I read first two books some time before, but I wasn't in mode to start reading book 3, right after them. Not that story wasn't interesting, it is just that I didn't feel in Mob mode. But yesterday, I needed some big, bad mafios and this one was my first pick.
Really good choice from my side, I must say.

After all problems and fights Micha and Lauren are finally together. And not just together in relationship like a girlfriend/boyfriend. Well, not for long. You see, Micha has a surprise. And do I need to say that surprise contains a ring?

But, even with wedding coming soon, old enemies are still there, and they are just waiting for opportunity to strike. Oh, they will have it. And their actions, things what they did and what they plan to do, will leave Lauren and Micha to fight for each other. Because in their cruel life's,most of the time, love is only things worth of fight.

But, however much I liked main characters, I must say that Luka and Klaus stole my breath away. I see that Luka story is next and I'm excited so much to read about this smart, strong and most of all- crazy character.

Klaus was my favourite of favourites characters there. He is getting his book in new series ''Den of Mercenaries'' of this author. I can't really tell you why I love Klaus so much, and don't give you any spoilers when you read this one (because if you love Mob's stories even a little you will), and I'm sure you will love Klaus as much as I do. His story is so sad, but his fight is amazing.

Son on the end, I only can say that I'm planning with finishing reading this series and than ''Den of Mercenaries''.Definitely must read.

P.S. I forgot to add: When we talk about Mob's books, Russian Mob is my favourite. One of the reason is their language. They are few similarities with Russian and my first language- Bosnian. Like when Klaus said ''Oko za oko''. Eye for a eye.

"How long do you think you can cheat death?"
"And what business of that is yours, Agent Green?"
She chuckled, shaking her head as though she found him amusing. "None, but do remember that those closest to you will not be as lucky."
Mishca's jaw clenched, but he made no move to go near her, despite what the nearby officers seemed to think. "Is that a threat?"
Agent Green leaned forward until they were eye level, her lips turning up at the corners. "And what of your wife, Volkov? How long do you think she has before someone leaves her in pieces for you to find?"

Klaus studied her for several moments before shaking his head, seeming baffled by her answer. “What are you going to do next time?” Klaus asked her. “You have to know this won’t be the only threat on his life. Are you just going to pay someone to take care of it, like the Russians did to your father? You're no better than them, are you?”
This time, she didn't stop him when he tried to walk away. He had gotten what he wanted from her.

“Mish isn’t going to be happy about that,” she said to him...

"If you try to kill a Volkov, make sure you kill him the first time--and if you're stupid enough to betray him, there is no place on earth you can hide. They'll find you...and they never forget."

“Are you afraid?” Luka asked as he crouched down beside him, his lips turning up in the corners as he reached for the butterfly knife in his pocket. “Shh, I won’t hurt you.”
The words were like second nature to him as he saw the fear finally enter his eyes. It was a heady feeling, having this kind of control over another life. It wasn’t something Luka took for granted.
“If it makes it any easier, I’ll go slow.”

“I love you,” he said blowing out a breath as though he was gathering his nerve, “and I promise to never let anything like that happen to you again, not so long as you’re with me.” His hand slipped free of her wrist, both hands capturing her own as he gave them a slight squeeze. “Do you believe that?”
“Yes, of course.”
“And you trust me?”
“Mish, yes, but—”
“And you love me?”
It was that that made her notice him moving slightly back from her, his eyes trained directly on her face. In that split moment, she knew. She knew exactly what he would ask her next.
“Yes, I love you,” she said back, watching as he dropped down to one knee.
Her heart beat ten times faster at the sight of him kneeling in front of her. Everything was so silent around them that she knew the others were watching, but she didn’t care about them, not now.
A small smile tilted the corner of his lips as he lifted a shoulder and asked, “Ty vyydesh' za menya?--Will you marry me?”
It was the way he did it, so innocently that made her laugh earnestly, not even caring that she had started crying. He let go of her right hand, the same one he had put the bracelet on, and on one of the links was a beautiful diamond ring, a single solitaire in the center of it.
Lauren met his eyes, saw the vulnerability he tried to keep hidden. There was never a doubt in her mind that she would say ,”Yes, yes I’ll marry you.”

