Very nice novella length romance with charming sweetness, nice warm feelings and happiness.
Up and coming Hollywood actor Tavian shadows blue-collar construction worker Ash for a week in order to prepare for his participation in a new film.
At first there was the classic socioeconomic cultural clash, but soon the story takes off into more unexpected territory of past heartbreaks, trust issues, the burden of poverty vs. comforts taken for granted by the more privileged. I came to love both characters (Ash in particular) and every single interaction and conflict between them rang true rather than contrived, their personalities rich and layered. There were some smoking hot construction site steamy scenes too.

Another novella I wish was full length. Hard Hats & Hollywood was just so cute, sexy, and also had surprising depth.
This is told from Tavian's pov only. An actor that's assigned to Ash at the construction site he's visiting/working at for a week to prepare for a role in a movie he's going to be in.
Little bit of grumpy/sunshine, social differences.
It wraps up nicely, I had a smile on my face.
Just could have used so much more time with them.
I got this as a free novella for signing up for Leighton Greene's emails. She is the author of some of my absolute favorite mafia dark romance series'; I recommend them sosososo much.

I really enjoyed this one about two people from different worlds who couldn't help but fall for one another. Tavian was an actor in an indie film so was volunteering to work for his uncles construction bussiness for research for the movie.His uncle had him work side by side by a hot construction worker name ash who seemed to share the same attraction to tavian. Ash has been hurt before by a guy like tavian so learned to guard his heart to prevent it from ever getting hurt again. I really enjoyed this one even though ash drove me crazy with all his insecurities. I mean I understood where he is coming from but it took him a while to realize that tavian wasnt that other guy. Tavian was a good guy who really cared for ash and was willing to pit his feelings out there and refused to give up on him. Ash was pretty hard on tavian at times but I'm glad it all worked out for the best in the end. This was a really fun and cute read. It had a few hot and steamy scenes in there as well. I look forward to reading more from this author!

This was really cute! I probably won't remember it in a little while but it brought me a lot of smiles while I read it. I liked that the expected/usual roles were reversed, it's always nice to see that. I'm not entirely sure I believed Tavian giving up a lot of the cush in his life, and I'm not really sure what that was supposed to prove since it wasn't like it put him on a level financially as Ash, but other than that I enjoyed this a lot.

After thoroughly enjoying a previous book by this author I looked forward to reading this shorter one. Quite different, this being contemporary and the other a Noir 1950's style, but it was still a great read. The friendship, and then some, that grew between Tavian and Ash is both sweet, after a false start that is, funny, and sexy. They clicked. But Ash has his hangs ups, he's been hurt badly before, by someone a lot like Tavian. Will this ruin their relationship?

Sweet! Tavian, actor researching for a role and Ash, out construction worker fit. This is a nice story. Tavian is a good guy who gets better. Fun story. The characters are sweet. You want to get to know the crew better because they are so supportive and understanding. A little bit of angst makes the story zing. Nicely done. I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.

Ok, nothing great. I didn’t really warm up to Tavian and only liked Ash a little. There might have been potential in this story had their relationship ever progressed beyond just sex.

Quelle surprise! From the cover and title I expected fluffy and sexy. Instead, this novella had depth and feels. It had a serious vibe in many places. The sex was there almost from the start, which was another surprise. I expected construction worker Ash’s aloof manner to last for awhile. In a way it did in that he wanted Tavian from the beginning, but kept his feelings hidden along with rules like ‘no butt stuff.’ Tavian wasn’t put off by Ash’s ‘rules’ too much as he was just as attracted. The attraction wasn’t enough to keep the cracks from happening in this odd couple relationship of entitled nice guy actor and hard working and closed off blue collar guy. Their differences led to a months long Ash instigated break up and there were no scenes of that time apart.
They came back together in a good way, with openness from Ash and the ongoing affection of Tavian. The sex was hot, the writing was good. Read at Book Funnel.
