The fall of a powerful gangster is just the beginning… It was just another crime scene and just another body as a turf war gripped the city but things take a shocking turn when Dr. Jake Tyler is abducted and the body stolen. Determined to restore his reputation and solve a crime without a body, Jake risks his life and career when he battles wits with the elusive and merciless head of an Irish crime family. Too stubborn to back down and take the loss, he’s determined to get answers and see justice served. Sometimes, too much power is the hardest curse to break and Dilan O’Shea is trapped when his father goes into witness protection. Dilan’s devotion to his baby brother and fear for his family forces him into a life of deception and crime. The murder he’s determined to hide is the least dangerous of his secrets. It’s just another piece of the deadly high-stakes game Dilan’s playing when he snatches the snarky, hardheaded medical examiner. Jake can’t keep his mind off the brutal mobster and the investigation gets complicated when they can’t stay out of each other’s way or keep their hands off each other. Dilan gets more than he bargained for and he has no choice but to trust a man he kidnapped at gunpoint. Can two men from opposite sides of the law solve a mystery together or will their inescapable passion cost them everything? This is a stand-alone title but features characters from Throttled.

Well this took me by surprise and I really enjoyed it 😊 Jake is snatched by supposed Irish Maria after he tried to save the incineration of a body. What evolves from this is an unsuspecting romance and connection between a cop and a gang leader. The Irish brother connection between Dillon & Roan was actually sweet and loyalty went a long way. Think I need a bit more from these boys !
Let's start off by saying this is a brand new author for us and we absolutely loved our first story by them.I loved everything about this story and it's character's.
This story was filled with love, humor and intrigue, murder, crime syndicate drama, betrayals, brotherly love and a forbidden love story and we loved every bit of it.
We loved Dilan and Roan from the onset of the story as they started things off with a bang and had us enmeshed in the story right from the very beginning to the very end.Roan and Dilan are tied up in the crime syndicate life and its never a dull moment for them and the only thing they both crave is a life less crazy and they want to make it happen.
Jake Tyler is a cop and a medical examiner who lands right into the middle of the O 'Shea's shit storm and an unlikely friendship forms between the two men but, Jake is drawn to the charismatic bad boy with those smoldering dark looks and bada** tattoo's and has no business lusting for the bad boy when he is a cop and Dilan is a gangster.
Dilan was one of those character's that you can't help but love with his sexy bod who's loaded with tattoo's and has a bada** aura but, we also felt his sadness and and all that weight that he constantly carried around on his shoulders but, we saw a spring in his step any time he was around the sexy Jake Tyler !
Dilan and Jake can't seemed to be able to fight the chemistry between them but, when they give into their desires things get more complicated and even more dangerous but, they are having a whole lot of fun.We loved Dilan and Jake when they were together as they were super hot together some who say smoldering ! We loved seeing them fall in love and lengths that both of them were willing to go to to keep this new relationship and the love that they had for one another alive if only Dilan out smarts and out whits the demons that follow him around.
A couple of our favorite quotes
Jake -
“You’re like Robin Hood, the Candy Man and Judge Dredd! Awesome,” he said extremely sarcastically and Dilan waved dismissively."
“You don’t want to know,” he promised. It would have been a tiny McDonald’s sign, just above Roan’s pubes, and proudly declared “Over 1 Million Served”.
Overall the story was amazing and we loved it.It was fun and full of danger and intrigue, betrayals, surprises ,murder and forbidden love and drama and more than a few twists and turns and was all about second chances. The story kept you glued to that pages the entire time just to see what was going to happen next.I have to say that we laughed and cried and we were rooting for happy endings for all parties involved.
A refreshing series that we absolutely fell in love with!

I thought the love I had for Wal in Throttled could not be matched... And then K goes ahead and writes Snatched and suddenly I'm fan-girling like a fool over Dilon and Jake (and don't even get me started on Roan, OMG!).
Snatched will keep you engaged from the start, where you're thrown right into the action immediately. I love that this author assumes you're intelligent enough to follow along with the action and doesn't pull punches with the narrative. You can tell that K has spent time in this world and understands the nuances of crime, investigation, underworld figures and police procedures and her books read brilliantly as a result.
I adored the dynamics between Jake, our resident "good guy" and Dilon, the so-called, self-styled "bad guy". The way these characters interact, as their attraction and then relationship develops, is wonderfully honest and delightfully realised. Throw in the brilliant Roan, the ever incredible Wal, and a gamut of bad guys and you have a fantastic thriller romance that will keep you guessing as to who the real bad guy is and cheering on Jake and Dilon as their relationship deepens.
