Every day, all over the world, an increasing number of people are reporting near-death experiences (and related phenomena). This book is a collection of the best stories and quotes I have come across in 40-plus years of studying NDEs. It shines a bright light on the universal truths that are championed by NDEs and reveals, in life-changing technicolor, how to apply these truths to our everyday lives. This book was first published under the title Love The Person You’re With. All 60 chapters of that book are included in this one. 31 additional chapters have been added. The book is being published under a new title to reach more people. New content has been added to explore some topics in greater depth. Other tweaks, including enhanced references, have been added to make the book easier to read, remember, and study. The book includes stories and quotes from 52 experiencers and 10 researchers, including Howard Storm, Tom Sawyer, Reinee Pasarow, Dianne Morrissey, Oliver John Calvert, Erica McKenzie, Andy Petro, Amy Call, Mary Jo Rapini, Anne Horn, Ellyn Dye, Mellen-Thomas Benedict, Ryan Rampton, Natalie Sudman, Amphianda Baskett, Mary Neal, Julie Aubier, Julian of Norwich, Barbara Harris Whitfield, Anita Moorjani, Jeff Olsen, Cami Renfrow, Louisa Peck, Ana Cecilia, Peter Panagore, Alon Anava, Tricia Barker, Samuel Bercholz, Arthur Yensen, George Ritchie, Linda Stewart, Cecil Willy, Lorna Byrne, Rene Jorgensen, Mary Deioma, Krystal Winzer, David Sunfellow, Kenneth Ring, Laurin Bellg, Jeffrey Long, Sheila, Dennis, and Matthew Linn, Kevin Williams, Barbara R. Rommer, and John W. Price. Along with fantastic content, this book has a companion website that showcases the experiencers, researchers, and remarkable videos that are featured in the book.
This was one of the better books about Near Death Experiences that I have read. It's written in "plain English", meaning that it doesn't go into philosophical monologues about consciousness and explanations about how the Universe works, without saying anything in the end. The author truly put an effort into explaining how God Interlakes not only with Humans but with every Soul on this planet, the result of which showed me how perfect and meaningful the "big picture" is. I won't go so far as to say that this book changed my life or that I won't be making any more mistakes or never hurt anyone from now on but I certainly will put more thought behind my actions as well as my words My humble opinion is that this book ought to be on every sixth grader's reading list, regardless of country or religion. Your children are far more likely to succeed in making the World a better place by learning about the consequences of their actions than by who started which war or how the atomic bomb came to be.
This wonderful and inspiring compilation of the wisdom garnered from Near Death Experiencers is so simple, and so profound, that everyone (including skeptics) will find moving and enlightening. David Sunfellow has carefully curated nuggets of information to guide us along our path as humans who have forgotten our connection to the Divine. Many thanks to all those who shared their experiences and insights, may your light continue to shine and guide us along our path.
Some of the stories might be NEDs. Some, I suppose, are subconscious thoughts that we weren't aware that we had, and were triggered by shocking moments in life. Lots of Buddhist ideas. Some concepts do have weak arguments, or arguments that are without proof or cannot be proven. The writers often contradict themselves.
I've long taken inspiration from Near-Death Experiences because they tell us that really, life is for loving, learning and living. It's not much more complicated than that. In addition, I simply had to include two of the stories that come at the end of the book on a recent episode of my podcast devoted to this topic, which you can listen to here:
A fascinating collection of Near Death Experiences
This is a wonderful collection of thoughts, experiences, insights and discoveries from near death experiencers all in one place. This book is a treasure chest of knowledge and insights. It’s a definite “must read.”
Really wonderful collection of stories, lessons, experiences, and advice from people who have experienced NDEs. I read a little bit every day - very enjoyable!
This is such a necessary book, like Elisabeth Kubler-Ross's books in similar and different ways and like sites like Kevin Williams's near-death.com. I'm a literal person who literally gets to the bottom of things so this book was very necessary for me, tho it doesn't always get concisely to the bottom of the description of the essence of souls and how and why it is forever, but it does explain PREcisely how and why... just in many different ways, in many different stories, using many different methods, all of them long or longish explanations tho always captivating ones... but this book is for that, it is not a university scientific paper, and I need to remember that. I can write my own book with a part that explains it literally AND concisely if I want to.
I enjoyed all the uplifting true stories and their meaning. There are so many of them that I always glean something new from the book whenever I read parts of it again. Over 100 stories, and the collector of them, David Sunfellow, has a part he wrote too about what he learned from it all. I always feel calmer after reading this book. Sometimes excited too. It tells us in as many ways as they can how it all works, to reach as many people as possible. And "Love who you're with" is as important as "be with who you love," and really is kind of the same thing sometimes, tho the opposite or something else other times.
I would not recommend it had no content it just gave random thoughts. Nothing made sense and it was more new age than real. I did not like that it did not line up with what I believe in...God’s Holy Bible.
The contents of this book are informative and eye-opening. I enjoyed learning about NDE’s and reading different perspectives. However, this book needed some major editing, copy editing, and proofreading. The structure needs work, and it was distracting as a reader. If it were more organized and had less grammatical errors, it might’ve been a more enjoyable read.
David Sunfellow has gathered wisdom from many experiencers and researchers which inspired me and answered most of my questions. I especially appreciated his inclusion of hellish experiences, about which I’d still like to understand better.
