is a 700 year old very sexy alpha male druid who is also a shifter like his brother's and cousin's, Duncan's other half is a wolf. He has returned to a village his visited 19 years ago to finish off the demon who managed to evade and escape him back then. The dreams have returned, and this time he has taken heed of them and acted instantly. Unlike 19 years ago he was too late arriving and a little girl lost both her parents to the demon, unable to save her parents Duncan took the girl to the only woman he knew and trusted to get her the help needed, this woman was none other than his grandmother and matriarch to the O'Caha family. As time has gone by Duncan has often wondered what become of that little girl.
Catrina has returned to the village where she lost her parents to a demon when she was a little girl. When she's not waitressing at the most awful pub in the town, she is studying hard at 'The Library', though this is no ordinary library, here Catrina is researching everything she can find about this demon and how to kill it, for Catrina is back in town for revenge, and she will do it, or she will die trying.
The only problem is Catrina never expected to run into the most sexist man alive, who is able to stir feelings and make her mind turn to mush with just a look..
This is a five star read and an absolute must for your kindle.

Duncan is a sexy Scottish highlander wolf shifter from the large O’Caha clan. He is also 700 yr. old powerful alpha Druid sorcerer who tends to be a loner besides the families close ties to each other. He regrets letting one demon get away that slaughtered the parents of a young girl. Duncan brought the traumatizes child to his grandmother who found her a loving home. For some reason he Ian ring dean back to the small town where this happened 19 years prior.
Catrina Pollard is now a young women who is determined to kill the demon who murdered her parents. She has been studying and preparing for years and now feels he will be returning soon. With Duncan now in the same town as Carina they meet in the bar she works in. They are unaware he is the male who saved her years ago but when the sparks fly between they join together (along with cousin Liam) to defeat the demon.
The story was very entertaining, exciting , sexy and can be read as a stand alone although the series is very enjoyable as well.

About 20 years ago, Immortal Highlander Druid Duncan was too late to save a couple from demons but he saved their wee lass from the same fate. Fast forward 19 years later and Catrina is all grown up. She is now a slayer, determined to prevent what happened to her family happen to others. Duncan and his cousin Liam run into her and the fireworks spark... Duncan is too stubborn to admit that Catrina's his mate. What will this sexy alpha do when his mate's sassy , stubborn and ready to be in the line of fire ? Get ready for action, passion, heat, drama, angst , twists, turns, humor and paranormal romance that's out of this world fantastic!!! The characters are outstanding and they bring the heat and heart!!! I hope Liam gets his own story soon !!!

UPDATE 4/15/21: I LISTENED TO THE AUDIO AND LOVED IT EVEN MORE THAN THE BOOK. I CAN'T RESIST SCOTTS ACCENTS: EITHER READ OR LISTEN JUST DON'T MISS IT. --Duncan, wolf-shifter, Druid, and very hot, has returned to the scene of the crime. His personal failure to destroy an evil demon before he kills another family like the one 2 decades ago. His only failure demon chasing and protecting those who cannot protect themselves.
He calls on his cousin, another powerful druid. They sense the evil coming. Ducan is distracted by the pretty waitress in the bar they wait and plan their attack. She doesn't look like she belongs in this place where wearing a clean Tshirt is overdressed.
Both Catrina and Ducan fight their pull and keep their secrets.
Action, humor, evil creatures, all brought together with amazing characters and a visit from another family member who will make you laugh and hear his story.
He calls on his cousin, another powerful druid. They sense the evil coming. Ducan is distracted by the pretty waitress in the bar they wait and plan their attack. She doesn't look like she belongs in this place where wearing a clean Tshirt is overdressed.
Both Catrina and Ducan fight their pull and keep their secrets.

I loved this book BUT I wish it was longer! Great story, great characters and I couldn't put it down!

When Duncan & Catrina meet it's like Duncan starstruck or just awestruck..he can't seem to remember that somethings aren't meant to be said out loud only thought!
The demon that attacked Catrina's parents is back and wants HER this time but hopefully with her friends and the new ones she has met there is enough magical help.

Duncan wasn't quick enough to save the parents of the little girl he saved almost 20 years ago, but he did manage to deliver the bairn to safety. Duncan is a superb mix of Alpha male, Sorceror and Shifter - he is the uber-male specimen!
Catrina Pollard is now all grown up and even though she is 100% human she has been researching demons in the hope of killing the thing that murdered her parents. With her mundane job at a bar to keep her modest finances afloat, she never reckoned on meeting the tall, dark and decidedly mysterious Duncan!
Duncan is equally drawn to Cat but fails to realise that she is the child he rescued all those years ago. His cousin Liam is not above giving him extreme grief over his infatuation! Liam is a great comedy foil, even though he is also a bad-ass warrior druid!

Catrina Pollard's mom was one of the best slayer that has ever been her father was a very powerful sorcerer. She herself has power.
On the 19th anniversary of the death of her parents who were murdered by a demon. Catrina came back to town where they died. Because it was time for the demon to return.
Duncan returned to because of nightmares from the night he couldn't save a husband and wife from a demon but he save thier daughter.
At a bar he meets Cartrina they are drawn together. Mates. I can't tell you more it would mess with the fun of reading it. This story has awesome characters lots of action, spice, drama, mystery, intrigue, fun and so much more. I didn't want this story to end! Don't miss it. Very Entertaining
Loved this story about Duncan and Catrina.
A few decades ago Duncan was in the town he is currently in, fighting some bad demon and dark mages. He wasn’t quick enough to save the parent of a little girl who fought off the demon but he was able to save the girl. Now years later he is back with the feeling that something was coming and he is right where he needs to be.
A few decades ago Catrina was saved by her knight in shining armor but lost her parents. She has trained so she can fight that same demon if she ever gets the chance.
This story is a very well written and entertaining to read. It is a self-contained story that’s also part of a series.
I highly recommend this story to read.

