I’M LIZETTE CLARY, aka Epic Fail Girl, internet-famous for being an embarrassment. It’s my career, brand, and life. It even landed me an internet-famous boyfriend who wants to get married. I love partying with Tommy. I guess I can’t imagine marrying anyone else.
But the wedding is totally bananas. Between sabotaging ex-editors and megalomaniac in-laws, I def can’t survive without the help of Jason Moon: a Pulitzer-winning photojournalist who saved me from addiction once. Oh, and my former dom. The fact I used to be in love with him isn’t important. He made it clear we’re Just Friends and he’s willing to keep my wedding from becoming one more Epic Fail.
There’s no way that our burning mutual attraction could ever go wrong.
I’M JASON MOON, and I’m about to watch the woman I love marry another man. It’s fine. I’m fine. I’m only worried about the stress sending Lizette back to the loving arms of Jose Cuervo. The only way to help seems to be taking over wedding planning. And why not? She used to be my submissive. We’re still co-editors, partners, and friends. Her wedding will go off without a hitch or I’m not Jason Moon.
Preparing Lizette for one last challenge means spending a lot of time together. Talking to her. Laughing with her. Remembering how my life is better in every way when she’s by my side. I might not be able to let her walk down the aisle when I’m done—even though claiming Lizette as mine will ruin her wedding and her life. I've always been the responsible one who makes all the right decisions. Maybe it's time to make a few big mistakes of my own.
I spent most of My Fair Millennial 3 wonder “what the heck?!?” Granted, that confusion was directed to Lizette most of the time, but Jason got that reaction from me more than his fair share as well. These two were about as opposite as two people could be, but they were also meant for each other – which everyone remotely close to them could see, except for them. *sigh*
It would have been way too easy to expect things to take a turn between Lizette and Jason in this, the final book in the series, but still, I didn’t expect to find Lizette where she was when this book began. I thought she had grown beyond… well… pretty much everything she was before. In some ways she had, but Jason had unintentionally broken her heart, so Tommy was the next best thing. Yikes!
My Fair Millennial 3 kind of snuck up on me. Not that I didn’t love it from the beginning – regardless about how irritated I was with Lizette, but I reached a certain point in the book where it became impossible to put down. A lot of this book was like watching a train wreck about to happen – you knew things were going to blow up and there was nothing you could do to stop it. It was also mixed with the sweet moments between Jason and Lizette that just screamed how much in love they were with each other – just not loud enough that they could hear it.
Obviously, there was a lot to love about My Fair Millennial 3, but there was also a lot to not love – and that list (of characters) seemed to grow as the story progressed. I haven’t been a big fan of Tommy since the beginning of the series, but his family was worse. A few of my other “favorite” characters to “hate” kept popping back up too – some people just never learn. And yeah, some of that was a little over the top, but so was pretty much everything in Lizette’s world. It’s part of her charm 😉
Basically, this series was silly, sweet, at times unbelievable, but mostly just plain fun. I really hope we haven’t seen the last of Lizette and friends. There’s so much I want to know about what comes next. There are so many great characters that I want to get to know better. Puppies to train, babies to name, weddings to plan… but I digress. Elle Hume definitely took me by surprise with this series and I loved every minute of it. ❤
I received My Fair Millennial 3 in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Oh, wooooowwwwww. Lizette. No. NO. You seemed like you were heading toward your happy place and then you did this. I mean, Tommy? REALLY.
Okay. Right. I spent the first half of this book lamenting Lizette's lack of impulse control and her inability to separate herself from her brand. I mean, I GET the importance of her brand to her, but marrying a guy just because he fits the image you want to project even though the thought of spending the rest of your life with him sends you into a mini panic attack every time isn't the way to do things.
Oh, Lizette.
And then there's Jason. Again, I get where he was coming from, but NOOOOO. Do something about this, man. Don't just stand there and let things happen because...ARRGH.
Okay. I think I'm better. Lizette and Jason. I honestly adore these two together. Jason is good for Lizette and Lizette is good for Jason. They might not seem like the ideal couple on paper, but they fit. THEY FIT. So well. He smooths her rough edges. She gets him to loosen up. And they care about each other. SO MUCH. Jason wants Lizette healthy and happy (and sober). Lizette wants to keep provoking smiles out of Jason even when things are patently unsmile-able.
Crazy wedding shenanigans, crazy ex-partners, crazy family time, and one couple who's crazy in love with one another if they'd just get out of their way long enough to realize it.
MAN, this was a wild ride from beginning to end. And I loved every frustrating second of it.
What an amazing book. It kept me guessing, made me cry sad tears, and then it made me cry happy tears.
Where to begin?
I couldn't believe Lizette was still going to marry Tommy. I wanted Jason to man up save her from him, and herself. But he wanted to do the right thing and not horn in on her relationship. :( Then there's the Kinrade family and that sword, Lizette trying to stay true to her brand, and a puppy, and an MIA photographer...it all had to come to a head.
You'll never guess what Jason does once he realizes that this was real, Lizette was going to be married, and he needed to freaking stop her. And Tommy...for once, I am happy with what he did because it gave Lizette the courage to break loose to be with her one true love. Jason. Say it with me: Awwww.
I love these two, and I love the journey they made to get to each other. It wasn't always pleasant, it wasn't always comfortable, and it wasn't always logical. But they fit. They work.
(And the very end? Holy God hot, hot, hot! And it was beautiful).
So in other words...I loved this damn book and these characters and I am happy and sad because while they got their HEA, the series is over. Or is it? Hmmmm.