Not a standalone

This story needed some editing, but it was a good ending to the trilogy. I'm excited to read the spin-offs. All the characters have a piece of my heart, and I hope they all get a good ending!

OH.MY.GOD
RO-LLER-CO-AS-TER!

Okay...

I DOnt know!

Give me your pain, Mish. Just let it go.”

“Tell me,” he said when he was at her back, “what do you see when you look out at the water?”
“Endless possibilites.”
His lips were ghosting over the shell of her ear, and she could feel the smile pulling at them, making goosebumps break out all over her arms. “That’s how I see us.”

5 "There's a new boss in town" stars!!

This book was a fantastic tale of the turmoil and mayhem that hovered and almost devoured Lauren and Mishca's lives. I'm pretty sure there's more to come, considering Klaus and Luka get their own stories as well.

Bratva politics. Vengeance. Assassins. Feds. Betrayal. Grief. Love. Friendship. Loyalty. Family. Murder plots. Action. Lots and lots of action.

Lauren and Mishca were put through the wringer in this book and it was great to see them come through it all stronger than ever.

I'm extremely interested in Luka's story, not so much for his romance with Alex (Mishca's sister/cousin), but because I want to know his secrets. They were alluded to in this story and it seems they're terrible enough to warrant Mishca killing him over them. What could they be???

Klaus definitely intrigues me. His homicidal banter with Mishca. The way he seems to soften around Lauren. Even his way with Luka makes me smile. I absolutely need to know more about him. Especially because I need to know who his latest job is.

Shocking to see that Alex so readily forgave Lauren for divulging the truth of her heritage! Couldn't be me...

The pleasant and silly banter between Luka and--well--just about everyone, had me smiling every time. He's one of those characters who can soften the hard edges of any situation.

The ending felt a bit anti-climactic to me, though I did enjoy reading this series. The way in which Mikhail was so readily pushed out didn't resonate strongly with me; it felt too easy for Mishca to just slide into his father's position of power. I would've liked to see more blood, tension, and retribution on Mishca's part.

I liked the progression of Lauren and Mischca's relationship and this book left me with the feeling that their marriage would only continue to strengthen. With Lauren no longer in the dark about her husband's lifestyle, the dialogue between them was more mature, as compared to the prior books in this series. Lauren's character seemed more cemented and settled, content. Another great read!

Took a quite a while for me to get through this one but was nothing to do with the book, it’s one of the best in my opinion when it comes to mafia books, I just took so long reading do to Christmas being busy and an ill family member.

I loved Lauren and Mishca’s tale, even preferred this series to The Den series.

The editing. Again. I guess I just have to stop complaining and get used to it. But when the author accidentally drops her name, "London" instead of "Lauren" it's pretty obvious!

It was ok. Interesting in ways. Lauren was such a doormat this time around. Disappointing, yes Mishca is going through a lot but he acts as those she doesn't exist.

And the way mishca all of a sudden becomes a Pakhan, didn't make sense. Why was Mikali exiled? Why was it so anti climatic? Where was the blood and bullets?

And Mishca isn't as bad ass as the author wants us to think. He's so emotional. I want a bad ass mofo who takes no ones shit.

Doubt

Great series. Really not what I expected. I think say that a lot in my reviews, but I have a lot doubts about some books, when I read reviews on them. For some reason I was expecting some the characters from Season of Betrayal series. Knowing this series came out before.

Now I have doubt about this. I should have read it sooner

The Final Hour (Volkov Bratva #3)
By: London Miller
5/5 stars

The conclusion to Mishca & Lauren’s story was quite the ride! I have loved them from the beginning and really hope that this isn’t their last book. I’m sure we’ll see them in the other characters’ books since they are central characters.

For a time, all is well in the Volkov Bratva and time passes relatively quietly for Lauren & Mishca. They are moving forward in their relationship and their lives. Not everyone is happy for them in their love, but for the most part, those people don’t cause waves, only voicing their opinion. But when you’re in love like Mish & Lauren, opinions don’t matter.

But when the past starts to come back to haunt them and Mishca is targeted, Lauren has to step into the role of protector and avenger to head off any more enemies who may come out of the wood work. And she seeks help from an unlikely source…one who would rather see Mishca dead than work to save his life. But he accepts Lauren’s contract.

