A sassy, funny omega looking for his mate and his muse...
Betrayed by his love and dropped from his record deal, musician Ishmael Ivory escaped five years ago to the middle of nowhere, Oregon, to start over. He's lost his inspiration for composing music ever since. To mask his pain, he’s become the life of the party in the small town of Orchard Ridge.
When Damien Burns hires Ishmael as a music teacher for his nephew, the whirlwind romance that follows hits all the right notes. Even Ishmael’s long-dormant musical inspiration has returned. But with love comes a high chance of heartbreak, and his reputation around town threatens to ruin everything. Can he convince Damien to give their relationship a fighting chance?
A devoted single dad alpha in over his head...
Straight-laced accountant Damien Burns is new in town. The organized, disciplined alpha constantly strives to better himself, but he struggles with his biggest challenge yet: taking care of his young orphaned nephew, Peter. Unfortunately, Peter’s new piano instructor, Ishmael Ivory, is too irresistible to keep at a respectable distance.
Damien has too much on his plate to even think about finding a mate, but his instant connection with the charismatic omega leads him to make some irresponsible choices—and he fears his rash behavior and its consequences might end up hurting his little nephew.
Will he and Ishmael risk everything to forge a future together? Can Damien learn to trust something as instinctual and uncharted as his own heart?
Love Song is a stand-alone, 66k, single dad, non-shifter gay mpreg, small town romance and is the second book in the Orchard Ridge Omegas series. It contains high heat, low angst, a HEA, lots of adorable pregnancy/baby scenes, and many cameos by the characters from the first book!
Wow I really loved my first book WHOLE AGAIN by this author. But I enjoyed this one equally as much for different reasons. The first was a bit darker and sadder. This one LOVE SONG was more upbeat, despite tragic circumstances that ultimately bring the main characters together. The characters are well drawn out. And you can read this book without reading the first, but why would you want to?
This book touched on many tropes that resonated with me. The difficulties of becoming a sudden parent to a grieving preteen. How a small town can be a hotbed of life, lies, and scandal, some true others made up - all with the potential to cause hurt. Losing one's muse and becoming a one hit wonder. Moving for a much needed fresh start. The problems incurred when you work hard at finding your fated mate and not settling for anything less. The wisdom of a young man's view of the adult world and the shenanigans they get into that make their lives more difficult more than necessary. Fear of being a horrible dad / uncle. Love at first sight and the impossibility of trying to fight it. Music can be express so many emotions from anguish to a heart bursting with joy.
There are some hilarious moments in this story and some poignant ones as well. I thought it would take me awhile to read this book, but it flowed so well that it ended sooner than I wanted. If you love Mpreg, puppies, cats, pianos, holiday parties, and believe in true love & Happily Ever Afters I highly recommend this book.

This is the second book in the Orchard Ridge Omega Series and can be read as a standalone.
I’ve been looking forward to reading Ishmael’s story and the author didn’t disappoint.
I adored Ishmael’s vibrant and bubbly personality yet there was a sadness in his eyes. His yearning for a mate and a family pulled on my heartstrings.
Damien was sweet, caring yet protective. Peter was his main priority and rightfully so yet his little family still felt incomplete. A big piece of his life is still missing; will he find his missing half?
Ishmael and Damien had amazing chemistry; it was intense, consuming and hot.
This was a beautiful story and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to reading the next book.
Good storytelling! Ishmael wrote songs from his soul, but lost his muse. He longed for a mate and a family above all else. Damien made Peter his priority and took care of his family, but still felt empty. Peter had a unique perspective on the adult world. Can Ishmael and Damien comfort and heal each other? Can they stand strong in the face of a small town personna? This was a nice story with well fleshed out characters to whom we could relate and fall in love. Nicely done! I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.
I think I like this one even more than the first book and that’s saying a lot. I love this little town and it’s residents and who couldn’t have a sweet spot for Ishmael! I can’t wait for the third book.
so interesting and heartbreaking.. very good story and well written. very good storyline and the writing of the emotions were real and raw. i enjoyed this
