This was a fun add on to the Time Paradox audiobook (no idea if it was in the physical addition too, I literally had no idea this existed until yesterday so I also had no idea what to expect. It was fun getting to "see" some old familiar faces from earlier on in the series and what these few chapters made me realise is that I would totally be down to read a story from Holly's pov, even though she's more of a "conventional" protagonist compared to Artemis Fowl.

A very fun little short story. Turnball is one of the best villains in the series. I can't help but notice that like the entire fairy society seems absurdly patriachy.

This short story takes us back to Holly’s initiation into LEP. It’s refreshing not to have Artemis around for a change and to just focus on her. We don’t just get to see the LEP initiation and Holly at the start of her career, but also the beginning of her relationship with Commander Root. Commander Root is a crucial part of the initiation and the story. We get to learn more about him and his brother who is the main villain here (rather than Opal, that’s also refreshing).

For someone who meant so much to Holly Commander Root didn’t get much space in the novels. That’s why it’s so nice to come full circle with this book. In the short story we get a glimpse of that special relationship at its beginning and in Time Paradox that precedes it Holly gets the chance to say her farewells while going back in time with Artemis. It’s a nice celebration of his character and a closure for Holly.

This was a nice short story pleasantly found at the end of the 6th Artemis Fowl book, The Time Paradox. Originally part of the Artemis Fowl Files, but I think that's pretty obvious already. Anyway, like the story, I'll keep this review short and sweet. It was refreshing to a simple story with these characters, and not have the entire world or something like that be at stake. I really liked Root here, and the final couple of pages were the cherry on top.

This tale follows Holly as she takes the final test to become a member of LEPRecon, and its first ever female officer. It was a fun, non-Artemis involved adventure showing Julius Root in combat form and also how Holly has never really been one for rules. She's resourceful, faced with no magic and no ability to use any weapons despite the lives on the line. It also introduces a villain for ARTEMIS FOWL AND THE ATLANTIS COMPLEX, hence it's been included in the re-issue of the preceding book!

LEPrecon is a short story at the end of 'Artemis Fowl and the Time Paradox' about how Holly became the first female recon officer. I like how we got to learn how Holly was initiated and also how her relationship with Commander Root began. I also liked Turnball as a villain and wonder if he will return in either of the last two books