The enemies are plenty. At the end of book 2, Until the End, Anya (Mishca’s step-mom & Alex’s mom) was exiled by Mikhail and ended up hooking up with Jetmir, the leader of the Albanian mob who blamed Mishca for his brother’s death & swore revenge.

There is also Klaus, Mishca’s twin brother who actually killed Jetmir’s brother, but also has a score to settle with Mishca. We got to see a lot more of Klaus in this book, and he eventually becomes a character that you like and want to know more about. (His book, Red, will be #4.)

Luka is still his crazy, funny self who dispels tension and adds humor all while annoying his Captain, Mishca. He is lovable, but has a dark past, which has been alluded to, but we won’t learn it all until his book. (Yay! He’s getting a book!)

We get to see Alex, Mishca’s sister and Amber, Lauren’s old roommate in NYC, a small part with Lauren’s group of friends, Susan and Ross, Lauren’s mom & detective boyfriend and then there is Mikhail, Mishca’s dreaded father.

I know it doesn’t seem like I let you know what really happened in this book, but I feel that if I went into depth too much more, then I’d be giving spoilers! Just know that this is a filled to the max novel with confrontations by enemies & Lauren & Mishca prevailing.

I’ve really enjoyed this series and look forward to the next installments!!

I gotta say, this installment was pretty spectacular! It had everything I wanted that wasn't included in the other two books. They storyline was a lot more my kinda thing. It started off with Mishca and Lauren living their life doing their thing and then there was a wedding... and then a shooting... and then killing... yelling... fighting... the fbi.... Court case... the Albanians... a new Pakhan??.. throw a twin in the mix and add a betrayal and you've got yourself a great story.

There was this twist at the end that I should've seen coming and I didn't and I was baffled. It left me speechless and heartbroken at the same time because you just didnt expect it.

Also, I LOVED KLAUS!! He's the 'evil twin' but I just didn't see the evil in him. he was a smart ass and he suffered and that suffering made him who he was. And I can't wait to find out more about him. His relationship with Mishca was probably my favourite in this book. It was still rocky and you don't exactly know where they stand with each other but the fact that they were talking and not just about killing each other made me super pleased!

I loved that we got more of the secondary characters and their relationship with Lauren and Mishca. Eg. Amber and Alex. And LuKA!!! My wonderful Luka who's hiding something from the Russians and I can't wait to find out what. Also I need to know who Klaus' new target is. Another mystery.

Mishca and Lauren's relationship was at its strongest it's ever been in the entire series. Even with all the obstacles they faced but they faced it together even when Mishca was pulling away at some point. But Lauren... now Lauren I loved! she was strong, and determined and didn't take shit which I adored.

There were some parts that I didn't care for and thought the story would've been the same without some scenes. I wanted more of an ending because it did feel a little incomplete... Maybe I'm just so use to having an epilogue that's a few years later so for me personally I would've really loved to see how Mishca and Lauren were getting a long five years along the line. There were also a few spelling and grammatical errors that stopped the flow of the story for me but other than that I really enjoyed this and I really don't want to say bye to this series just yet.

That was the perfect conclusion to the Mishca and Lauren story line.. I loved the person Lauren turned into.. being with Mishca turned her into a strong woman and I enjoyed this one a lot..
This novel was great closure to Mishca and Lauren's story!!

:D I loved this series. I cant say that I've read a Mafia book like it. And I've read a lot of Mafia/Mob books. Its like I loved every one of the characters. Luka was awesome, fucking different and beautiful, I love him to bits. I loved how Lauren was realistic. She wasn't stupid, naive or anything like most women characters. She was so real, they all were. The story did not seem made up. Or too dramatic. It was realistic and very creative. Mishca. Mishca. Mish! Ok so I could be a little biased because I'm obsessed with Russians, though I dont think so. Anyhow, :) Mishca the babe. His name will forever be permanently engraved in my mind ❤

Well at least the characters got smarter this time.

Enemies were taken care of as of now, but lots was left open. Who is Luka? Who was Klaus told to kill? What is Mishca going to change? What is going to happen to Alex? Lots of questions so you have to read on!