One hell of a fun read! I can't wait for Roan's book #grabbyhands
From the moment that Dilan kidnaps Jake this book just gets better and better. A Irish mafia boss and a coroner shouldn't have anything in common but when attraction strikes and they are forced to spend time together they might be more compatible than they first think. They just have to manage to keep what they have a secret while dealing with rival gangs, betrayal and the plan of getting away without any fall back.
I love how under all of Dilans tough exterior is someone who cares deeply for those he love and how strong Jake really is and with a lovely stubborn streak. Their mutual seduction of each other is totally hot and that both of them is new to this is even hotter.
I loved Dilan and Jake, but I'm really intrigued by Dilans brother Roan who hides his cunning brain behind jokes and sex. Can't wait for his book.
Check this book out. You won't be disappointed. It's got it all. Mystery ? Yep. Back stabbings? Yep. Irish accents ? Yep. (Drool) Hot Dr.? Yep A cameo from Wal with his new look on life? Yep Hot as hell bedroom? Yep Living by their own rules? Yep. The love of family? Yep Did I say hot guy's? Yep. Fast paced? Yep. I really loved these guys they just clicked when they shouldn't have. If you're new to the world of K.Sterling. This is a perfect place to start.
I liked the first book in this series more - this one was good but nothing I'll remember. I struggled a little bit with the believability of it all. Interesting characters, lots of action but the romance was very instant and it wrapped up a little too easily.
Jake is a coroner, just going about his job picking up another dead body. Just a day in the life, when him and his body are kidnapped.
Dilan is an Irish mob “boss”. He doesn’t really want the job but to protect his brother he’ll do whatever it takes. Including stealing a body that he thinks will incriminate his brother. Oh yea, and stealing the coroner too. He has a hole in his back that needed to be fixed up.
Dilan’s first kiss with a man shouldn’t have been with the man he snatched, and Jake’s first kiss with a man shouldn’t of been with the criminal he’d patched up. Shoulda, coulda, woulda. Their both in way over their heads.
So begins the saga of Jake and Dilan.
I adored these guys. Jake was a very practical man and a mob boss totally threw him off his game and right into the arms of love. Dilan was a cold, calculating man, except when it came to his family. I liked the insta-love (I’m a sucker for that). The characters were very well thought out and the story line was great. Then there’s Roan. I don’t think I’ve ever got so invested in a secondary character. He tried really hard to steal the book from Jake and Dilan. Can’t wait for his book.

Can I even truly describe how much I love Snatched? No, no I cannot. It's a heck of a lot though.
Jake is perfect as the competent, stubborn, noble medical examiner, and Dilan just broke my heart as the reluctant mobster backed into a corner. Their scenes together were electric and compelling, and I truly wanted to see them make it out of the mess they found themselves in. And anytime Dilan's brother Roan appeared on the page, I pretty much squealed in delight. He was absolutely my favourite character, and while he didn't steal the book, thankfully, I am super glad he's getting his own soon.
As the follow-up to Throttled, Snatched has all the real, flawed, lovable MCs and secondary characters, hot sex, emotional heart-wrenching moments, wonderful dark thrilly twists, and laugh out loud humour as the first book. (It can be read on it's own, but honestly, why would you want to? Throttled was amazing too ) There are also some hurt/comfort and bad!dad moments in this one, which are beautifully executed and also completely my jam as a romance reader, so thank you for that and also for such a fantastic read, K. Sterling <3
This book caught me from page one and kept me hooked throughout. From the moment big bad gang leader Dilon, kidnaps Jake, I knew we were in for a wild ride. I love the whole good boy/bad boy trope, and Ms Sterling does it so well.
What followed was an engrossing and interesting story of double dealing, treachery, complicated relationships, a mixed bunch of characters, secrets and lies and a good dollop of lust, humour and snarky comments. Everything I love about this lady's work.
Dilon is wonderfully written, his gruff issue ridden and clever character had a lot to put up with, not least the shenanigans of his little brother, Roan. I thought that Dilon's vulnerability where the irascible and feisty Jake's concerned, was sigh worthy.
I liked the storyline, the emotion, the action and the flawed, but real people. Ms Sterling never lets me down , I love her quirky writing style and mostly delinquent characters. Can't wait for Roan's story.
Irish mob boss or priest or lover - Dilan O’Shea ! ❤️
Fascinating story of the head of the Charles Hill Gang, Dilan O’Shea and Jake Tyler, Chief Medical Examiner for the police department - and what an exciting story it is! The story begins with Jake and his assistant picking up an unidentified body covered with a combination of shamrocks and Aryan themed tattoos. Then everything goes badly for Jake as he is snatched along with the body! This story will take you right into Dilan’s Irish mob world which is politics with deadly results. Enemies with hot lust for each other from the beginning each trying not to die. Exciting characters which will make you anxious to read the next book!
