When the Demon King Academy is invited over to the human lands for an event with the Gairadite Hero Academy, Anos is looking forward to seeing just what the rest of the world looks like now that peace has come. But the humans haven't forgotten their grudge against the demons--despite the long gap. And bullying soon turns into the rumbles of a new war . . .
This is, once again, very funny. Anos is all set to have a grand vacation, even though that's not what his teachers or the exchange academy has in mind. But Anos isn't one to be put off by what the people of this age consider challenges.
I love how he keeps juxtaposing the way things were 2000 years ago with the world he sees now. Anos just can't bring himself to take bullies seriously. Not when he's used to people who do far, far worse than the relatively minor pranks the demons are subjected to. He remembers cities being razed and people torn apart. And it's only the threat of those things coming back that makes him truly angry.
For a curbstomp novel, this has a lot of plot backing it up. This is the story of Kanon, the greatest human Hero, and how his history has been distorted similarly to Anos. Because the actual truth would make certain people look bad. I love how the end of the book showcases a battle that is both everything it was supposed to be and still Anos flipping the script.
Overall, if you liked the first two novels at all, read this. The first season of the anime ends at the end of this book, but the book does go deeper into some of the events. I rate this book Recommended.
