Historia fácil y entretenida de leer. Justo para pasar un día tratando de no pensar nada, o quitarse un bloqueo lector.

This was a light, but pleasant and delightful little story. It was perfect for my mood of the moment, where I'm very low on energy and need a break from my more complicated current read.

Everyone is a little too perfect - the 12 year old with a chip on his shoulder about not knowing his father gets over it and adores Alex much too quickly for example - but I went into this for an escapist fantasy and that's exactly what I got.

Alex is heroic and noble and perfect and Darrel spends all her time trying to do what is best for everyone else, but again, they fit perfectly in this lovely little tale.

I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I'm a sucker for royalty stories. I like the fantasy of it (the reality I suspect can be pretty awful) and that's a lot of what got me to pick this one up. I'm glad I did. It was exactly what I needed at the time and I'm going to read and enjoy some more Rebecca Winters books I'm sure.

Matrimony With His Majesty

Fate is quite wicked at times. Here she was a young woman in the arms of a prince for one night. Years later her sister finds said prince, now a king. She lets him know that her son is his. He is to be married to a princess. What will happen? Will the marriage go off as planned? What if the son? What if his kingdom?

I was somewhat disappointed in the ending... it seemed like the author was in a hurry to finish up the book.

Extra 1/2 star.

I was enjoying it right up until the end when it felt like the author just realised that her deadline was in a few minutes and rushed a quick ending. :(

Actually better than most of this type, still too fluffy. But it attempted to get into something not quite so fairy tale.