Lots of twist. Who I thought was the traitor wasn't. I was fooled for once.

Good read I wanted to skip to the end just to find out what would happen, but I was a good girl!

Off to the next! Enjoy

The Final Hour delivers a breathtaking conclusion to Mishca and Lauren’s story, brimming with danger, love, and unforgettable twists. London Miller raises the stakes as the couple fights to protect their love from the shadows of the past, with deadly enemies and complex alliances threatening their future.

What I Loved:
- Mishca and Lauren’s Growth: Their relationship has matured beautifully. Lauren stepping into a powerful, protective role while Mishca shows his unwavering devotion is a highlight.
- Non-Stop Action: Bratva politics, assassins, betrayals, and vengeance make for a heart-pounding plot that’s impossible to put down.
- Compelling Side Characters: Luka and Klaus steal the show with their intriguing backstories and layered personalities. I’m eager for their individual stories.
- Lauren’s Realism: She’s intelligent, grounded, and capable—a refreshing and empowering heroine in a mafia romance.
- Tense, Emotional Climax: The book is packed with high-stakes moments that left me holding my breath and flipping pages frantically.

Favorite Moments:
- Mishca’s heartfelt proposal to Lauren, showcasing his softer side amidst the chaos.
- Lauren’s bold decision to work with someone who hates Mishca, proving her determination and resourcefulness.
- Klaus and Luka’s dynamic moments, offering both tension and unexpected humor.

Why It’s 5 Stars:
London Miller masterfully balances action, romance, and character development in this explosive finale. Mishca and Lauren’s story comes full circle, and while some questions remain for spin-off stories, this book delivers a satisfying and emotional conclusion.

Final Thoughts:
The Final Hour is a gripping mafia romance with unforgettable characters, intense action, and a love story that withstands the test of loyalty and danger. If you’ve followed Mishca and Lauren’s journey, this book is a must-read. Now, on to Luka and Klaus—I’m officially hooked on this world!

Espero equivocarme.

I love how Miller switches between povs in her books. The editing on books 2 and 3 were severely lacking, it distracted me a lot. There was a lot of repeated moments and thoughts which was strange.

That aside, I had to knock off a few stars because while it was obvious that Mishca and Lauren had something enduring and real, their passion from book 1 didn't come through. I expected more fire now that they actually had one another. Their trip to Rio was such a let down in that regard. To be honest they sounded like a couple married 15 or so years with how lackluster their relationship felt in this book.

I did enjoy seeing their bond grow despite the drama surrounding them. The big reveals didn't seem too over the top and all the characters play their part well in bringing this story together. I wouldn't say it is a HEA but more of a happy for now.

I'm really hoping Alex and Luka's story will be more passionate and fiery. I'm dying to read more about them and what has been going on behind the scenes all this time.

>Book review – The Final Hour
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 3rd in the Volkov Bratva series and ends in an HEA. The fairy tale wedding ends with Mishca fighting for his life forcing Lauren to reach out to a mercenary to help. There are a lot of hidden plans in this story. Mishca is trying to protect Lauren and change the hierarchy of the Bratva by exiling his father.
>Vengeance against those who kidnapped Lauren and killed Klaus’ girlfriend is swift and violent. Luka is still a goof, but is hiding a secret that is never revealed. Klaus is given a last job, but who he is to target is never revealed either. Both men seem to soften around Lauren. The FBI makes a stand against Mishca, revealing a mole in the Bratva. Wait until the mole is revealed! Never saw that one coming.
>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 5 stars. I love the relationship between Mishca and Lauren. I hated Noelle and was super glad she got hers.

Excellent!! This one brought out a lot of emotions. What Mischa and Lauren have endured is well beyond what most people would...but true love perseveres in the end. A lot of issues are dealt with and or we are given explanations. Each character gets more interesting as time goes on. I didn't like Mikail or Anya from the start so I wasn't sorry to see what happened with either of them. I'm loving Luka and Alex. Klaus "Red" is beyond interesting and the relationship between him and Mischa has caused laughter in a book that is otherwise just chock-a-block full of drama, action and violence. The situation with Vlad actually brought tears to my eyes - I could feel the torment that Mischa was going through.
