On a summer vacation at the seashore, three little Swedish brothers almost float away in a washtub before they learn to swim well enough to place first, second, and third in the boys races.
Maj Lindman (Mrs. Maj Lindman-Hulten) lived in Stockholm, Sweden. She attended the Royal Academy of Arts in Stockholm, and also studied art in Paris, France. She wrote and illustrated numerous children's books, but she is best known for her delightful tales of triplet girls Flicka, Dicka and Ricka and their boy counterparts, Snipp, Snapp and Snurr.
Energetic young boys almost find themselves lost at sea precipitating the need for swimming lessons. As always, the wholesome triplets take it a step further and magically excel at swimming after a few short lessons. Still, a good example of the bad things that can happen all too quickly when out on the water.