I really enjoyed this, once again Ms. Roth has enthralled me with humor, lust. hot alpha males and strong sexy women to beguile them.
Catrina is a young untrained slayer who has returned to the scene of her parents murder by a demon nineteen years ago. She is bound and determined to kill it permanently so it won't harm another ever again.
Duncan is a druid sorcerer as we as a wolf shifter. He too is drawn to the site believing that the demon might well show up again. He is determined it will not get away. He is mesmerized upon seeing Cat.
Will these two get together and will they defeat the demon. Grab a copy and find out as I will not be telling.

YES! I have been waiting for another book in the Druid series and this one did not disappoint. It had action, heat, and oh yeah a few funny moments. Duncan and Catrina are mates, but Duncan is in denial... big time.. Liam to call grandmother. Catrina's parents were killed 19 years ago by a demon and now she wants revenge. Duncan wants to kill the demon that murdered a young couple and caused their daughter to be left alone. Hmmmmmm do you see where this is going?? I hope so. No spoilers! I loved this book and it hooked me almost from the very beginning.

Mandy never disappoints. From the beginning she pulls you in and doesn't let you go. I could not put this book down. Duncan is in a town hoping to prevent history from repeating itself. Catrina is back wanting to get revenge on the thing that killed her parents. When they first meet there is instant attraction but little do they know the other is anything but human. This story is full of action, comedy and heat. I highly recommend reading this on its own and if you haven't read the rest of the series, go back and read them as well. You don't have to in order to understand this story but it will be worth your time.

I was introduced to this series via the audiobooks. They were a great listen and when this one is available, I'll listen to it too.

This was the 5th book in the Druid series. I really like this series. However, for me this book was a bit slow at the beginning. There were a lot of details that bordered on the side of almost too much information. And when the action did start it felt like it was over too quickly. The characters were funny. Duncan was the standard alpha male with all tendencies. And Catarina was sweet, but a little foolish. The story had a good amount of action and the secondary characters, Liam and Maria were hilarious. I will definitely continue to read this series. And I am really hoping that Parth gets a book even though he’s not an O’Caha.

If you’re looking for a fast pace and sexy read look no further! This book was a quick listen and allowed for me to escape for a few hours into the Druid shifter world.
Duncan and Catrina are a great couple. My heart went out to Catrina as she suffered at a very young age and she has persevered. I enjoyed the plot and I would have love the battle with the demon to have been a bit longer because it was great reading the scene. I would recommend this book to mature readers as it does have sexual language and scenes. The narrator, D. C. Cole did a wonderful job. I have come to enjoy the books he narrates. The array of voices and inflections he uses are superb!

Now he and his cousin Liam are back in the town where it happened. Both know the demon will be returning to feed and both are determined to destroy it. Catrina is all grown up and has returned to the town to get justice for her parents. When she and Duncan meet it's magic and fated mates. Story is fast paced and thoroughly enjoyable.

I love how Mandy Roth can fit so much story into such a short time frame (or book). She never fails to drawl you in no matter the story in such a fast paced storyline that always has some heat! Duncan sweeps you up in is wonderful Scottish ways and very alpha drive. While you can’t help but love Katrina who is a girl on a mission! Paranormal goodness tied up with a pretty little bow of good vs evil! And the narrator did wonderful. That Scottish accent. Excuse me while I fan myself! A beautiful story with a wonderful voice!

I can not rave enough about this author and her writings. The characters are just phenomenal. You have the Manly Alpha's who love to carry on and have fun. The bantering within this book has you chuckling right along side them. Duncan and Liam set the stage in this book, with their canny Scottish sass. When it comes to action though, I think the Lass, Catrina put them in their places. Looking forward to many more amazing books.

Druid series book 5. Well worth the wait. Duncan and Catrina are drawn back to a place from their connected past but don't remember each other. Add in crazy Liam and some other mythical stuff and now let the fun begin. This book is passionate, funny and hella dramatic. I need a book where all the O'Cahara get together, now that would awesome.

It has been a while since I’ve caught up with the druids in this series. I had the pleasure of reacquainting myself with them, specifically this time Duncan. Duncan is drawn to Catrina. And she is all grown up and ready to hunt. They have a quick paced action in this book along with sparking. There is good humor and snark all around and a good path was laid down for what will hopefully be another book. It was an entertaining read.

I read the first two books of this series many years ago and almost forgot about it, but hoped to see another book. I definitely was not disappointed. After all what is there not to like about a sexy highland werewolf? Duncan and Catrina are really appealing characters, the dialogue is witty and engaging, and the plot is full of action and steamy love scenes. I just can't get enough of this author's books!

Duncan is your typical immortal highlander if there's any such thing. The blend of past and present foibles make for an often humorous dialogue. Catrina is a demon slayer but shields her abilities. The two have a past but aren't aware of it. The spark is combustible from the moment they meet. Such a hot fast paced read with a very cute ending.

I have so many favorite books by Mandy and this one tops the list. The characters keep you on your toes through the pages with their laughter, loving and fighting of evil. I couldn't put this book down and read it in one sitting. After falling in love with Duncans story I can't wait for Liam to get his. This book is action packed and cold cloth worthy. This is a definite must read.