K. Sterling is an amazing writer who can make the worst villain a romantic figure along the way. Her books are always an immediate buy for me! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book and purchased it for my library to support my author!
Coroner doctor is kidnapped by the bad guy leader of the Irish mafia so the doctor can treat an injury the bad guy received from one of his other mafia "friends." A little of everything in this entertaining book similar to "Zero to the Bone," one of my all time favorites (without Zero's quirky dialogue). Of course, the doctor and bad guy have an immediate attraction, and, of course, the bad guy is not nearly as bad as he seems and, of course, the bad guy has a carefree whore of a brother who keeps everyone entertained and saves the day.
I liked this book enough that I've purchased the next one (about the brother) and its next on my reading list.
K. Sterling has a gift of creating worlds and characters that you can get lost in..Jake and Dilan are no exception. Dilan must figure out how to drop the masquerade to create his truth in Sanctuary Mills.
Snatched was fast paced and slightly dangerous. I couldn't help rooting for "bad" boy Dilan.
If you like insta love, gay for you, and bad boys that are truly good Snatched is the book for you. It makes for a great weekend read. Tips
I’m amazed every time I read a K. Sterling book. She has an incredible talent for creating lovable ‘bad’ guys and intricate stories and Jake and Dilan’s is no different. This book is full of action, suspense and of course a lot of feels. I was pretty snowed on whodunnit till close to the end. Although it’s the second in the series, it can be read as a standalone. Anxiously looking forward to the next one!
Dilan, Roan, Jake and of course Wal and Marcus were all awesome. I loved how Dilan and Jake were so new to love and did so honestly and deeply. Two grown men so happily and stupidly in love with each other. I hate how the brothers were betrayed by someone so loyal and I don't think that last betrayal was necessary but it is what it is.I just love their HEA... looking forward to following Roans escapades for a while
I enjoyed Jake and Dilan’s story as they navigate through their careers and Family. They tried so hard to resist and yet, couldn’t deny the feelings building up within.
I love Sterling’s writing. She takes characters you wouldn’t think work together and makes them work with a healthy dose of steam. This book is funny and sweet with dashes of tension as Dilan tries exit his gang peaceably.
Not gonna lie, the storyline with the Irish Mafia was kind of confusing to me. That may be because I read the third book first and then Snatched. The description of the first book didn't catch my eye, but I think I'll give it a try. This book was AMAZING though and I loved it more than Flipped. I thought I had already read pretty much every good m/m book, but this took me by surprise. I totally recommend it, Dilan and Roan were perfect together. Heat, with just the right amount of fluff.
Oh what fun! Roan was my favorite character here. What a clever, clever man. A tight, taunt thriller, a whirlwind love story, and a mob story worthy of GoodFellas and The Godfather franchise all rolled into one amazingly entertaining and exciting read. I did feel bad for Connor in the end. But so happy for Jake and Dilan. Roan's story is next, can't wait!
I love the way Ms Sterling writes and how she can make you love the men who start out as bad guys. She can really come up with creative and heartwarming stories.
This cover is beautifull..the story is amazing...thr characters were fun snd interesting..well written and fast paced...id highly recommend this to my friends who enjoy this genre.it was wonderful!
Interesting story with two hot guys with chemistry from their first meeting. I could not put it down. Only my second book by this author but there will be more.
I loved this book. K. Sterling is great and she did not disappoint with this book. Dilan and jake are fantastic and it was nice to see the continuation from Throttled.
K Sterling's Snatched is a great suspense/thriller. It's riveting and compelling, keeping me intrigued throughout. Heck, it starts with an action scene that drew me into this crazy mix of murder and crime families immediately.
Dilon and Jake are absolutely amazing together. Two men who shouldn't be together, they definitely belong together. The way they meet is great, as Dilon steals one of Jake's dead bodies. Yes, you read that right. Jake is a coroner. It doesn't get much more unique than that. As the two spend time together, trying to figure out who the bad guy is, they fall in love quite quickly.
It's refreshing as this is the first time either has kissed a man, and they both do so with someone they shouldn't be involved with at all. They are hot together as they explore this new attraction.
Their relationship involves a whole lot of action and danger, as they deal with rivals, crime families, and a whole lot of lies, betrayal and manipulation.