These books are so utterly enjoyable. I’m both happy and sad each time one comes to an end. It seems so strange that this annoying Millennial has still not driven me mad, but I’m completely in love.
Lizette is giving monogamy a go with Tommy and things are headed in exactly the direction that you’d expect for someone normal (not Lizette). Jason is firmly a friend, but everyone around them knows that that will never last. These two crazies are destined for one another, whether they see it or not. After a quick turn of events on vacation and some relapsing, Lizette is on the fast-track to crazy town complete with impending wedding! Lucky for her, the people around her will not let that happen. I really don’t want to give away too many details, but if you’ve come along on the journey, you will not be disappointed here. I was also super pleased to find out that we are not breaking up with these two and get even more insanity in another book!
Lizette and Jason do it again! This book was so frustratingly good! I mean that in the best way, frustrating because you just want them to FINALLY be together and get to the point where you start to wonder if it's ever going to happen.
I just love Lizette and Jason and I love their story, I feel like I can't quit gushing over how wonderful they are. They are my favorite characters that I have read in a long time! The chemistry and attraction between the two is just off the charts. This book cracked me up. I loved Larry's line where he says "Literally everyone" that made me laugh! It's so true!!
Elle has a way of dragging the reader into a book and not letting them out. I can never put these books down, I always read them in one sitting. They are just that good and so easy to read, it flows so nicely you start the book and the next thing you know it's ending and the book hangover creeps in.
Lizette started off as Epic Fail Girl, a girl with a big heart but with underlying issues she covered with drugs, booze and setting up more epic fails. In this third installment Lizette is as real as can be. Finally dealing with underlying issues and leaning on Jason as her BFF to help he stay on track. With upcoming nuptials with Tommy she needs a lot of his help to not end up with another Epic Fail and he effeminately steps up. This book is filled with the charm of the others and the two grow together quite a lot. Thankfully we get some payoff in the end because I don't know if I could have made it through another book without some resolution.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a fair review.
Third in this series in this one, Lizette, the millennial who can't seem to help but sabotage herself is back and trying to convince herself she wants to marry her lawyer boyfriend with whom she is trying out monogamy for apparently the first time. At the same time, her dom/mentor Jason is trying to convince himself he should support her decision. Add in an absent fiance and domineering future in-laws and as might be expected things are not going well, but do have their entertaining moments. I'm amazed I'm still following this series since Lizette is really not my cup of tea, but I keep thinking things are going to get better. Towards the end it seems like this might be the case. But I guess we may have to wait for another volume in the series to provide the answer.
With ow things changed in the last book between Jason and Lizette I was anxious to see where things went with this book and well yeah nothing is ever easy with Lizette. Be ready to want to shake the living daylights out of both Lizette and Jason as they go long with this crazy wedding to Tommy, be ready to bit your nail as you know some epic disaster is likely to happen, be ready to loath some characters and want to slap them, be ready for lots of love, distrust and not nice people and obviously be ready for a great read so get comfy and let those around you know you may be mumbling or yelling as you read this book. 😉
Oh, the undeniable torture of this one!! Watching Lizette plan a wedding with an absent Tommy and embarking on more of the JMoon diet? It’s a good thing there’s so much comedy to break up the angst, because my heart was hurting the entire time I was reading. Okay, real talk, if you’ve read Elle’s alter-ego before, you know that she doesn’t really do standalone books. So the really cool thing about her style - and this whole series so far - is that you get the chance to dive so much deeper into these characters. When we started, Lizette was surface-level, vapid, and happy to exist for the Internet. Jason was stuffy and opinionated. Now, we have these really three dimensional, flawed characters who continue to grow with each other. The Lizette in this book couldn’t be more opposite to the one we originally met. And the Jason has changed so much too. They orbit each other, completely meant to be together, almost as completely oblivious as they are about it. Don’t stone me for mentioning Twilight, but there was this line in there about magnets, and that’s exactly how these two are. So drawn together. But as Valentine says, so stupid for smart people. I am waiting with baited breath for the fourth installment!
Lizette goes on a working vacation with her boyfriend, Tommy. Right before they are scheduled to go home he pops the question. She has help planning the wedding from Jason. She isn't happy but she pretends to be. No spoilers! I can't get enough of Lizette & Jason. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. The story sucks you in & you can't out it down. Great character development, easy to visualize, & lots of sass. You have to out this series on your TBR list.
OMFG book three is awesome!!!! It’s funny, it’s shocking, it’s riveting, it’s sweet and it has genuine lol moments. This is a wonderful end to the trilogy. There are some fabulous nods to various films and books which are lovely touches. It looks like there’ll be more books coming soon too and I honestly cannot wait. #love #romcom
well written rom com that i spent most of the book yelling at Lizette to see what we could see that she was letting him perfect take a step back, she is planing a wedding where the family butt in left right and centre but she has so much help from Jason but cant see he is perfect for her. Loved and hated the book as Lizette muddled her way along as she always does
Funny that an early gen x'er gets such not joy reading about a screwy millennial and her completely chaotic life! But I do! Sweet, funny and full of life this is a great book!💖
I received a copy of this book for free in exchange of a review. The Kid and Epic Fail Girl's wedding is upon us and there's lots of laughter and tears. I saw that ending coming but it was still a fun read.
OMG this book tore my heart apart and then stitched it back together with hashtags and sass!! The ongoing story of Jason and Lizette will leave you wrung out and emotionally ragged and you will love every minute of it!! I am so in love with this pair its ridiculous!!! I defy you not to laugh out loud at this one often while your heart is breaking!! Bravo!! This one you really really cant miss!!