I am beyond impressed with how seamlessly K Sterling's able to make us fall in love with a murderer. Dilon's so damn lovable in the end, despite his past. We start learning about his history early on, allowing us to get glimpses at what made him into the bad guy that he is. And, holy hell, a murderer who we can fall in love with, who's romantic side jumps off the pages, is as good as it gets.
Overall, K Sterling's writing is fluid, has well developed characters and non-stop entertainment. She excels in her sharp writing and her flawless delivery.
The end is fantastic, the whole idea of Dilon ending up where he does is just phenomenal and a whole lot of fun. Dilon's a great character, as he's a tough mob guy who loves and protects fiercely.
Snatched is an amazing action romance, that spares no punches, with an impeccable pace. I can't wait for the next book in the series, which I can only hope involves Dilon's brother Roan.
Dilan and Roan O'Shea were born into the Irish Mafia.
Their father, Dinny was the boss of one of the Irish gangs and he ruled his family with a fist of iron, beating the boys on a daily occurrence. It seemed that Diiny waited until Delan was old enough to take over from him that he turned informant taking a lot of his friends and allies down with him. This made it hard for people to respect and trust Dilan, who truthfully along with Roan did not want the Mafia lifestyle.
Roan always acting the young fool was actually very clever and was moving their assets for the disappearance day. Since one of the bosses had been taken out their was a war to take over his patch, Dilan only acting like it. There were dead bodies found on a daily basis, but when somebody set up the murder of another boss, Bannon, to look like Dilan had done it, he had to think fast. He waited at the crime scene until only the ME and his assistant was left collecting the body. He then kidnapped both body and ME, Jake. Dilan also wanted Jake for another reason!!! The night before he had been stabbed in the back and wanted him to sew it up. Betrayal is a hard pill to swallow, but it was someone close to him that had stabbed him.
A spark between the two men started, which they both ignored to begin with but the pull was too much for both of them. A turn of events has Dilan fearing for his life and Roan making a tough decision for his family. Will Dilan and Roan get free? Will Jake turn his back on his profession? This is a very different M/M book with lots of twists and turns....
I really enjoyed Throttled Marco and Wal's story but I think this maybe my new favorite. The in-depth characters with all their quirks and many facets is what K Sterling is best at writing. This author delivers unique, real beautiful characters that insure it is hard to put the book down. The story line is another imaginative tale that keeps the readers interest. Jake is the coroner and when he's taken along with a body he's collecting he knows he'll right back. Jake thinks it's pretty clear what the head of the Charles Hill Gang has done but what he doesn't know is why he feels the way he does.Jake is on the side of good, right, the law but he knows the O'Shea brothers aren't. Jake realises not all is how it seems. He doesn't really want to fight his feelings but can two such different people work? Dilan can feel the attraction, afraid to admit how he feels, he's in the middle of a very complicated situation and doesn't need anymore trouble. One kiss is all it takes and he can't stay away. Dilan's need to protect Jake could become a problem between the two men. A lot is about to change in Dilans world but can he make room for one more? This is another great read from this author. The reason the books are so enjoyable is because as well as being well written they have a very interesting story line and great characters.
I really enjoyed this book. Dilan is the leader of an Irish mob who kidnaps the other MC, Jake, who is the medical examiner for the police. There's basically an instant attraction, even though Dilan doesn't want to involve Jake any more than he has to because the mob isn't too happy with Dilan and his brother Roan, and might be trying to get rid of them.
I was okay with the insta-love just because both the MCs are older (late 30s), and at that age you've seen and done a lot, and I think the author did a good job of describing their feelings. Once they realized they felt the same, the man smex and steam was great.
I had no clue how Dilan and Roan were going to be able to break away from the mob without ending up dead, but again the author did a good job of wrapping everything up nicely in a somewhat realistic way.
I enjoyed this so much that now I'm going to go find the book with Wal and read up on him and his love!
This is the first series I’ve read by this author an I’m absolutely enjoying it. I already need more of these guys.
Jake- a medical examiner never thought this would happen to him. what happens when you get kidnapped by an Irish mobster? You go with him of course. Oh and you give him a run for his money. Sassy mouth and all the smart assery there could be.
Dilan- Irish mobster, maybe. He’s had a hell of a life. Bad childhood. Bad mistake’s after the other. He just wants what’s left of his family to be safe. An if kidnapping Jake is what it takes that’s what he’ll do. He just never expected him to be such a pain in the ass. Or is he?
I love these two. They are such opposites but alike in so many ways. These two have so much to overcome. All the twist and turns to have a normal life. No murders, no betrayal, no hidden ghost. Just a normal life in a small town, with love and kindness.
